Seems to work as my computer tells me if it been un plugged and is not being back up. I have not needed to test it to see how well the back up is but it should work. It is small easy to use.

WIFI really sucked on this 2023 macbook pro m1. Apple should have a built in ethernet port. My DL speed thru ookla was 104-110mps & UL was 10-11mps. After connecting this USB-C type C to 2.5GB Ethernet adapter my speed went to 370mps DL & 11mps UL. My 2012 mac bookpro with the built in Ethernet port DL speed was 360mps & 10-11mps UL. I am real happy with this purchase. My ISP is a 300mps service. One day after picking this adapter up from the store it went on sale. RATS!

Effectively raised my connection speed to 2.5 Gb on my new 5 Gb service, (overkill). The Ethernet port on my PC was 1 Gb, but by using this adapter, I raised my LAN connection to 2.5 Gb utilizing an open USB-C 3.0 port.
