Q: what is the size of the box

A: Comes in 2 (two) boxes: approx. 66"x26"x5" and approx. 30"x25"x4"

Q: It said it mounts to the wall. I'm looking for something that stands on its own like a bookcase. Do have any ideas on which one I should pick.

A: There is mounting hardware included to prevent it from tipping over due to kids climbing, etc. I chose not to use it and it stands like a bookshelf against the on its own just fine.

Q: what's the length, width and height?

A: The height is 60.5 inches, the width is 37.25 inches and the depth is 7.25 inches.

Q: can this hold a 40 inch flat panel television on top?

A: no problem. But where will you be to watch the TV???

Q: Is the 9.13 in width of the bottom foot or the actual shelves ? DVDs are about 5 1/2 in. and I see in some reviews that the DVDs over hang the shelves so they must be like 5 inches or less . So my question is what is the actual depth of the shelves??

A: The shelves are 4 1/2 inches deep, and the outer walls of the unit are 9 inches deep.

Q: What is that actual color?? I've seen other pictures of this same unit on the Atlantic website and it looks black. It is still called the Espresso model and the photos make it look like it's black and not the chocolate brown seen in the photos.
