Their subscription cameras I guess after my free 30 days they'll only be good for live view now I know why I've never half off I say $48 on two I guess I got my months worth I went ahead and put another ADT camera in my room I should have done it first off I added it to my system

As an avid user of Blink cameras, this is the first wired one and was wondering how the Blink Mini 2k+ would work out. So far so good … Good: Size Weight Mounting Kit Light Meh: Buggy Recording Notifications since adding Bad: Non-grounded outdoor USB plug Can’t gift subscriptions I have Google wireless & wired cameras and a doorbell (2), I have a hardwired PoE NVR system (5) and I have Blink (9). Overkill? Not really as each of them have their limitations for me and some serve other purposes, like watching wildlife on the property. Coming out of the box, is a simple camera with a decent length USB-A to C cable and a traditional non-grounded USB-A charging block, which I find a bit odd. Weight wise, it’s on the lighter size compared to the Google Nest Cam (although that is indoors only) but similar in size and it comes with some mounting hardware, should you need to stick it on a wall or ceiling. Going back to my camera setup - for my NVR, it’s not as good at night as I had hoped in some areas, but it records 24x7; I supplemented that with a Blink 4 and they are a good match. At the side of my house where the NVR camera isn’t that great, I used this new Blink Mini 2k+ and it adds so much value. At night, where an old straggler Blink 3 camera lives but fails to tell me what’s going on, this Mini 2k+ excels! Motion from deer on the tree line are now visible whereas with the old Blink 3, I had no idea they were using that as a path! Also, during the day, I get to see this annoying squirrel going back & forth tripping up the motion sensor and sitting on the trim sometimes blocking the camera! Speaking of motion sensors … an option to set the light to come on at night when motion is detected is pretty nice and there’s a siren capability along with extended live view. A downside to adding a new camera is you get the ‘subscription’ features for a short time knowing that if you get hooked, they won & now you’re a subscriber. For me, I have an old account so I get to keep videos without a subscription but I don’t get the cool new features - like extended live viewing with the Blink Mini 2+ once the trial ends. A few things that I observed / ran into that were odd … While I do have this in a covered receptacle under my porch, what happens when people want to use an outdoor extension cord and no cover? Will this last? I see the connection to the camera as nice and tight, but not the same for the charging block. Since adding the Mini 2k+, I am seeing notifications that it’s recording on the main screen but when it’s done, there is no recording - and as I had 8 other cameras before adding the Mini 2k+, I know that never happened before. Lastly, Amazon - Blink - please allow us to ‘gift’ subscriptions! I would love to get one for a family member but I can’t. Otherwise, recommended!

I recently decided to switch from another brand to blink. The other brand gave me nothing but headaches and I saw previous reviews on blink products so I decided to start with the outdoor wireless 1080p camera from blink that last 2 years on just 2 batteries. I needed an in door camera to monitor my older kids who stay home while my wife and I go work for a few hours. And god forbid someone ever tries to get into our house. Blink is probably the most affordable with the easiest set up I have ever dealt with. They work great with very clear picture quality and this indoor 2k camera is no exception. It’s small and the power wire is long enough to work in most places. Night vision is great, audio quality is solid and you even have a siren that you can activate through the app. It’s easy to add to an existing system with its scan your QR code feature. Only thing I don’t like is that it’s white I know a minor thing but black would look better and blend in more. But other than that these blink cameras work great and a very affordable it’s crazy how cheap they are. Now i understand why everyone loves them. I now love them too.

I’ve been using Blink security cameras for several years, and while I have mixed feelings about the battery powered cameras, their Blink Mini plug-in cameras have always for the price been one of my favorite security cameras that I recommend to people constantly. The Blink Mini 2k+ is the latest model in that series. These are small cameras. Roughly 2 x 2 x 1.5 inches. So they fit just about anywhere. They are available in white or black, so one of those two choices will blend in with your furniture in your home so they are less visible. Past and other versions of this series caps out video resolution at 1080p resolution that’s still very clear, but this updated model pushes it to 2K (2560 x 1440p), so the videos are even sharper, and allow you to zoom in when viewing more and still retain details you may miss on older models. Still images are slightly lower in resolution but mostly you’ll be using/viewing video with these. Sound has been updated to be a bit clearer with noise canceling. I have tried this one so far in a room that has a DVR motor running near it and I’d say the noise cancellation is noticeable – not dramatically better, but still fine. If you were wanting to talk to someone over the mic and speaker back and forth, it’s certainly doable. Sound seems to connect slightly faster on this version compared to my older one as well. The Blink Mini 2k+ comes with an approx. 7ft USB A to USB-C power cord and a power plug for indoor use. The USB-C side plugs into the back of the camera. Being A/C powered allows it to connect to your Wi-Fi more quickly than the battery versions of their cameras, which is my complaint about those. The plug-in Minis are much faster to respond to alerts and live video requests via the Blink app than the battery models. Of note however, that if you want to use this camera outdoors, you do need to purchase the weather-resistant power cord which is usually sold separately unless you get it as a bundle. Past models were indoor only, or required a special housing to be used outdoors, but the 2k+ is now weather-resistant itself. I’d still recommend trying to mount it under on a porch or under an eave along your house. Weather resistant is not always the same as “weather PROOF”, so strong storms could still impact the camera. Setting it up for indoor use is easy, though slightly buggy. Mine gave me an error message halfway through when in fact it did already connect and set it up in the app. Odd, but it works. If new to Blink, you download and setup the app and scan the QR code on the back and get going pretty easily. It’s important to note that if you want videos from the Mini series to be saved, you must subscribe to a monthly/yearly plan. If you only get one device, it’s $3.99 per month or $11.99 per year for the basic plan, but if you plan on getting multiple Blink devices, you’ll want to opt for the Blink Plus Plan for $119.00 per year that allows multiple devices. Not cheap, but well worth it, as without a plan, you will only get a live alert when motion is detected and can connect live, but nothing is stored. You do get a 30 day trial to the plus plan so you can test it out. An included stand lets you set up and aim the camera as needed in your home. Once set up, I found the 2k+ to be noticeably better than my older Mini model. It does connect more quickly through the app, and sound is a little better. When the room is dark, the built-in LED spotlight light does a decent job of illuminating the immediate area around the camera and showing some colors, as opposed to my older lightless version that relied only on infrared that gives black and white in darker areas. You can turn the alerts on and off and motion sensitivity is adjustable. If you have a subscription, the built-in AI features should be able to tell the difference between a person and a car if mounted outside. I haven’t been able to test this aspect since I’m using it indoors. The field of view is a bit wider as well. As a side perk though, if you use a Blink doorbell, the 2k+ camera can be set up to act as a “chime” that will go off if someone rings the doorbell, adding to you hearing a door alert not just through the app, but also through this camera. It’s also compatible with Alexa + devices. Of note, you do need decent broadband upload speeds to get a good 2k video feed. These days, most people do, but if your Wi-Fi is subject to slow upload speeds this can have an effect on the quality of video when stored or viewing live. For 2k video it’s typically recommended you have an upload speed of at least 2 Mbps, but 3-4 Mbps per camera is going to give you the best experience with video. I have and still do recommend the Blink Mini cameras, and the 2k+ is a decent update over previous models. Again, I recommend these over the battery models in Blink’s lineup for speed and video clarity, so suggest using these when you can. You do again, need to subscribe to Blink’s plan which I also recommend for video storage. These also go on sale frequently and it’s easy to stock up and have them in multiple locations. Some home insurance companies will also give you a discount if you have security cameras, and many police departments will respond more quickly to alarm alerts if you can verify with a camera something is indeed happening – more to consider. I definitely recommend these.

This is a great addition to my Blink camera ecosystem! I've recently purchased a few Blink Outdoor 4 battery operated cameras for my back yard and wanted to expand into my garage with a powered camera. The Blink Mini 2K is a great little camera that takes up no space at all on top of a shelf or when mounted on a wall. In my case, I have it on top of my garage storage unit looking down on my vehicle. Set up is very simple, within the Blink app, you can add a device easily, hit the '+' button and then you can scan the QR code on the back of the camera. Set up doesn't take all that long at all. I do have a Blink hub for the outdoor cams, but you do not need to have a hub to be able to use this camera. Once set up, you can place the camera wherever you like. The mounting system is very versatile, with an additional adapter to change the orientation of the camera on the mount. Once installed, you are good to go. You can open up the live view for ease of installation, to fine tune where you want it to point. The camera has great color night vision with a built in spotlight, instead of the usual black and white looking images that we're used to. And the 2K resolution means that you get great images, and video, and that gives you the ability to (4x) zoom in as well and maintain a great picture. However, one thing I noticed and the reason for removing one star is that (seen in the pictures), when I have the main light on in my garage, the image is fine, but when I turn on the 8 LED panels I have in the garage, there is some interpolation of the image for some reason. The camera is not plugged into the same circuit as the LED panels, so I am not sure why that video interference is occurring. That is my only negative comment about the camera, and this might be a unique situation. If you have a Blink subscription, you can store more video history and look back on events. I've been very impressed with my battery operated Blink cameras, and am loving this powered version as well. You can power it via USB, or by mains power with the included power brick. The built in AI detection works well, you can choose to detect for people, vehicles, or turn them off, if you have an area where it would notify you all to often. The Blink notification system is almost immediate, which is very welcome indeed. This camera also works within the Alexa ecosystem, so if you have any devices with screens, you can pull up the video stream on that system with 'Alexa, show me xxxxx (insert name of camera)'. Overall, this is a great little camera and I love having that added protection and video functionality in my garage!

Negatives: had a difficult time getting it on (and staying on) my home network. Positives: Easy App, great picture quality, great night and lighted options, two-way audio could be nice. So, 4 stars because this high quality camera is a major pain to install on a mesh Wifi network. It also has fallen off a few times (the first time on day one), with two being unable to reconnect and requiring removal and re-adding. It's been steadily on my network for a week, now, so I'll keep it. Otherwise, this compact camera is a great device. Of note, it is very wide angle, much more than I expected.

I currently have 9 Blink Sync modules supervising 14 cameras (7 Outdoor, 2 Doorbell & 5 indoor cameras). I have both gen 1, 2 and XP Sync modules. All but one of the Sync modules is in my office with a battery backup. I've had one of my indoor camera's high above my kitchen. And another looking into my family room. Both of these are more than 12' from where they would detect motion. They do a good job of detecting the motion, but the resolution of those images is mediocre at best. I'm looking for the new Blink Mini 2K to improve this situation. The new Mini 2K has essentially the same field of view (115h°x60v°) as the Mini did (110°h; same as outdoor cameras). Setup of new camera's remains trivial. With the Blink App open you scan the QR code on the back of the camera. Once detected, you communicate with it via BT. Once the BT is recognized it asks you what network you want to connect to (still only 2.4Ghz); by selection of what's found. And then what Sync Module you want to associate the camera with. If you want to change this you can delete the camera (you will be Emailed a message telling you which device (with serial number) has been deleted from a specified sync module), and add it to a different module. All of this works very reliably. Being emailed the serial number means if the camera is mounted somewhere that it's hard to get to (I need a ladder to get to half of mine), you don't need to get to it to "move it". Anytime you set up a camera you should redefine the motion detection setting and sensitivity zones. All of my sync modules have 128GB micro SD cards to record motion events to. They are all on defined schedules. So fareI'm very pleased with the new Mini 2k. The camera's quality in bright light is most excellent. In a partially lighted room it still picks up in color with a pretty high quality image. Until you zoom in on images you can't really tell how much better the images are. Just looking at images on your phone, the difference is pretty negligible, but when you zoom in the quality is so much better. And to my surprise under very dark conditions, the image captured is so much better than the original Blink Mini, and in nearly complete darkness where the IR LEDs kick in the image is far superior (and in color). I'm happy that the field of view is so close to the original, as I don't have to move what I have already set up. I'll probably wait for them to go on sale and replace 2 of the 4 other indoor camera's I have (the ones furthest away from subjects). The two that typically pick up from under 10' feet are probably sufficient as they are. The new Blink Mini 2k is a nice upgrade, in a consistent package/design, it is good to see continued improvements.

Blink’s Mini 2K+ ended up being a surprisingly capable little security camera that punches above its price. The 2K resolution and 4x zoom make it easy to read details like faces and package labels, and the wide 138 degree field of view covers most of a room without constant repositioning. The “feature” that made it stand out the most is its reliability! It simply works every time, meaning the camera is always connected to wifi and the software works every time. I can control the camera and see its recordings via the Blink app on my iphone; the software always connects to the camera without hassle. This was not the case for me in the past with budget cameras as there would be frequent disconnects between software and camera or the camera wouldn’t connect to wifi or constantly disconnect. Setup is fast: plug it in, add it in the app, and you’re watching a live feed in minutes, with responsive alerts when motion is detected. Color night vision with the built‑in LED spotlight is a big upgrade over basic infrared, making late‑night clips far more usable. Two‑way audio is clear enough for quick conversations at the door or checking in on pets, helped by the enhanced noise‑cancelling mic and speaker. There are tradeoffs. Smart detection for people and vehicles requires a subscription, and the best clip storage options also lean on paid plans. Still, if you want an inexpensive, compact plug‑in camera that delivers sharp 2K video, solid app control, Alexa compatibility, and flexible indoor or weather‑adapted outdoor use, the Blink Mini 2K+ is easy to recommend as a dependable everyday security upgrade.

I have the battery-operated Blink cameras for outside my home and just needed one for inside to keep an eye on my dogs. The camera was pretty simple to setup; it took me a sometime to figure out where the reset button was. The directions do not fully explain, but you pop the stand off the bottom of the camera, and the reset button is then exposed. The camera itself has been stable and video quality has been good. I did have an issue where all of my blink cameras would not work, but a simple reset of the sync module fixed the issue. This camera since its plugged-in loads up pretty quickly and allows you to continuously watch unlike the battery cameras. The built in microphone and speaker seem to work pretty good as well. I can easily hear a person talking and they can hear my talking clearly through the camera. The night vison works very well and is easy to make out people or objects very clearly even if its pitch black. The camera does have a built-in light that you can control via the app and is very bright. Overall blink itself has been pretty good system that is easy to expand and place anywhere that its needed. I wish that sometimes the cameras would load up faster for in app viewing, or that they would record more even when not armed. I'm happy to have this camera as part of my blink system and could see buying a couple more for the garage and basement. If you already have blink this would be a great addition to your system.

The Blink Mini 2K+ cameras deliver excellent performance for home security. The 2K resolution provides sharp, detailed video, making it easy to identify faces and movement. The color night vision performs very well in low-light conditions, offering clear and usable footage at night. Motion detection is accurate and responsive, with timely notifications through the app. The two-way audio is clear, and the enhanced microphone and speaker quality are noticeable improvements. Installation was straightforward, and the compact design makes them easy to place anywhere indoors. Overall, this is a reliable and high-quality security solution at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their home monitoring system.

Blink - Mini 2K+ Compact plug-in security camera, 2K video resolution, color night vision, enhanced audio TL;DR: SETUP: Sign into the Blink App, on the top part of the screen, press the + button, and follow onscreen prompts (more details below). If you don’t have a Sync Module, you will need to add that, too. If you do, you can skip, or update to the current one. USE: It works very similarly to the other plug-in Blink Cameras. The 2K gives slightly better clarity inside. USABILITY: If you’re accustomed to Blink Cameras, this works exactly the same way…which is to say, very good. More information below. OVERALL: It works well and is set it and forget it. REVIEW: First, when connecting the Blink Cameras, you first need to sign into the Blink App. On the top part of the screen, press the + button. First, choose Sync Module (then Video Doorbell). Scan the QR Code on the back of the Sync Module (then Video Doorbell), and follow the directions - which will have you adding your home WiFi. It will update the firmware settings, and then will be connected. Next, you need to install it where you want it. Test it and make sure it works as you expect. For me, I initially put it in my front window to replace an older version of the same camera. I had to adjust settings on the older model, which worked very well. I tried the same with this, and I couldn’t cut down on the glare. It also wasn’t able to give me any alerts. It wouldn’t recognize anything. My windows are brand new. I’m sure there is a UV coating and am assuming this is the reason. My old windows were old…and any UV coating must have eroded over time. The brand-new double-paned windows were too much for this camera. I will need to use Blink Outdoor Cameras instead. I ended up putting this in a room to monitor my pets’ eating habits. It works phenomenally well for that. I had to readjust the settings, as I was getting hundreds of alerts a day. I can now see that everyone is eating about the same amount, and no one is stealing from each other. The camera is in a room that gets natural light, sometimes artificial light, sometimes fully dark, and at other times with a nightlight. In all circumstances, it provides good details. The zooming function distorts details, but I’m not needing fine details like I would if it were in the window, so I am happy with the camera overall. I have Blink Outdoor Cameras and the newly updated Blink Doorbell Camera. When I have had issues, their customer service team has been very helpful. If you already have Blink Cameras, this is a simple extension of them. I will probably play around with the location of this camera, too.

What got me excited I have one Blink module/cam already, so having one more is always better than not having an extra. The cameras are easy to add to your existing account, or creating a new one. What I’m expecting I’m expecting the same easy to install camera process on the app. The 2K clarity should also be a nice bump from the majority of cameras that are 1080p in the same price range. What’s included in the packaging? Out of the box you get the camera, a USB-A to USB-C cable, a power brick, mounting screws, and inserts. Yes, you read that correctly; a power brick. Phone companies have stopped installing power bricks to “save the environments” but it’s a cost saving measure. I’m glad that blink decided to include it. You probably need the extra wattage to keep the camera operational. My first impressions The app is pretty easy to navigate, and you’ll definitely need it to not only add cameras to it, but also use the functionality of the camera itself. The camera is small, but has a light, a mic, speaker, and can be mounted. Let’s try it out The camera’s clarity is top notch. The app has the usual setting options like controlling the motion area, vide and photo settings, audio settings, and light/motion activation. Both the video and audio quality was clear. The video is very clear. The camera itself is also pretty light, so mounting it isn’t much of a hassle. What stood out that was positive The camera clarity is great. The app is great and the set up is easy. What stood out that was negative I wish that Blink included a two-sided adhesive so you can just “stick” the camera onto a surface without drilling holes into a wall. Some things I wish (What can be included in the next version and what I would take out) Please include at least 1 double sided adhesive stickers that allows users to mount their cameras without drilling holes into their walls. Who is this targeted at? This is targeted towards anybody who wants the extra layer of security for their home or business. All in all This is another great camera from Blink. You get 2K clarity, 2-way audio, a great app, and peace of mind.

Got this to keep an eye on my pets while I was away. Worked great! Very easy setup, easy to use, great picture, even has night view. Great deal!

It’s cheap for sure, it’s not too bad. It tells you the difference between js motion or if it detects movement. But you have to pay a subscription to use the features or it won’t work. It won’t save any videos and you can’t go back to look at what happened. It groups frames together and skips frames.

Great resolution, especially in the dark. Bought this to mount inside my garage. Easy installation, and good image quality. Provides color images in everything except extreme dark. Two-way audio is clear in both directions. Does what I need it to do. The 2K was only a few dollars more than last year's 1080p version on a Black Friday deal, and the upgrade was worth the extra cost.

Really easy to use; I adopted a dog with separation anxiety, and this helps so much in keeping a watch on her while I'm out. It got it on sale for around $25, which was a great buy!
