Short Battery Life for Lights

Generally, this is a decent product. The camera works great. It waa easy to put up and the picture and motion detector does what I need. However. It wasn't up 30 days before the batteries on the light went out. If you purchase be prepared to find rechargeable C batteries for the light to work long term.

Works great!! Night and day. Love the AI. I already purchased the AI base subscription. Lights are great also. All battery, which are still active. My Blink is set up facing front fence, great to keep vandals away. Very happy!!!

Honestly thèse caméra is wonderfull my best deal of 2026 i order another one for my gâte My boy mouvement are normal now .because all are recorded and send for me I can check my home, cars , and all visitors from my work place.I love it . At beginning my phone ring every time but I manage it from setting

Not loading recordings to my clip list once the trial period was over, I’m clicking over to local storage, and there are no clips to view unlike years ago, with my indoor camera it would show after taking time to load

Hello and thank you for your feedback on the Blink Outdoor Floodlight. I'm sorry to hear that your recordings are no longer loading to your clip list after the trial period ended, and I understand how frustrating that must be — especially when your previous indoor camera worked differently.
With the Blink system, once the free trial subscription period ends, cloud storage for motion-recorded clips is no longer available without an active Blink subscription plan. However, you can still save clips locally by using a USB flash drive inserted into your Blink Sync Module 2. To set up local storage, insert a compatible USB drive (up to 256 GB) into the USB port on the back of your Sync Module 2, then go to the Blink app and navigate to your Sync Module settings to enable local storage. Once enabled, motion clips will be saved directly to the USB drive rather than the cloud. To view these locally stored clips, open the Blink app, tap on the Clip List, and select "Local Storage" — the clips may take a moment to load as they are being pulled from the USB drive rather than the cloud. If clips are still not appearing under local storage, try removing and reinserting the USB drive, ensuring it is formatted to exFAT or FAT32, and restarting the Sync Module by unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in.
If you'd prefer cloud storage with up to 60 days of clip history and additional AI-powered features, Blink offers subscription plans starting with Blink Basic and Blink Plus that restore full cloud recording functionality. Exactly what i was looking for. I wanted a motion activated flood light for my property. This filled the bill. Easy to install convient battery operations. You can use the camera without a subscription but it is view only.

Pretty nice security camera system along with camera-activated light. Though this is not perfect, it is working well and detects motions. Even better thing is that this product is quite affordable in budget. It provides a battery-based system with a long life span. I highly recommend this product.

Floodlights are battery drainers

Camera is great. Bought mid december 2025. On 3rd set of batteries in floodlight. Have everything low settings ad just out in 3fd set of batteries 4 days ago and already down 15%. Took out additional warranty but don't think that will do any good, just poor floodlights. Camera only went off 4 times in the last 4 nights for approx 10 seconds. Thinking of spending another 50.00 and converting to solar for amera and floodlight.

Rapid battery drain in the floodlight can sometimes be influenced by temperature (cold weather significantly reduces battery performance), the type of batteries used (lithium batteries are strongly recommended over alkaline for outdoor use), and whether the floodlight is activating due to ambient light changes or heat sources nearby. We'd recommend ensuring you're using high-quality lithium AA batteries, double-checking that the floodlight sensitivity and duration settings are at their minimum in the Blink app, and positioning the camera away from heat sources or areas with frequent light changes that could trigger the floodlight unnecessarily. The solar conversion you're considering could be a great long-term solution for reducing battery costs. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to improve — thank you!

Great Addition to my Yard

The Blink Outdoor camera has been a great addition to my yard! I have it on my shed and I am able to see the entire backyard which includes my garden. I am still adjusting the sensitive settings and would like it to be more detailed, but that could just be my wifi connection. Overall very happy with my camera!

I’m surprised how easy and fast it was to install the floodlight camera. My only complaint was after 2 days of having the camera activate, the batteries had to been replaced with brand new batteries which cost me $10 so other than that the product is fantastic.
