I had bought this movie on bluray this makes the fourth time. They didn’t work at all but it wasn’t from BB, I’ve gotten the others at second hand stores. So I took the fourth chance on BB and lucky it works and it’s beautiful on bluray picture is so clear.

This movie keeps you on the edge of your chair the entire run time. It is a great detective film where you don't know who is in charge of the hunt for the crook. It leaves you with a great feeling like a fun roller coaster ride.

Most people look at this film as just a way to see certain shots of Sharon Stone. (I think you know what I mean Lol).. But it is actually a really good suspense thriller that is well written and nicely directed. The music throughout the film also adds nicely to the suspense..

Always loved this movie. Very well put together with many twists and turns. Michael Douglas never fails to deliver and. Jeanne Tripplehorn did a great job in her role.

A classic thriller restored to blu-ray quality. Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone play off each other in as Sharon has her break-out role. The extras are great to help bring the movie full cycle and provides the director insight.

Great Movie, strong storyline with a lot of skin. It does make you think. It’s Basic Instinct. What more needs to be said? It has a strong group of actors.

If you are a fan of the movie and you loved it in theater you will love this release. It's a great quality disc, the picture is great, it looks amazing in 1080p. I've always liked this movie (it's the director's cut too!) and I've enjoyed every minute of it watching it on our big screen HDTV. You won't be dissapointed.

This in-your-face thriller is probably the best guilty pleasure film ever made! A volatile police detective (Michael Douglas) becomes involved (to say the least) with a novelist (Sharon Stone) who's the number one suspect in the murder of her lover. No, this is not as dramatically satisfying as other Paul Verhoeven works like Robocop and Total Recall, but the two leads give it plenty of energy. If this film is trash, it's the most watchable trash there is.

"Every once in a while, a film comes along that so pushes the envelope of what is permissible to say and show on-screen that it changes the rules for all that follow it. Such cinematic touchstones don't have to be particularly good, but they do have to capture the cultural zeitgeist in such a way that our perception of the film becomes inseparable from its attendant controversy." This is such a film, and the transfer is great. fans of the movie will not be disappointed.
