Unlike common banana plugs comprising multiple pieces of inexpensive metals such as brass, AudioQuest’s 507 Banana plugs are fabricated from a single solid piece of high-purity Purple Copper. This is then treated to a Hanging Silver process in which the part is directly plated with high-purity silver, incorporating no sound-damaging intermediary layer. Taking performance further, AudioQuest’s Cold-Welded connection avoids the use of sound-damaging solder. AudioQuest’s Multi-Tool is included with every package of 507 Bananas. The Allen-wrench end allows secure tightening (Cold-Welding) of the electrical connection while the Phillips-head end allows tightening of the strain-relief screw.
