    Here is an excerpt from pg.29 of the owners manual: Starting steam clean 1. Pour a maximum of ½ cup of water onto the bottom of the oven cavity. 2. Press clean once. "on" lights up. The steam clean timer counts down from 30 minutes. 3. When the steam clean timer has elapsed, continue with subsequent cleaning.
