I love my iPad Pro & Samsung Galaxy tablet but reading eBooks on those devices isnt always a pleasant experience. They're large, heavy, and their (highly reflective) glass displays aren't well suited for reading for long periods of time. The Boox Poke 4 Lite answers all of those problems but creates a few more. The interface is a bit confusing with inconsistent controls and app specific display settings. You can enable the Google Play Store to access a large number of reading apps / book stores but it can take up to 24 hours for Google's servers to register the device. The thing that bugs me the most is that only 7 of the 16 Gigabytes of internal storage is available. 7GB is more than enough for a sizeable ebook library but audiobooks would certainly eat up a significant chunk of that storage space. For that reason alone, I'm most likely going to exchange this device for the Boox Poke 3. It's a year older and has a glass display on top of the e-ink screen but it has 32GB of storage space.

It's solid. It is obviously the cheaper model but does exactly what it needs to. I use the google play store and it runs the apps well for reading. A little fidgety at times due to refresh rates but not a problem. For the price and google play store access I recommend it. Works well for manga as well.

Perfect size for one handed reading. Super easy to load books onto it and the battery life is very good. I love that the yellow/blue backlight is adjustable so you can set it to your preference.
