Bitdefender total security was easy to download. Since I have been using, I have not received warning signing that I had viruses or to update drivers, etc. This product has corrected all of those issues.

Bitdefender is the real deal. I have used several anti-virus programs over the years and have to say this one is up there with the best. The User interface is modern yet simple to use. I have this on a few laptops and what stands out is that Bitdefender isn’t a strain on system resources when running in the background. I am able to move without any problem from app to app and page to page on the Internet with no discernable or perceived lag on the OS. The Home page or dash board has the most used protection features on it and allows the user to customize the page with their own protection features they may use often. You’re able to manage the firewall, Passwords, spam, and vulnerabilities with ease. Bitdefender can also be loaded on mobile devices as well. This antivirus program checks all of the boxes and then some. I would have no problem recommending it to my friends and family.

---SETUP--- The setup for Bitfender Total Security 2019 was easy. You go to a website and create an account with them (I already had one), enter your activation code, and the download begins after that. ---FEATURES--- The key features of this anti-virus program are that it has a small file size, won’t slow down your computer, and can prevent attacks from happening. There’s also a child protection safe-guard that can help you, as a parent, monitor what websites your child accesses or tries to access. This particular version also covers 5 devices, including PCs, Macs, or mobiles. ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of this anti-virus program was relatively quick. I scanned 4 TBs worth of information in about 1 hour. No threats were found. I currently have this software installed on my gaming computer (PC), my work computer (PC laptop), and my Mac Book Pro, which I use for video editing. Since the installation, I haven’t noticed any slowdown of any of my devices and they work just as efficient as before the installation. No threats have been found for over a year, since I previously also had the 2018 version. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product meets my expectations. The installation is quick and simple. I really do like the autopilot mode, which allows you to install the software and then it takes over for you so that you won’t worry about anything. It will occasionally ask for your input on certain actions, but they don’t interfere with your system. One thing that I noticed was that the Mac version seems more limited than the PC versions. Additionally, I had the 2018 version installed and it wouldn’t expire until 180 more days. After entering the code for the 2019 update, instead of adding days to my 180, it reset my time to 365, effectively causing me to lose a little under a half a year’s worth of a subscription. That’s something to be aware of if you are planning to buy before your previous subscription is up. ---VALUE--- The price for the software in terms of value is very good, seeing as how you can protect up to 5 devices. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for people who want to feel their computer is safe without dealing with too much hassle.

If you need an application to try and protect you from nearly every type of malicious computer product out there, with zero technical know how, then Bitdefender Total Security 2019 is for you. However, if you work with uncommon programs or like to maintain technical control of your system, I’d avoid this one. Bitdefender Total Security takes the word “total” pretty literal. Ranging from standard anti-virus and anti-malware to file and password control. There is no doubt that my computer felt safer with it installed. However, it also felt like I lost all say so in the matter. Even when a specific program was triggered and put into the quarantine, if you restore it the file is automatically added to the exception list. Then the malware triggers, with no exception or the advanced threat triggers, again with no exception other than to turn those features completely off. Defeating the purpose behind them. The same goes for having it installed on an android phone. One application has triggered the Malware Scanner, again because it is an uncommon application, but there is no way to exclude it. So, it sits there with an issue warning at all times. The phone application does allow for multiple protection features, such as malware scanner, web protection, app lock and anti-theft. Some of the features require them to be enabled and it will remind you about them pretty regularly if you don’t have them enabled. Just like nearly every time I access the web, I get the VPN notification. The app lock feature adds a second layer of protection, for example, if someone gets your phone while it is unlocked, they can now read your messages or wreak havoc on other accounts that trust your phone. Though the app lock feature keeps them from doing anything in the application, it is slightly delayed, so anything that was already displayed can be seen for a split second. If you have the lock mode set for “Lock every time” it is the most secure, but highly obnoxious when you are just using your phone and switching between apps as you have to scan your finger or PIN every time it is brought to the front, again. Using it as fingerprint was the easiest, but found that it caused issues with other programs that use fingerprint to unlock as that split second delay caused interruption for the other application. If you haven’t been to a site called haveibeenpwned, then you probably haven’t seen your emails that have possibly been compromised in online leaks. Bitdefender uses similar information that is on that site to help you track account privacy. However, they only provide the site name and a date, give no further details, are missing several and show some as repeats. Bottom line is that Bitdefender Total Security is great for keeping my parents and kids devices safe, as I don’t want them changing anything while avoiding any malicious content. If you desire more technical control or work with non-standard applications, this one is a bit difficult to work with.

I have had a few experiences with different internet security services. I am very impressed with Bitdefender Total Security 2019 subscription. The Bitdefender has one of the best protection features. One of the features that I like is the Vulnerability setting which reminds you to change passwords. So far, it has a done an excellent job with its antivirus, firewall, saves files which protect access to valuable documents, and anti-spam online threat prevention. The advanced threat defense features are one of the modules which are most of the interest because it is the behavioral blocking component. The ransomware remediation feature automatically restores if there are any encrypted files. All these modules make Bitdefender Total Security 2019 the best multi-layer defense for any computer. The included VPN makes this product a plus to have due to the recent repeal of the net neutrality regulation. The subscription allows installation for up to five devices. My laptop performs better, and I feel more secure when I go online. Overall, I am satisfied with my new total security software.

I have this product about 4 weeks. Performance is good. It is non intrusive in most cases. however I have some issues: I have not been able to add my cell phone to it so far as the 2 times I tried its website (through which you need to go) froze. The other issues I have is that it seems to be blocking some updates - like adobe. I am moderately savvy about technology. I am sure there are solutions to these issues but I have so far not succeeded in my preliminary tries.

Pretty good for security however it is the worst for gaming. It will always pop up with a notification at least 3 or more times. Everything from game is trying to use mic to full blown ads for more of their products. So many deaths. Also Bitdefender likes to scan the network for threats then alert that a scan was detected. Now that we have a nighthawk router with Bitdefender on it the alerts have only grown.

Install was very fast on my laptop. It scans your system while installing. Once done, there was an update. I had to enable the "ransomware remediation" option, which protects and fixes if you want to prevent one of those new ransomware that encrypt your data for a payment. I also enabled the automatic profiles as I game a lot on my laptop, so it automatically detects if you are gaming or playing a movie and not annoy you with messages or interruptions. Footprint of the interface seems very light, it did not notice any slow downs on my laptop, granted its a 6 core one, however with only 8 Gigs of ram, and it was still fast and no slowdowns. Its a great solution and you can install it in as much as 5 devices, including Macs!

It's a great software, sure. Haven't had any issues. BUT! Be aware of these two things before you buy it: - If it says "includes VPN" on the front of the box, don't assume it's that easy. What you get with the download is a limited VPN, with a daily limit of 200 MB. It took me about 15 minutes and one download to blow through it. If you're banking or purchasing you could turn it on and off, but it costs $40/yr at the time I write this to get the unlimited version. The Best Buy staff probably don't know these fine details, and if they do they won't tell you unless you ask directly! The Bitdefender account takes you to all sorts of extra add-ons like adware and a $60 tune-up session. - If you're getting this with a new computer, literally take the staff up to the computer model and ask how it will run on that computer. Technically it "fit" on mine, but I got a notification when I was installing that it wouldn't be ideal according to my RAM. This seems to be a heavy processing security program. If you're only moderately computer savvy these tips should give you more confidence. Expect to find extra subscription fees with any add-on.

If you are looking for the friendliest PC using anti-virus software & best protection. Bitdefender is the best! They give away promo discounts all the time because they stand by their product. I never have an issue using this software during working on my PC or when gaming and waits until slowest time of usage to do it's thing and usually really quick to complete too. Also you get 24/7 support if you ever may need to talk with someone to help you! It's top 5 for sure if not usually top 3 every year. Just get it! BB usually has on the shelf on sale if not cheap which YES!

Bitdefender is great. I've been using them for years, and their product is top notch. They consistently win awards and are one of the best out there, if not the best, in the business. The resource footprint is completely tolerable as well, and it's easy to use. I usually wait until they have some sort of Black Friday special to get a year's worth of protection for around a dollar a month. And to top it off, Bitdefender allows you to add purchased time to your existing time - you dont' have to wait for it to expire, you can just extend your subscription by whatever you purchase. Highly recommended!

I have tried multiple different anti virus software and have not had the chance to try Bitdefender. After doing some research and finding that they consistently have made it to many top 10 lists on tech sites I figured I should give them a try and I am glad I did. Easy to install, easy interface to navigate and the price is good. The best thing about it is that since the installation I have not seen a performance decrease in my computer. Some people have complained about the popups, these can be configured. Spend the 5-10 minutes to learn the configurations and you'll be fine.

Purchased for my kids computer. Excellent product. Easy to install and use. Came with the ability to install on other devices as well.

The price was certainly right...a deep discount. Internet security products are typically offered at a bargain basement price for the first year, but the renewal is expensive. A good strategy is to switch around. They all do pretty much the same thing. This version of BitDefender has an optimizing feature, which is nice. The notifications are a bit intrusive, but not a big deal.

If I had paid full price for this suite I would only give it three stars. The package contains an VPN module which is excellent but did not play nice with my HBO Max account on Roku. It would not let me sign in and watch (out of country issue?). Anyway, I just uninstalled that portion of the software and left the Mac AntiVirus portion. It works great. Easy to use compared to my Virus Barrier Suite.

Bitdefender Total Security was easy to install and does a fantastic job. In order to get the most out of this software I recommend reading the User's Guide which is available by selecting the Bitdefender Application on your desktop then selecting the symbol to the right of your name. As a first time user I find that this is a super value. I'm not sure that is true for succeeding years.

After reading multiple reviews, I decided to go with Bitdefender as our next antivirus software. Was very easy to install and create a dashboard to see the information on all systems using this total security software. Speeds have not been impacted and so far no viruses/malware detected.
