Q: Is there a way to clean the hose? It gets very dirty!
A: I just suck up clean water and it does the job. No problems.
A: Yes you can use this for it—however I really believe that if you’re cleaning set in stains, it’s all in what cleaner you use. I would highly recommend mixing half Nature’s Miracle and half the pet carpet cleaner. Natures Miracle is amazing stuff and has the enzymes in it that you need for cleaning urine. I use my spot bot for dog vomit, diarrhea, as well as to clean up after my kids. It’s really handy and we use it frequently. Don’t be afraid to use it multiple times in the same spot if you need to for set in stains.
A: I absolutely use is on my couch. I put down a blanket for puppy, but she might drool off the blanket or chew a treat off the blanket when I don't see, and I can't handle the dog smell on stuff. It worked great! Though I only used the hand-held hose attachment rather than the spot treatment. I'm not sure how that would work, but you can use the hose.
Q: How many amps does this machine have?
A: Hi Kitty - this portable cleaner has a 3 amp motor.
Q: Does the Spotbot heat the water in the tank or do you have to pre-heat it before hand?
A: You have to heat the water yourself. I use tap water.

A: I don’t have a Bissell upright but if it has a hose it would probably do as well if not better than the SpotBot. The hose is rather short for doing a couch. I have used it on stairs but have to lift the Spotbot to the step below the one I”m cleaning as I move up.
