About this product
Upgrade a wide range of audio/video components, constant-current (source components) and variable-current (amplification components) alike, with AudioQuest’s Monsoon 3-pole AC power cable. Monsoon features TRUE-Concentric Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) and Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors that have been carefully controlled for directionality to efficiently drain RF-noise. ZERO-Tech ensures uncompressed current transfer while RF/ND-Tech minimizes circuit misbehavior by cancelling induced RF noise for quiet backgrounds and thrilling dynamics.
Cable Length
6.5'Perfect-Surface Copper+ and Long-Grain Copper Conductors
The astonishingly smooth and pure Perfect-Surface processed conductors minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries and surface discontinuities that exist in any metal conductor. With only superior Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) on the outside, Monsoons conductors are essentially all PSC+ with a Long-Grain Copper (LGC) core. Superior metal greatly reduces ear-fatiguing distortion for a more enjoyable listening experience.
TRUE-Concentric Conductor Geometry
While Semi-Solid Concentric conductors use fewer, larger strands that do not change position along the length of a cable, TRUE-Concentric conductors push this concept even further, spiraling each successive layer of strands in the direction opposite to the one beneath it. Because this arrangement places more contact pressure at the points of contact, rather than lines of contact, the overall strand interaction distortion is meaningfully reduced.
ZERO-Tech for Uncompressed Current Transfer
While many AC power cables feature low DC resistance in order to accommodate the demand for high current, a cables characteristic impedance is also crucial for optimal performance. Unlike most AC cables that constrict or compress an audio-provoked transient, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and zero (no) characteristic impedance in order to deliver uncompressed transients on demand.
RF/ND-Tech
AC Ground wires may provide protection from an electrical short circuit, but they also act as an antenna. Thus, they are subject to induced radio-frequency noise. This RF noise bypasses component power supplies and is typically coupled directly into a systems most sensitive audio/video circuits. AudioQuests RF/ND-Tech greatly reduces this distortion, yielding unprecedented levels of noise dissipation across the widest range of radio frequencies possible.
High-Quality Molded Plugs
Designed to minimize distortion while easily accommodating a wide range of components, including electronics and subwoofers with recessed AC inlets.
Direction-Controlled Conductors
All drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from where it will cause distortion. A fundamental aspect of AudioQuests multifaceted Noise-Dissipation technology, Direction-Controlled Conductors ensure induced noise is dissipated and drained properly.
Versatile Enhancement
The AudioQuest Monsoon power cable unlocks high-performance audio and video setups at home. Designed to upgrade a wide range of audio/video components, whether constant-current (such as source components: streamers, media players, TVs, etc.) or variable-current (amplifiers, powered speakers, powered subwoofers), Monsoon optimizes performance, providing a significant lifestyle upgrade for those who value quality entertainment.

NRG-Z3 cables use direction-controlled Perfect-Surface Copper strands in a 7-strand Semi-Solid Concentric conductor arrangement in which strands are packed more tightly and never change position within the bundle. This construction significantly reduces strand interaction distortion. The extremely pure and smooth-surface PSC conductors minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries which exist in any metal conductor.
