Great sound, Worth the extra few dollars over other mid level outdoor speakers. Powering it with an older analog receiver around a new pool install. Can't wait to hear them when jobs finished and upgraded to new digital receiver. I agree with another reviewer, should come with a bracket to mount under the eaves. Tip for this is a trip to the hardware store for a set of decorative shelf brackets and S/S lag bolts to secure out in the weather,

I purchased the Bose 151 to complement my three season porch. Visually they blend right in and provide an alternative to the traditional box/square looking speakers. Performance wise the sound is very clear and crisp. At higher volume though you can tell a subwoofer is needed to truly complement these speakers. But if you not planning on pushing the limits on your equipment then these should do just fine. The one negative is the price but these are Bose after all so you know what your getting yourself into.

Bought these for an outdoor pool/patio area. Overall I am pleased with the purchase. I decided on Bose after a very positive experience with Bose Customer Service for another product. Given the 5 year warranty I should have nothing to worry about for the next few years. These are paired with a Yamaha AV receiver using 14GA speaker wire. And input is from my cable box but mostly from a Google Chromecast devices. Sounds quality is good but base is a little light. These speakers have a dynamic range given audio characteristics of a pool/patio area. My neighbors directly behind me can hear the music some days. It's clear enough for them to enjoy or dislike depending on the genre. When mounted properly (see below) the entire pool area (and yard) is filled with music without having to blare the volume. Regarding mounting, it's important to follow the install guide and mount these horizontally and not vertically as the pictures depict. And do not to point the speakers at each other. Otherwise, you will not enjoy the "Stereo Everywhere" experience these speakers can produce. Slick mounting brackets (and hardware) are included but was unable to use based on my install location. I found most third-party mounts, given the appropriate weight rating, are compatible. I tried the Rocketfish mounts but given the plastic components (and speaker price) I decided to locate some metal mounts for a more secure connection.

These replaced some plant speakers that have been been going down hill for years. They installed easily, look good and sound great. Pandora now fills our screen porch and garden pretty much 24/7. I've yet to be disappointed with Bose products...

I have a pair of these installed by our hot tub and the sound that comes from these little guys is shockingly good. I also have a pair of the 251 series installed on our deck and they are a bit larger so there's more low end. But the 151 series does a pleasantly surprising job of projecting a great sound.

This system complemented the Soundtouch system in my patio. I used this speaker to extend my existing 251 system to cover my outdoor spa area. Excellent sound and easy to install.

Bose Speakers can weather the weather with great sound. Color Never fades due to double coating. Only negative - swivel brackets need to be metal, not plastic for better support.

Very easy to install sound quality is excellent. Bose overall makes a great product. Own multiple bose products and never disappointed.

These Bose speakers have a far superior sound quality vs. other speakers that I have had. It is very easy to set up also.

I have chosen BOSE speakers as my first choice for the last 30 years, starting with my BOSE 901s. The BOSE 151SE are an ideal speaker for an outdoor patio environment as we use them for, excellent quality and sound features that are not overpowering. The installation requires little more than mounting a bracket, attaching the speaker and plugging it into your system; I was done in less than 30 minutes. The speakers blend into the environment and are barely noticeable; unless someone is asking where that awesome sound is coming from!

I recently purchased my second set of Bose 151 speakers. After 15+ years of midwestern year-round climate exposure, one of my previous pair expired (I now have a spare speaker) and I unhesitatingly bought a new pair. The sound quality is excellent and, though they are mounted only 1 foot below the fence top, the sound stays in my yard and does not disrupt the neighbors or attract any passers-by to join the party. Well worth the price.

These replaced an off brand set of speakers. Installation took all of 15 minutes including removal of the old speakers. I'm very pleased with the perfomance and look. Great sound reaches all areas of the deck and pool area.

I was able to install very easily. The brackets are very sturdy and allow very good angle adjustment. Even better, they sound great.

These speakers have a nice design and also sound very good and loud. They lack bass though so if you like and lot of base I would probably get a subwoofer.

We have had ours for a few years now, definitely worth the money! They were expensive up front but you get what you pay for. Great sound quality. Would buy again.
