It's hard to get too excited about a plain vanilla wireless charger--especially one that doesn't necessarily push the envelop in either styling or charging features. That said, this charger from Belkin does all it's supposed to with aplomb with a few extra goodies thrown into the mix. It features a reasonably quick charging rate for a 5W unit; it generates no uncomfortable temperatures during use; the package includes a 4-foot cable and an AC adapter; and it actually has some GREAT design flourishes that elevate it (even if only slightly) above the sea of similar-looking charging coasters/pucks on the market today. I've got it pictured below underneath my iPhone X. You can see by how little of the assembly is hanging out from below either side of the phone that the charger itself isn't too big so it won't take up a lot of real estate on your desk or shelf when it's not in use. The smaller(ish) size also makes this unit more travel-friendly than some competing units sized like a small saucer or salad plate. The charging status light is a mercifully small white pinhole LED indicator, making it what I affectionately refer to as "sleep-friendly"; my review photo with the phone also shows the charging status LED lit up over on the right-hand side. Yeah, I guess it's possible that with such a small and somewhat dim LED you might cover it up with a larger phone (but then your phone wouldn't indicate the charge had begun, either) and miss whether it was actually doing its job at the time, but with so many chargers featuring one or more bright status LEDs on the top, side, or edges (I have one where the entire bottom glows blue), it's nice to have one I can place on my nightstand and not have to cover up the LED with black tape, a washcloth, or otherwise block the light so I can get to sleep. As for style points--this one doesn't really beg for your attention. The face isn't adorned with any ornamentation or loud/colored branding--the small, subtle, recessed Belkin man logo is standing above equally small and understated "belkin" lettering...that's all you're going to see when your phone isn't sitting there charging. If you need something unassuming and professional-looking, this charger is a solid choice. Two other product design elements deserve quick mention. One...quite usefully, the top and bottom surfaces of the charger feature a soft-touch rubber ring that serves double duty--it protects your desk/shelf or phone from any hard surfaces or sharp edges that might produce scratches, and it helps keep the charger and phone in place with its non-skid composition. Two, the underside of the charger has a deeply recessed cutout to accommodate the entire head of the micro USB charging cable--this effectively makes the entire charger itself part of the strain relief for the small (and often delicate) micro-USB connector. Those of you with well-used or often-repositioned micro USB devices know how often those connectors start to fail over time, ultimately requiring you finesse the cable into place to get a successful connection...I can't honestly see that happening to this unit even if you bump it and move it around a lot because the entire shell of the USB head is still held firmly in place underneath the charger. It's a small consideration to be sure, but Belkin typically pays attention to little details like that, and it usually ends up making their products pretty bullet-proof and long-lived. About the only criticisms I can think of are minor. For one, the charging cable is only 4 feet long...so long as you have an outlet or open USB charging port handy within that distance, you're golden. Second, the AC-to-USB adapter that ships in the box is a bit on the wide side--not like a huge transformer brick for a laptop or anything like that, but it's just wide enough that if you're using an outlet strip where the sockets are lined up next to each other horizontally, it might eat into and block part of the next outlet. Again, these are minor quibbles that don't really ruin an otherwise outstanding product. Overall, this is a thoughtfully designed piece of hardware that does its job very well, and in a way that doesn't draw attention to the fact that it's doing so...definitely recommended.

The Belkin Boost Up charging pad proved a hit at my party this weekend. Placed strategically on the coffee table, guests "fought" for a chance to place their phones on it to get a little more charge! I'll admit that every time I glanced over at it - somebody was using it. Not all of the guests knew if it would work with their phone, so they just set their phone on the pad and if it started charging, they were in business! Super simple to setup - just plug it in really. Place it in a convenient location - like an end or coffee table or a night stand. The kids like it next to the couch so they can be near their phone and charging it up as they watch TV. I have a metal piece in my case to use the magnetic car mounts, but it is not problem for me to slip the case off and set it right on the pad. If I forget and leave it in there, the Belkin Boost Up detects a foreign object and does not engage charging. Overall - super product! Does not get hot, works with many phones and I could see myself picking up 4-5 of these to be placed strategically around the house. It is small enough to travel with - just don't know if I'll do that often. Thanks Belkin!

The Belkin BOOST UP 5W Qi Certified Wireless Charging Pad is easy to use, charges dependably & has a small footprint, so it does not take up much night stand or desk space. I use it on the latest iPhone XS Max and it charges this phone through the Apple Silicon Case without fail. Simply sit the phone on the Wireless Charging Pad and the phone beeps & the charging light on the phone confirms that it is charging. There is a pencil size green charging light on the Pad that glows when the phone is charging, as well. The small size of this green LED is ideal, as it is not too bright to keep you awake at night. You can block the green LED completely, if desired, by rotating the phone on the pad so it blocks the green light. The Charging Pad includes a black USB wall adaptor & a 4' USB cable that plugs into the pad. CONCLUSION: This Belkin Charging Pad is an outstanding value & is a highly dependable appliance. It earned a 5-Star Rating.

For the past, 6 or so years, I’ve only purchased phones with wireless charging capabilities. From Anker, to Tylt, Samsung and now Belkin. The only place I run a fast charger is at work, which means I’m used to a ‘standard’ charge at home. This is one of those ‘standard’ chargers. This charger came with a sturdy cable and wall adapter. Many of the ‘so cheap/best ever’ chargers you’ll see on Amazon don’t include the wall adapter. Unlike those, you don’t have to read any fine print here, it's all included. The charger has a hefty footprint, about 4in in circumference which gives you a good chance on landing your phone on the charger on the first shot. I’ve used this with the Google Nexus 5 & 6, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+; all of those phones had various thicknesses of cases on them. In the time I've had it, I've never had a blip of inconsistent charge; I plop the phone on the charger and rarely have to adjust - well, unless I’ve just really gone off-center. I don’t have any Otterbox / thick protective cases, so I can’t tell you if it works through those. Again, this isn’t a fast charger - you won’t see “fast charging” pop up on your screen so if you’re in a rush for a charge, plug in a cable. For a traditional wireless charger, 5 Stars. For a "fast" charger, this isn't the product for you.

Super duper easy to use and super duper convenient to have on hand. Love being able to set my iPhone XR down to charge without hunting for a cable to stick into the port on the bottom. I was so glad to see that this charging pad can charge my iPhone with the Speck candyshell grip case. Charges perfectly fine and makes my life easy. I noticed that this tends to take about the same time to charge as my regular Apple iPhone charger. Also, one downside I noticed is that my phone gets pretty warm while charging on this pad. This concerns me a bit for long term battery life on my 3 month old phone. I don't notice the phone warming up when I use the cable to charge the phone. Overall, it's a great device to be able to set the phone down and leave it to charge. It comes in handy to leave on my desk or nightstand table. Will surely make owners lives easier to be able to set your phone down on the charger and still use it while charging.

This is a very basic wireless charger. Everything about it just looks like a cheap knock-off version of a wireless charger, with its sharp edge and all black plastic design. However, it is Qi certified, does it’s job and comes with a 2 year warranty. It does charge through a decent sized case and the rubber grip ring keeps the phone from easily sliding off. The biggest key here is to check what is the best wattage for your device. This model, 5 Watts, is really meant for smaller and older devices that can use wireless charging. New iPhone devices can use 7.5W and Samsung devices can use 9W. If you use this 5W device on a device like the Samsung Note 9, it will take about 4 hours for a full charge.

Included in the box is the charging pad, A/C wall adapter, and a USB to micro USB cable. --PROS— The convenience of being able to charge a device without having to connect it to a cable. Cable simplification. More and more devices are Qi wireless charger capable, so this charger will work with many of the latest Apple and Android phones. Reduces wear and tear on the device port. --CONS— Not as fast as direct cable charging. Cases that are too thick can block the wireless charge. Make sure the case on your phone is rated as compatible with wireless charging. --BOTTOM LINE— I am using this wireless charger with a Google Pixel 3 phone. It is very convenient to use and charges reliably. If you are not in a hurry to get a full charge there are benefits to using this wireless charger. It is a perfect place to store you phone when you are not using it, so it can always be charging. It can also be used by anyone that has a Qi certified device. But if you are in a hurry to get out the door and need to charge your device fast, then you will need to use a direct cable.

Great wireless charger. Its easy to plug in (comes with its own adapter) and you can charge any device compatible with the Qi standard. I'm currently charging my LG G7 and it does well. Has a small Led light on one side to indicate the status. Highly recommend it to anyone with any Qi enabled device, specially smartphones. Wireless charging will never charge as fast as turbo chargers, however is very convenient and I use it to charge my phone overnight. Just placing it on top and done. No plugging and un plugging mess with cables. Highly recommend it!

Belkin is one of the best company for making peripherals and accessories. this Qi certified wireless charger works great with no issue. the rubber circle on top to prevent smartphone from slipping off is good. please note: if you have a device that equipped with fast charge 10 watt then this is not your choice as it would take long time to get your device fully charged because of its low watt that provides slow charge. I have an iPhone X Max that supports 7.5 watt and worked fine with it. I gave 4 stars only because if quality of this charger looks cheap as I used to see very high quality from Belkin but for its price point is acceptable since it does the job perfectly!

Belkin Qi 5W Charging Pad…. Yeah. You read that correctly. Having a charging pad is a wonderful way to reduce potential problems. I was advised by an iPhone repairman that a leading cause of charging problems is that port at the bottom of the phone, which collects lint from your pocket. We then compact that lint and dirt tightly by inserting the lightning connector multiple times a day, eventually preventing a reliable connection. That can’t happen with a charging pad. The Belkin Pad worked reliably for me, with my iPhone XR, always bring me to full charge without me having to fuss with a cable any special effort to align the phone. It probably doesn’t improve upon the cable charging and it’s not fancy, but the technology is still cool. Most importantly, it isn’t likely to ever cause a problem. Now I need one for my wife. Recommended.

---SETUP--- The setup for the Belkin wireless charger is simple. All you have to do is connect the micro USB cable to the charger and the USB to a port the included wall adapter port for it to get power. A light will indicate that it is functioning. ---FEATURES--- The key feature of this charger is that it will allow you to charge your Qi enabled phones wirelessly and fast with up to 5W of power. It has anti-slip rubber to prevent it from moving when placing the phone down. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of this charger is adequate. It will charge your Qi enabled phone at about a 50% slower rate than a direct cable but it is perfect for overnight chargers or for you to leave it on your desk while you work. The slow rate of charge is not a fault of the device, it’s the current limitations of Qi technology. Your phone will get hotter than normal, but that is expected. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product meets my expectations. As an educator, I teach expository articles. One article my students and I read was on Qi tech. Currently, there are limitations in terms of distance from device to charging pad and charge rate. Based on what I have read, the charger functions as expected. I use a phone case that doubles as a wallet that holds 3 debit/ID cards. With that case, the Qi charger identifies that the phone is on the base, but it won’t charge because it is too thick. If I leave the flap that guards my debit/ID cards open, it will charge my phone, but that’s not the ideal way of using it. By fully removing the case, I am able to have the phone charge with no problems. The charger will identify if something is in the way of charging your phone by lighting up an LED in orange. The LED, though, is not intrusive when sleeping at night. ---VALUE--- The price for the charger in terms of value is great if you want to take advantage of your Qi enabled device. It does make the area where you charge your phone look much neater because there is less cable clutter. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for people who want to hide their charging cable and have a cleaner looking area or those who want to use this product in an area that won’t require for their device to charge at a fast pace.

This Belkin wireless charger is a good little charger for the money. It’s not the nicest wireless charger I’ve ever used but it gets the job done. It has a light to indicate that it’s charging your device. Unfortunately, it doesn’t charge an Apple Watch if you have that; which I didn’t necessarily need it to our expect it to. Interestingly, the only thing I really have to complain about is the weight. It’s extremely lightweight so it’s prone to being moved around by the power cord fairly easily. You can pick up your phone and then go to set it back down to find the charger has moved on you. Not a huge deal but sometimes you have to feel for it on your nightstand or in low light. That being said, I’ll use it for a travel charger since it’s so lightweight. I suspect it’ll fulfill that type of role quite well.

Wow, The ease of use in this charger and just setting your phone on it is really cool. Those days of plugging and unplugging the phone from the charger and cord and I love it. Plug up this item set it on your nightstand at your phone on top of it and it charges with no issues. It even charges right through my Tech21 case, no issues at all. For the price that I got this bye it again in a heartbeat!

This is a wonderful charger and the price is outstanding. Very easy hook up and fast charging with a light to let you know that your phone is in the correct position. Highly recommend!

The charges works quite well. I am so glad I got it and never have to "plug" my iPhone again. The only reason I do not give the 5 stars is because the charger should have probably been designed to keep the phone 90 degrees vs. 180 degrees. I saw later on other wireless chargers where you could watch a video on your phone while charging. Anyways. It does its job and is very easy to carry with you.

Easy setup, price was right. Works great. Compares equally to the similar apple product.

Slow charging. Took my Samsung S10 at least 3 hrs to charge from 54 percent. Wish it was faster, but that's what I paid a low price for. It works fine. I have an otterbox medium thick style case and It doesn't effect charge time. The cord is a decent length, wish it was longer. And it doesn't come with a wall plug! Only has a USB cord attached. So I'm borrowing a wall plug from a different device.
