An incredible album from start to finish. Bon Jovi took a different direction back in 1995 with nothing to lose. The bands of their ilk were no longer popular and had long been replaced by grungier artists. So they took a left field turn and came out with "These Days". It's an album often described as dark, but there are brilliant moments of hope and optimism. The songwriting is fresh and intricate. The lyrics demonstrate a new level of maturity for the band. One of their best records of their nearly 35 year career. My favorite tracks include "Damned," "Hearts Breaking Even," "My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms," and "(It's Hard) Letting You Go".
