Bought this so my wife could work off of 2 monitors while putting her laptop in clamshell mode. I asked her what she thought about it and she said "honestly I haven't thought about it all." If she had issues with it it would be frustrating her.

It works great as a docking station, just without a power source. It runs a little warm, but it does the job. Also, there is a sticker it ships with alerting you to download silicon motion drivers before using it. That could be a problem for anyone who needs approval from the “powers that be” before installing the drivers.

Gets the job done!

Bought this so my wife could work off of 2 monitors while putting her laptop in clamshell mode. I asked her what she thought about it and she said "honestly I haven't thought about it all." If she had issues with it it would be frustrating her.

It works great as a docking station, just without a power source. It runs a little warm, but it does the job. Also, there is a sticker it ships with alerting you to download silicon motion drivers before using it. That could be a problem for anyone who needs approval from the “powers that be” before installing the drivers.

Very handy because of all of the ports however, I got this for when I am not at home or traveling and it’s a little bit too bulky for my taste. But if you’ve got a desk to yourself in space, it’s a good move.

Very handy because of all of the ports however, I got this for when I am not at home or traveling and it’s a little bit too bulky for my taste. But if you’ve got a desk to yourself in space, it’s a good move.
