A: Hi Sherry, I can't be specific on the decibels, however, this is a very quiet machine. It doesn't interfere with someone watching television, and my three month old granddaughter never awakened while I ran through her room as she slept during a quick vacuum.
A: There are times that hair and string has gotten wrapped around the roller. Easy to remove and clean.
A: My bed does not have a very high opening around it, it is a platform bed so this unit will not flatten and fit under my bed but I am able to use the detachable handle and attachments and vacuum under my bed.
Q: Is this a self-propelled vacuum? Is there a Bissell that is?
A: This model is not self propelled, but it is very light weight and glides very easily with little force behind it.
Q: Is this an outdated model? I am unable to find filter replacements.

Q: How doesn't this vacuum work on gym flooring?
A: It is for any surface. You just have to adjust the suction on the handle.
A: I am considering this vacuum.. The specifications say "YES" the brush roll can be switched off. thus, when you use the tools, you have the option to turn off the brush. This is a feature that I want too.
