A: I was in the same situation. I downloaded the August app. and just followed their instructions. I did however have to contact the previous homeowners to have them delete their account associated with that lock or it won't let you program.
A: This lock is compatible with Alexa and Google Home. I have not used it with Alexa but I have with Google Home many years ago. There was a two part system of unlocking, Asking for the lock to unlock and also providing a PIN. You can also ask Alexa if the front door is locked and to lock the door. These answers are for the Wi-Fi smart lock. If you get the Smart Lock Pro you will also need a Connect bridge in order to use Alexa.

A: Hello, Yes, as long as Wi-Fi is enabled on your August Wi-Fi Smart Lock and you have setup the Airbnb integration in the August app then the app will automatically generate Entry Codes and send them to the Guest with no charge. Q: Can I purchase the lock alone (no keypad)?
A: Yes you can purchase a lock alone or as a bundle with keypad.
Q: Does it integrate with Simplisafe?
A: I thought it worked with Simplisafe it says it does on their web site
Q: Can the whole lock assembly be placed on a out side iron security door (gate)?
A: No. The front plate which covers the batteries is held on with a magnet. The first rain would destroy it.
