Absolutely phenomenal ! This movie has always looked very washed out or loaded with noise, with this 4K Blu Ray that has all been fixed. Colors are bright, black levels are good, sound is even great as well. Definitely recommend anyone who’s interested in this product to get this 4K copy.

Unbelievably freaky horror movie of its time and still holds up today! Margot Kidder (Superman, The Amityville Horror), John Saxon (A Nightmare on Elm Street I and III), Olivia Hussey (Jesus Of Nazareth) star in this intense thriller about a Sorority House terrorized by a homicidal lunatic that takes refuge in the attic, unbeknownst to the sisters during Christmas holiday season. The sisters start to receive these perverted and horrific calls on the phone and seek help from the local police to identify the culprit. In time, they think they have narrowed down the suspect, but it is not all what it seems. This movie, although made the year after The Exorcist, is just as scary as it was then. A tense thriller, but not for the younger viewers. The 4K looks good for a 1974 fllm mostly done at night to showcase the Christmas lights, scenery, etc. Nice slipcover, 3-disc set! Get this one now for a horror Christmas good time!

Classic Christmas horror film worth a watch. It's dark, gritty, and at times disturbing. I love watching this one every year around the holidays.

One of my favorite Christmas movies we watch every year, so glad to have the 4K version, the picture is so crisp for being an old 1974 movie. For anyone that hasn’t seen this movie, very well done and keeps you guessing even after the movie is finished. Bob Clark (yes the writer & director of the classic A Christmas Story) is a pure genius with everything he did for Black Christmas. They honestly don’t make movies like this anymore.

This is an amazing release for what is considered the first slasher film. Not only does the picture & audio look and sound excellent but the special features basically has everything from previous physical media releases. Very appreciated that all this legacy content was included. Plus there are two little new featurettes as well.

5 stars! Film looks simply terrific on 4K! For a film this old, I wasn't expecting a dramatic improvement in terms of video quality over the previous Scream Factory blu-ray. But somehow, this is a wonderful improvement, and the colors pop on all the red and green Christmas lights. Highly recommended!

This movie is a classic for a reason. Watching the 1974 version now is a funny experience because in many ways it subverts the modern slasher fan's expectations but of course it was made before those tropes were cemented.

Classic horror movie that actually paved the way for Halloween, despite people thinking the slasher genre was kicked off by Michael Myers. Great presentation too! Beware of it’s TWO mediocre remakes though.

This movie precedes “Halloween” with some of its innovative shots and genuine horror. The only problem with this release is that Shout! Factory is pretty proud of their releases and tend to be on the expensive side.

This movie still holds up as the scariest slasher film. That opening phone call still gives me chills. I like the 4K upgrade it is nice to have.
