They are great headphones, I am more of a earphone type of person but they still give me the satisfaction that I require for headphones to provide. The battery life does say what they are. I love the quality that beats Solo 3 was mainly because I have heard that they're good so I thought, well broke anyway let's go for the expensive ones. But my cons for it are they are very docile, easily broken if handled wrong.

I owned the previous model the Wired Solo 2 but Solo3 is better with High Quality Output Sound and Long Lasting Battery Life... 40 hours of battery life after a single charge or 3 hours after a 5 min. charge!!! Chip W1 is amazing, by other hand it looks to be made of great lasting material

I just replaced my old Solo 2s with these after they hade broken. I love the feel that these have when I wear them. They are honestly rather pricey for what they are, but they're not AirPods. I still recommend them highly.

Super convenient pairing. Stays paired to all devices so all I have to do is select the sound output on the device to connect to the headphones. Only have to charge them once a month. The 40 hour battery life is more like 50. I am thoroughly pleased.

Great battery life & better balanced sound from previous models . Lightweight Matte Black is a nice touch but material feels a little flimsy. ***Mic is Terrible for phone calls*** No replaceable earpads

I was contemplating on purchasing these because of reviews I’ve seen on the internet. I watched dozens of review videos on YouTube to determine whether or not I should buy them. Finally made my purchase online and picked it up from my local Best Buy. I’m sooooo glad I made this decision!!!! I see a lot of people talk about how Beats products have too much bass, but honestly these are a huge step-up from the originally Beats that were made by Monster Cable. Highs, Mids, & Lows are all clear in my opinion. If you listen to Hip Hop or EDM you’ll definitely love these headphones. If you’re an Apple user like I am, these headphones are a plus! While Bluetooth is turned on along with your Beats headphones, they automatically when you hold them close to each other. No lie, I left my phone in the house and walked to the corner store with no drop outs. CLUTCH!!!! Love the build. Even though the majority is plastic, it feels like a “rich plastic”. The on-ear isn’t a huge issue for me as it is for other. My ears don’t hurt but they usually sweat after a half hour or so. Again, this isn’t a big issue for me. I also like that even when the Bluetooth dies, you can still use the headphones with the cord. I just bought this so I can’t say too much about the battery life, but I’m pretty sure it lives up to the 40 hour play. Hope this helps! I'm somewhat of a headphone connoisseur. I own a staggering six pair of premium-quality Bluetooth headphones that I've purchased since 2014, all of them supporting at least Bluetooth 4.0. So when I give a recommendation stating that I'm now using a pair of Bluetooth headphones exclusively and the rest are gathering dust, that has to mean something. First of all, let me get this out of the way: I use Bluetooth headphones excessively and for a variety of purposes. I am wearing them for about 8 to 10 hours per day on weekdays, and 12 to 16 hours on weekends. I detached myself permanently from headphone wires in about 2012 and have been looking for better and better headphones ever since. The main things I look for in a pair of Bluetooth headphones are: portability; durability; ease of pairing to all my devices and switching between devices; signal strength and reliability over moderate distances; and of course, audio quality. I also care about the little quality of life things, like the absence of loud and irritating "pop" noises when the headphones switch from actively playing audio to standby mode, and the ability for the headphones to drown out at least some of the background noise for activities like public transportation commuting and trying to work in a busy office. In almost all categories, the Beats Solo3 Wireless are as good or better than the competition, even though they only cost half as much as I usually pay for high-end Bluetooth headphones (I usually pay around $500). Most of what makes these headphones amazing originates from their Apple W1 Bluetooth chipset. This chip has an incredible ability to instantly and effortlessly pair between my different Apple and non-Apple devices, and switching between them is easier than it is with any other pair of Bluetooth headphones I've ever owned. This is insanely important for me, because I use them with my iPhone for phone calls, my Macbook Pro and Alienware laptop for listening to music and gaming, my iPad for watching videos, and my desktop's Bluetooth receiver for gaming. I think I switch between Bluetooth devices about 6 times a day, and I have to constantly fight and struggle and re-pair and unpair, etc. sometimes for minutes at a time to switch devices with any other pair of headphones.... except for these special headphones. Bluetooth is supposed to be an open standard where all the vendors participate and can get equal access to making their headphones compatible with computing devices like phones, tablets and computers. But in reality, it appears that Apple and Beats have cornered the market on producing headphones that are maximally compatible, reliable, and easy to pair and switch around. And I say that as someone who extensively uses my Beats headphones with NON-Apple devices, such as Windows PCs! I don't know how to put it differently: these are simply awesome. The audio quality is fine; I think the audio quality isn't noticeably worse than my $500 Beoplay headphones. And while there's no Active Noise Cancelling (which I DO appreciate on my Beoplay pair), I've learned to live without it: I'm slightly more aware of my environment without ANC, which can actually be a good thing, and the passive canceling on these is pretty good for those annoyingly loud noises in the environment, most of the time. Oh, and as far as range and dropouts? I often leave my iDevices or PCs sitting on my desk and move across the hallway, into the bathroom while listening to a podcast or video, and I've never once heard a single dropout with any of my devices. I can't claim the same flawless experience with competition from Beoplay or Sennheiser or Meelectronics. I really can't praise these headphones enough. The only thing I would like to see done differently in a subsequent release would be a sturdier, less plastic, more premium materials type design, maybe some of that magnesium alloy they use to build the sturdy chassis of ThinkPads. Or maybe the aluminum that they use to build iPhones. That would be awesome. I feel like I have to treat my Beats very gently or they're liable to fall apart. So durability is definitely a concern long-term. But as long as they last, I'll definitely enjoy the electronic internals of these headphones being as close to perfection as I've ever seen in a pair of wireless headphones that is compatible with a wide array of devices. Oh, and it helps that the battery life is basically the best on the market for any kind of Bluetooth headphones based on my research. Other vendors have tied Beats in expected battery life, but none have exceeded them by any significant margin. So if you don't like having to charge your headphones daily, these are one of maybe 3 or 4 different models of headphones that you can buy today with that kind of insane battery life. Just a short couple of years ago, I had a perception of Beats as a brand that was completely out of touch with what consumers wanted, offering anemically low battery life around 8 hours, with out of date Bluetooth protocol support, poor codec support, and limited compatibility. This product is the polar opposite of that in every way, and I couldn't possibly be happier. My quality of life is a little bit better each and every day because of this product, and I like them so much that I bought a second pair for use exclusively at work, so I don't have to risk damaging my Beats in transit.

Headphones are a great product but didn’t realize that Apple had bought out beats and that they have changed the product to work with their devices.

I tried a silver pair and returned it for lack of bass end, but decided to try again. I think the silver was a bad set. I'm super disappointed these don't have a Best Buy protection plan available. These have a really good sound that really seems to kick in at about 1/2 volume on an iPhone, which seems typical for larger headphones. I'm still disappointed in the fit though. I wanted a great over ear set so I wouldn't have to fight with ear buds falling out when mowing the lawn, running, or lifting in the gym. I have a fairly large head (trucker caps almost run out of notches on the back) and it's a bit loose. I can wear them without extending the ears at all, which makes me really hesitant to recommend this to youngsters or to women. I don't know who these were made for with such atrociously large heads... This really comes into play when I start to bend over or when I get sweaty. The things start to slide back when down for bench press. They do fairly well while running. Mowing the lawn is great until I get sweaty. The padded material gets slick with sweat and fell off while mowing the lawn. The battery really is amazing. I've used it for about a month with mowing the lawn, running, and gym workouts with the initial factory charge.

Bought these a few month ago and I must say I'm extremely impressed and find them a great value especially for those who have Apple Music since they come with 3 free months. Also the open box makes the value unbeatable imo. These headphones are for people who want a great (not best) quality sound, fantastic fit and finish, best looks in class with lots of comfort. Who these aren't ideal for: those who want extremely crisp and neutral sounds. But those people should be buying over ear open backs anyways for A lot more. Sound: surprisingly good better than I expected coming from more neutral headphones like jaybird x2s and klipsh I wasn the sure how I'd feel about the extra lows. I got used to them pretty quick but the iphones built in EQ easily makes up for any adjustments I need when listening to say ed Sheran ect. I find non hip hop listeners are impressed with sound quality when the EQ is set to flat or other lower base options. So when choosing the appropriate setting the sound will always be fantastic. Comfort: 4/5. Honestly on ear are a bit uncomfortable. Pads are soft and very high quality but the pressure on my ears isn't my favorite for 2 hour sessions but easily manageable. If I was gonna regularly have headphones on that long I'd buy over ear if style wasn't a big deal. Looks : 5/5 best looking period 5 min of charging when it's dead is 3 hours playback which is great. Signal is very strong and never a problem. Honestly I think these headphones deserve perfect scores. They are perfect for people who want stylish, non combursome, great funcuationality with very good all around sound especially with bass heavy genres. Remember the bass can easily be turned down in your iPhone music settings which I do if I'm listening to indie ect.

This is the first and only set of Beats cans with good sound (all prior Beats cans are far too overdriven, IMO), but also the first set of wireless cans with PHENOMENAL battery life and zero connectivity issues. 40 hour battery life is no exaggeration, and the amount of distance you can go from your source is incredible with no chop or stutter. As on-ear headphones go, these are also very comfortable cans, albeit with the usual caveats of more sound leakage versus quality over-ear cans. Again, the Beats sound is not for everyone, but is particularly well-tuned to modern music, hip hop, electronica, and most things produced in the 90's or later. It's not audiophile best quality sound, but it is very good sound, witj great midrange, only slightly overdriven lows, and only slightly muted highs (classical music listeners will probably not be pleased, but most other listening is great). The headphones also fit snug and comfortably during active workouts without being jostled around or coming off your head, which is a big plus. Overall, these are great cans for around $200ish, but don't pay $299 MSRP, because they're commonly found cheaper and they aren't quite $299 caliber sound.

I had used Boss various models, and found they all lacked that crispy bass Solo3 had. With the 40 hrs battery time, I rarely had to worry about to recharge it. I wore it on the train to work, or at home working on my PC, the reception of of the phone to my iPhone is much better than my sports Blue Tooth earphone. I loved all sorts of music, and it played back so well on classical, pop, new age, rock and drums and piano all alike. Having looking at many other options, I found this is the best one I have ever had for over 20 years. I have a big head, and it fits me well. The construction is flawless. Best of the all, the music is so real, crispy, rich on bass, and adaptive to all sorts of music styles.
