I use this to split a smartphone's USB connection so that I can have my Sony Zv-e1 camera connected along with a battery for power. On my pixel 7 Pro it works fine, and it also works okay on my OnePlus 9 Pro. But last time I tried it, it didn't seem to let the camera connect on my pixel 8 Pro.

I bought this because one of the USB-C ports on my MacBook Pro is dead. Though it does power my laptop and EHD at the same time, the power is not sufficient for the EHD (WD 1TB) to function properly. It starts clicking and is no longer recognized by the computer halfway through back up.

Hi mayqueen,
We can isolate the setback by using another compatible device to see if the same thing happens. Make sure that the phone is equipped with the latest OS as well. Please reach out to our phone support so they can check the unit for you and discuss your options. Our hotlines are listed here: https://www.belkin.com/us/support-article?articleNum=55022.

One of the things that can be so frustrating when you are using an electronic device is lack of ports. Docks are being made now to help solve this problem for people using tablets, but what about mobile phones? This is the reason Belkin has developed the USB-C Audio + Charge Adapter — so that people can use their mobile phones alongside their wired headphones while the phone is being charged at the same time. The box is a simple Belkin-style retail package. The front of the box has a picture of the adapter along with some printed details of the product. The back of the box has a lot of fine print listed and points out that the adapter supports pass-through charging up to 60W. Since this adapter is really designed for mobile devices, I was surprised to find that it could potentially charge my 2016 13-inch MacBook Pro. Once I opened the box I found the adapter housed inside a cardboard inset in the box. Normally I’m a little critical of packaging if it seems to be excessive, but in the case, I don’t have a good suggestion on what else could be used. In addition to the cable, the package includes a regulatory statement, which I think could be provided electronically on Belkin’s website rather than printing it out. The adapter is an appropriate size. It’s 5.5. inches long so it’s quite easily pocket-sized. With it being so compact there is no reason to leave it at home when you go to work remotely. I like that Belkin actually made this a cable and not just a flat-fitting hub because it gives users flexibility on how and where they charge rather than being restricted to a rigid accessory. The USB-C Audio + Charge Adapter does its job well. I tested it by plugging it into my 11-inch iPad Pro. At first, it stated that the iPad was ‘not charging.’ I assessed my connections and finally discovered that the USB-C to USB-A cable I was using was the problem. I pulled out my USB-C to USB-C cable from Apple and used it to connect the adapter to a wall charger. The iPad began charging immediately. After 48 minutes of charging, the iPad gained 33% battery life for a charging rate of 0.69% per minute. I was able to also use the adapter to connect a set of USB-C headphones to the iPad although I must admit that I feel like wired headphones are being phased out for mobile devices since most mobile devices are missing a headphone jack. Still, I think this adapter is a great option for people who have those wired headphones that they want to use. The USB-C Audio + Charge Adapter is a good accessory for users of USB-C devices. It’s compact and functions well. I do wonder how long adapters like this will continue to be developed since wireless connections for charging and listening devices are becoming more and more common-place these days.

If you need a C-connection for your phone to media output this device is handy because you can charge and connect to media at the same time. I have an android but they have these for iPhones and since the newer versions don't have headphone jacks I think this device would be even more useful in those cases. My car connects for music via blue tooth but my older factory radio did need the connector. That meant I could either charge the phone OR listen to music but not both. This product solves that. I don't notice any slowing of the charging speed with the splitter. Good product if you need it.

Been using this adapter for a few days now so I thought I share my thoughts on it. The adapter is working great. I've noticed that with the charging plug I have that supports fast charging, my Note 10+ that I'm using this with will fast charge. I did notice that while using it and having too many apps open that charging dropped to slow charging. Closing apps seemed to alleviate the issue. I will be testing the charging ability further once I have the mount for my car to put my Tab S6 in and use. As for audio, no issues here. It sounds just as good as if I was connecting just the Type-C to Aux adapter. One thing I did notice was when I was turning my car off and if I opened the door before disconnecting my phone, there would be a pop from the speakers. This happened before when I'd use just the Type-C to Aux if I disconnected the phone before opening my car door. Instead it now happens without any power to the device and with stereo powered off. My advice is to disconnect your adapter before opening your door or powering off the car. Doing this it's not popped once. If you need a cheaper adapter but of good quality then this will fit the bill. There's also indicators on the end where it splits to show which is for charging and which is for Audio so there's no confusion.

I never seem to have enough connectors and with the limit of only the one at the bottom of my phone I found myself always having to chose what to plug in. I am so thankful Bolkin made a product like this, it has made my life a ton easier! I am no longer having to worry about which device to plug into my phone with this pass-through option. The charging is very fast, even when I have a speaker or another component connected using the USB-C port. Its great to be able to connect speakers to it. I also found I was able to use my flash drive to act as an additional storage. However it may have been a one-off and do not recommend trying it because it was not intended for that use. Overall its a great product and feel justified for the price point (as of July 2020). With it being compact and Lightweight I do not mind carrying it with me wherever I go!

With many newer devices resorting to a singular USB-C port it is impossible to charge your device and use a USB-C audio headset at the same time without an adapter. This USB-C Audio + Charge Adapter allows that. Even though it supports up to 60W chargers, it will not provide that full power to the device, even with nothing else actually attached to it. Though not drastically different in times, it is noticeable when using the charger directly that you get a shorter charge time than through the adapter. Even though this is listed as audio + charger and shows labels for headphones and power, it is interchangeable and will work with other USB-C devices.

I use a Tab S6 and a Pixel Slate. Both of them have a USB-C pot but does not have headphone jack. So if I wanted to keep it plugged for charging while watching and wanting to use my wired headphones, this adapter would be needed. This Belkin Connect ‘46 offers the solution instead of going out and dropping more money for a wireless headset. It’s clearly marked for which port is for which, and the best part is that the adapter does not get warm when in use. I’ve used other adapters in the past and they’ve always gotten warm. I’m glad that this doesn’t. Awesome accessory to have, I believe a must for those with devices that have a USB-C port.

That perfect work around when you have a new pjone and an old car without blutooth. I use it in my work van that only has radio and an aux option. I use an auxillary cord and can now listen to music and charge my phone.

This only worked a short time. I'm not sure what was wrong, but I didn't exchange because I thought I would be back and forth replacing it constantly.
