Handy little dongle
Does the job pretty well, havent had any issues with charging or connecting audio. Also it allows you to use either port to charge or listen.

Unusual use, sort of works.
I use this to split a smartphone's USB connection so that I can have my Sony Zv-e1 camera connected along with a battery for power. On my pixel 7 Pro it works fine, and it also works okay on my OnePlus 9 Pro. But last time I tried it, it didn't seem to let the camera connect on my pixel 8 Pro.

Does not work with external hard drive
I bought this because one of the USB-C ports on my MacBook Pro is dead. Though it does power my laptop and EHD at the same time, the power is not sufficient for the EHD (WD 1TB) to function properly. It starts clicking and is no longer recognized by the computer halfway through back up.
