I purchased this cable to transfer video from a very old Hi8 camcorder. This S-Video cable was a drastic improvement over the old yellow RCA connector...just remember that this cable will only carry the VIDEO...no audio! I'm very satisfied with the price and quality of this hardware

Wonderful picture, would not think it would make that much of a picture difference, but the picture is so much brighter and clear!! Easy to install and quick shipping. Best Buy has it all and we support brick and mortar stores. Should have bought the cables sooner. We have an old tv set and old DVD/VHS unit and the picture quality looks 1080! The unit didn’t have an open HDMI port. These cables work great!!!!!Don’t wait, just get cables. Thank you Best Buy. Didn’t realize we weren’t getting the full picture!!!

I bought this for my laserdisc player and it worked great with my flat screen TV. I was skeptical at first since this is not gold plated but it did the job well. I recommend this for vintage electronics with S-Video out puts.
