A: Yes very dry and very hot
A: If you are only doing one load a week, keep the round filter in the bottom middle of the dishwasher clean. Also make sure you have it installed with a loop or something between the dishwasher and your garbage disposal to stop garbage from draining into your dishwasher. The instructions mention both of these. The loop especially is a normal problem with incorrect dishwasher installations.
