This was a gift for my best friend. I am slowly turning all her kitchen appliances pink.

The title says it all. I'm sure that 99% of the population doesn't pay attention about the evenness of their toast or how their toaster performs, but I remodeled my kitched last year and found myself needing a new toaster that wasn't a complete eyesore. That was the entrance to a rabbit-hole. When you're given a toaster as a wedding gift, you don't think anything about toast, but when if you're a middle aged adult replacing a perfectly working toaster because your wife insists that the toaster has to look nice, then the task hits differently (at least for me). I'll spare you the boring details, but the short version is this: This toaster is AMAZING (if a toaster can be amazing). It works like it should, doesn't have stupid technology crammed inside of it, and the best part is that you will have the most consistantly and evenly toasted bread or bagles (front and back). Like any toaster, it will take a you a few runs to guage what you like on the dial, but trust me when I say that anything past 3 on the dial starts getting into crunchy... 3 is the maximum for me (and I like a good toast on my bread). My wife and kids are more like a 2 - 2.5 for most things.
