Q: How large is the removable water tank?
A: The water tank does not appear to be that large, however the steamer will run for a good 15 or 20 minutes easily before refilling. We have a large finished basement with ceramic tile and it covers the whole area and still has water in the tank. I had a shark steamer and an H2O steamer and neither had the incredible steam time this unit has. The price is amazing for this steamer.
Q: is it okay to use on carpet?
A: Good question! There is an optional carpet glider attachment that can be purchased directly from BISSELL. While this will not clean like a carpet cleaner it will refresh your carpets!
Q: Is tap water okay to use with this steamer?
A: Glad you asked! For the PowerFresh Steam Mop we recommended distilled water be used.
Q: Could I use Bona with the Bissell steam mop on my hardwood floors?
A: You can use Bona according to the maker's instructions and the BISSELL PowerFresh Steam Mop. You cannot use the product in the steam cleaner.
Q: how do i order extra cleaning pads? and from where?
A: Not to worry you can always order extra pads for your PowerFresh direct from BISSELL.
Q: Can you add bleach to water?
A: I read you should only be adding distilled water.
Q: Can I use the Bissell PowerFresh Steam Mop on Kardean vinyl wood flooring?
A: Great question, Donna. This mop is designed for hard floors including vinyl and laminate. For your specific brand you may want to check with your flooring manufacturer for their recommended cleaning method.
Q: Do I have to throw away left over water from the water tank when cleaning is done? Thanks.
A: I don't but I use it often. I also add a splash of vinegar once a month to keep any build up from the tank or in the lines.
