Stopped Working - Expensive repair

Shorty after 1-year of use, the control panel went out and the unit was no longer operable. The repair estimate was a much as a new unit, so weve decided to purchase another brand. Currently using another brand’s countertop for temporary use.

stay away from this device.

Not a great product. The Microwave broke after 20 months. No display or anything. Just stopped working. Apparantely, this is a common problem with this device. Better to stay away from this.

Easy to use

This microwave/convection oven not only looks good but is easy to use. Microwave, convection, and Speed Cook combination that uses both. Not complicated to use any method chosen. Quiet operation. The "beep" is more like a soft chime. So far we love this appliance.

$2,000 microwave with very dim Control Panel

It performs fine but the light on the Display Pane is dim you can hardly see it. A Bosch technician came and just told me it can not be fixed, it is designed like that. He said that the product is made for Bosch but not made by Bosch. What a lame excuse :-(

Disappointed - needed repair when under 2 yrs old

We have had this Convection Speed Oven/Microwave for 1 year and 10 months when it suddenly just quit working, no lights on display, no power. Since it was so new, I had an electrician check the wiring at the fuse box and in the back of the oven itself. All the wiring was good. So I had to pay a Certified Bosch Repair company to come look at it and then for parts needed (2 door monitor switches had gone out completely). We chose to pay more for Bosch appliances because we perceived them to be better quality and workmanship. I guess, not so much. Beware also...the inside of this oven is nice and shiny when new but almost impossible to keep that way after about 6 mos of use

Display brightness problem

Less than 1 year old, display brightness decreased suddenly so you can barely see the clock and other things on the display. I tried adjusting the brightness, put it on high setting but it didn’t do anything. Otherwise looks great and works great.

Panel Dimmed After Install - Check Bosch's Site

The panel dimmed soon after install - this is a known issue with the HMC80252UC and HMC80251UC. Bosch won't cover the fix - Don't buy!
