I purchased a Sony TV while there was a $50 rewards certificate offer. It took about a month to the $50 rewards certificate was issued and I subsequently used it towards an open-box (Belkin - BOOST↑CHARGE Pro Wireless Power Bank 10K) and paid the difference on my credit card. However, a few days after receiving the item I noticed it was 5k version with less chance capacity. I then returned it to my local Best Buy store and explained the issue hoping for an exchange but ultimately being issued a refund. However, I only received the difference of $19.29 and not the $50 rebate certificate I also used. To this day it still get the run around and don’t know if/when I will get it back. First I was told 7 days after the return, called back after that period I was told it’s actually 15 days after the return I will get the $50 rebate back. Then they told it’s actually 15 business days. Now I’m told it’s 45 days and they will also escalate the issue. Meanwhile, the customer service representative are all based in India and I feel like they are saying anything to get me off the phone. Anyways, as of right now I have no plans to purchase anything else from Best Buy and would recommend never to purchase anything open box
