Worth all the buzz it gets

This vast album is a special surprise that defies easy classification. There are many tracks that one might call folksy-country-roots style music, but that wouldn't be doing them justice. The album is a mix of bluegrass instrumentation and poetic ballads and down-home production that, taken together, feels warm and inviting. Then you'll get to a track that just goes in a different direction and threads multiple sonic textures into a tapestry of introspection.
