Q: It does not come out to 7.99 as you posted in your ad. How can I get it for 7.99$.?
A: You have to buy it after the Black Friday ad starts.
Q: Can i use it as a wifi out of the box without activation?
A: I don't see why not. I've done it with other phones. Turn on the phone's wifi, put in your password if the router is password protected and that's it. Some places like public libraries and McDonald's have free public wifi. These make great inexpensive internet surfing devices.
Q: Is this phone unlocked for use on another GSM network?
A: AT&T will unlock it only after six months service on their network.
Q: Is there a specific Micro SD card to use with the Mvaen to expand the memory?
A: The Maven 3 is expandable up to a 32gb microSD.
Q: Hi, my mother has a safelink account. can I use this phone and transfer the minutes over?
A: I bought a phone that was locked to AT&T. I was able to use it with SafeLink by purchasing a TracFone and AT&T compatible SIM card. I put the SIM card in and then called SafeLink and they did what they had to do to get it to work. So I don't see why this one wouldn't work as well.

A: After doing some research I am now able to answer my own question as both phones cannot be in sleep mode when attempting to do this.
