Comfort --------------------------- The Bose Quietcomfort headphones are comfortable to wear for a prolonged period. I was able to watch through a whole movie without having to adjust it once. It stays put on the ears and the insulation provides a perfect seal eliminating the outer noise. Noise Cancelling and various modes -------------------------------------------------------- The Bose QuietComfort headphones offers one of the best noise cancellation feature. It totally blocks outside noise (like the loud rumble from the HVAC) and I was just able to enjoy the music. And the 2nd Gen QuietComfort comes with the Immersive mode on the non-ultra model. Immersive mode offers a notable difference to music lovers and feels like we are in the middle of it and the Cinema mode offers an amazing experience and puts us right into the movie. The difference between Immersive and Cinema modes is the Still and Motion feature. Immersive puts you in the center even when you are moving around; whereas in the Cinema mode, when you move away from the source, the audio moves accordingly. There are so many other modes to choose from based on the need, like the outdoor mode which blocks the wind noise or the workout mode. This also let users create custom mode to hear the music just the way we like for every environment we are in. There is a dedicated shortcut button, which is customizable to cycle through the various modes of our choice or to summon the voice assistant or invoke Spotify. The most awesome feature of this headphone is it lets users set the custom level of noise cancellation offering a balance of anywhere between total isolation and complete awareness of the outside environment suiting to every need. Sound Quality ---------------------------- There is a lot of difference between hearing a loud high bass sound and a rich acoustic sound with highest level of clarity. We cannot feel the difference unless we actually try it. And once we do, there is no going back. The sound clarity is so rich and every instrument sounds very clear and this completely elevates the listening experience. And when this is coupled with the noise cancellation, it is a serene experience. Call quality ---------------------------- The call quality is extremely good and the person at the other end can hear me loud and clear even in a noisy environment. The noise cancellation isolated the outside sound and we were able to converse very clearly. Multipoint --------------------------------------- The Multipoint connectivity feature is pretty useful as I was able to answer my phone calls while watching a movie on the TV without having to juggle around for my other set of earbuds. It can pair to two devices at once and store quite a lot of devices, so it just connect to the ones that’s on and already saved. Battery Life and foldable design ------------------------------------------- Battery life is pretty awesome. After using it for around 10 hours with mixed use for music, movie and calls, there is still 70% battery life remaining; this easily will last more than 24 hours. The headphones fold into a cute little box (provided) making it handy to carry around. Conclusion ------------------------------- The Bose QuietComfort 2nd Gen headphones has an amazing sound, noise cancellation, comfort and lasting battery making it a perfect choice for all day usage for a rich, clear sound. Listening in this headphones helps us isolate from the outside world when needed. The immersive, cinema and other modes are now available in the Bose's base model of QuietComfort Gen 2 making this an excellent choice.

I’ve had quite a few Bose products over the years and the 2nd Gen QuietComfort headphones are another great addition to their over-ear headphone lineup. I had a late night flight the day mine were delivered, which gave me an immediate opportunity to put the noise cancellation to the test. Of course it worked excellently. The plane’s cabin noise was dramatically reduced, making the flight much more enjoyable and making it easy to focus on listening to Ariana’s new album and work my way through the second Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobook (a weird combination I know). I actually almost fell asleep, which is not typical for me on a plane. Out of all the over-ear headphone brands I’ve used, Bose is the most comfortable for me personally. The earcups are nice and deep, so my ears don’t touch the inside of the cups. They are also lightweight and do not dig into my scalp, which makes long listening sessions possible. The physical controls on the earcups work well. Like the HVAC controls in my car, I prefer the tactility of physical buttons to touch screen or capacitive controls. The buttons are easy to find while the headphones are on your head, and functionality is intuitive. I especially appreciate that the mode button actually calls out which mode you’re switching to, so there’s no need to guess. Like most over-ear headphones, battery life is unreal. With moderate use, I haven’t had to charge them in two weeks. When charging is needed, these do charge quickly via USB C. Sound quality has been excellent. The sound profile feels balanced and works really well across a wide range of content. I’ve enjoyed them with everything from pop and rock to classical music and audiobooks, and they’ve performed great across the board. If you prefer to make tweaks, EQ settings can be adjusted in the Bose app. Finally, the included hardshell case deserves some praise. It feels premium and has held up nicely while being tossed around in my backpack. There’s a dedicated pouch inside for the included charging and aux cables, which keeps everything nicely organized. Overall, these headphones have checked pretty much every box for me. For all that you’re getting, they’re easy to recommend, especially when some other brands charge much more than these are going for.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones 2nd Gen. deliver very good sound quality, excellent noise canceling, and the familiar comfort Bose is known for. They’re easy to enjoy right out of the box, but they do have a few quirks worth mentioning. Overall, they’re a solid pair of headphones that should satisfy Bose fans. Sound Quality and Listening Modes - Sound quality is very good, and Bose includes four listening modes: Quiet, Immersion, Cinema, and Aware. “Immersion” accomplishes what the name implies. It seems that volume is slightly boosted and, after calibration, the Bose QuietComfort Headphones track head movement to the point of putting the sound source behind you if you turn completely around. It’s a very cool effect and sounds good. “Cinema” is new to me, and I had the chance to try it after connecting the headphones to my television. It’s an illuminating way to experience a movie soundtrack. I suggest watching something you’re familiar with; I was picking up on details for the first time. The movie seems to come alive, and noise canceling makes a big difference in keeping me focused on the action. Out of the box, Bose headphones are very bass forward. If that’s not your thing, sound can be adjusted to taste, and I believe adjusting the EQ is a must. I do wish the Bose app offered more granular equalization. It’s limited to a three band Bass, Mid, Treble EQ, and finer controls would be appreciated. Separation is good, but not great. Listening to the Dave Brubeck Quartet’s Take Five, the musicians were difficult to place, and it sometimes felt like they were all everywhere at once. It’s enjoyable, but imaging could be better. App Experience - The Bose app is where things get a little frustrating. Connecting the QuietComfort Headphones to the app is hit or miss. Initially, the app refused to see my new headphones, and I had to uninstall and reinstall the app before it finally worked. I still haven’t figured out how to connect reliably. The app finds my Bose earbuds without issue, so I’m hopeful a future update resolves this problem for these headphones. Once connected, the app works fine and provides access to a plethora of settings. I do love the customizability. Battery Life - Battery life is excellent. The power connection is the now-ubiquitous USB-C, and I fully charged the headphones before first use. After approximately four hours of listening, the battery was still at 85%. That’s impressive and suggests these will easily handle long listening sessions or travel days without needing a recharge. Comfort - Comfort is one of Bose’s strengths, and these headphones are no exception. They are very comfortable for extended listening. However, they do hold heat, and my ears get a little warm after a while. Also, I wish the earcup padding were a little deeper; my ears make contact with the inside of the headphones. It’s not uncomfortable, but it’s noticeable. Overall Impression - The Bose QuietComfort Headphones 2nd Gen. sound good, offer excellent noise cancellation, and include useful listening modes, especially Cinema which presents a new option for late-night movie viewing. They’re comfortable, battery life is outstanding, and they deliver the listening experience I have come to expect from Bose. There are a few drawbacks: The app connection is unreliable (so far), the EQ is limited, and the earcups could be deeper, but none of these issues are dealbreakers. If you are a Bose fan, the QuietComfort Headphones 2nd Gen. will not disappoint and are easy to recommend.

I was curious about the Bose Quiet Comfort (2nd Gen) (QC2) yet assumed it was another “me too” mid-priced headphone. After using them, I realized it’s unique and serves a different purpose than its similar priced competitors, and I own most of those to know firsthand. The QC2’s trim, airy frame and superior noise cancellation make it, by far, the best travel headphone I’ve ever owned. Those are its core skills and if that’s what you need most in a headphone read on. AUDIO QUALITY Then there is the QC2’s music abilities, which is the tradeoff here. It’s good, but it’s not on the same level as its larger, heavier, less comfortable competitors. And some of the excellent features of those models, like a substantial multi-band equalizer, is missing in the QC too. I liken the QC2 as headphones for people who don’t like earbuds because they provide that same “invisible” feel without having to stick a tube in your ear canal for decent noise cancelation. As a bonus, the QC2’s noise cancellation blocks out more distractions. My conclusion on the QC2’s baseline audio is tuned for casual listening in that it has adds a little energy to pop songs. By that I mean anything composed in the past 100 years. To my ears audio quality sweet spot is when my iPhone’s volume is between 35-55%. Lower than that and it begins to hollow out and loose punch. Higher and it’s just too much of everything. There is a “but” here. Even at reasonable volume levels the highs and lows of more naturally livelier songs can get extreme. For example, Songs like Sergio Mendes & Brasil’s [THE BULL], with prominent horns sound brassier than intended. I noticed a similar over enthusiasm in EDM/Dance artist Sofi Tukker’s Spiral which was both boomier and brighter than I recall and ran over the vocals rather than enhanced them. I later confirmed by playing on other headphones. This intensity didn’t seem to infiltrate into more average to mellow compositions. APP & FEATURES (ABSENT) Normally attenuating these highs and lows is as simple as adjusting the in-app equalizer. Surprisingly though, even if the face of stiff competition, Bose chose to only supply an inadequate 3-band version. Most of the QC2’s competitors have at minimum 5-band. In my fiddling, it only slightly altered the default sound and seems to be in the app for marketing purposes only. The rest of the app features are lackluster too, many duplicating controls on the QC2. For example, there’s virtual switches for sound modes (noise cancellation, transparency) and immersive audio patterns. For the most part though the app is only essential to change the amount of noise cancellation and equalization, to install firmware updates, and to set the function of the QC2’s physical “action” button. But default, pressing it toggles between noise canceling, transparency, and immersion modes, but it can be set to activate a voice assistant like Siri, or to turn on Spotify (Spotify app must be installed, user logged in). The oddest feature no-show to me is the QC2’s does not immediately pause or sleep either when you remove them or put them down. All my other headphones do at least one of these. As a consolation, the app does offer an auto-off timer that can be set anywhere from 5 minutes to a full day. The QC2 is also missing compatibility with hi-res aptX Bluetooth codecs. As an iPhone user this isn’t a big deal to me since Apple doesn’t support them either. But if you have an aptX compatible Android it could factor in. The good news on the lossless music front is, the QC2 does provide lossless playback via its USB-C port when used with the supplied cable. Naturally, the app wants you to use it for pairing to your phone, but it’s not required. I was able to pair using the Bluetooth panel on my iPhone. On first launch, the app asks you to sign in to an account, but the no-sign in guest option works just as well. The app will also ask for lots of permissions and it won’t work initially without granting all of them. After setup I turned off permissions except for Bluetooth and it continued working fine. NC, TRANSPARENCY, & IMMERSION MODES Noise cancelling while walking around the city and on a path next to a busy parkway was impeccable, well impeccable*. Listening to AAC 320 songs from my iPhone, between 30-40% volume, was like I was in a recording studio. I heard nothing but the music. I walk this route almost daily and this is by far the best noise cancellation experience I’ve ever had. I’m confident the QC2s will crush the noise of an airplane cabin. Physics demands that noise cancellation worsens audio quality, but it’s only a slight degradation toggling from “Aware to “Quiet” mode, what Bose calls its transparency and noise cancellation modes, respectively. Quiet mode was hiss and white noise free and the frequencies sounded just a tiny bit pinched. That’s to be expected, and the reality is, in a noise location any added benefit of “Aware” mode is negated by background noise. Back to that “*”. While “Quiet” mode is excellent with music playing, I noticed it steps down a notch when listening to podcasts or during outdoor phone conversations. In a city setting, for example, some traffic whispers intrude as if I was in slightly “Aware” mode. Even in that situation though it still matches my other headphone’s NC performance. The QC2 does an acceptable job at cancelling wind noise. I ran into 12ish MPH gusts and while it was audible it wasn’t distracting. Wind noise cancellation is automatic and can’t be adjusted. It seems the latest and greatest headphone feature is immersion, and it’s a nice feature if when watching movies. But for music I don’t get the appeal. It unnecessarily alters the artist’s intended arrangement without providing any sonic improvement. It’s like a bad remake of a classic movie in this use. If it’s your cup of tea though, it works. BUILD AND BUTTONS It may seem paradoxical but the QC2’s toyish feel is one of my favorite qualities about it. Yes, it’s mostly plastic, but so are all my other headphones, some even more expensive ones. But those are still noticeably heavier, and you notice it, especially on an hours long flight or walk. And no way could I run or work out in those because they are so weighty. And while they are small and feel slight in-hand, on head they are amazing. No part is uncomfortable. There’s amble cushion in the synthetic leather headband and earpads, and the clamping force is less than a baby’s bite. It has a near-invisible presence and at the same time it doesn’t attempt to shift or slip even when aggressively walking or lightly jogging. In addition to travel, I think these would be ideal for the gym or trail too. For context, my head is on the adult small side with proportionally sized ears that poke out. They fit perfectly inside the ear cups, both in width and depth. My guess is the only people who might experience discomfort are ballers who wear the top hat or helmet size. My ruler measured a max 6” spread from end of pad to end of pad. Bottom of the headband pad to the center of the earpad is about 5” and the yokes extend an additional 2”. Then there’s the physical buttons. Ah, physical buttons, how do I adore thee. The QC2’s are near perfect, being both large and spaced well so that you can find the right button by memory, but also when gloved, well maybe not ski gloved. The main control cluster is three buttons, with the center button performing the tasks of muting and song transport, based on how many taps you make. The outer two buttons are dedicated to volume. So, while this is a multi-function arrangement, it’s easy on the muscle memory. All the other buttons are dedicated, and as mentioned, the action button is partially assignable. Placement is also perfect. I’m constantly amazed at the effort some companies go to insure headphone buttons in the most awkward area. Smartly, the QCs are all in an intuitive area and each reach. All-in-all the buttons, layout, and functionality make for a pleasant, frustration free user experience. I have the black version, which I call “stealth” because every bit of it, even the Bose logo is that color. While a splash of color can be fun, sometimes you don’t want to attract attention, and these won’t. They look like headphones. End of story. No walking billboard, no “look how much I spent.” BATTERY I find the QC2’s 24 hours battery life with noise cancellation on to be accurate. It loses about 5% per hour in my use playing AAC 320 tracks from my iPhone at mid-volume. Spec sheet readers may point out 24 hours is low, but that’s a tradeoff for comfort. The bigger, brawnier headphones simply have more space to pack in a larger battery. But it’s not like 24 hours is nothing. That’s a flight from NY to Australia and I’m not wearing my headphones the entire trip. So longer battery life is convenient but not a showstopper or single reason for me. STORAGE CASE The last touch that makes the QC2 travel perfect is its narrower case, with help of a little ear cup folding. I measured it against the next small headphone case I own. The QC2’s case saves an additional 1.5” width, which is considerable in my business-style backpack that’s only 11.5” internally at its widest point. Bose accomplishes this space savings by requiring some ear cup folding to fit it in the case. That’s a bit of a faff, especially in a hurry, compared to cases that let you drop the headphones in. The left side of the case has a pocket to store the included USB-C and Mini-headphone cables plus a few other small items you might add. The zipper pull has a loop if you want to hook it to a carabiner clip on your pack. There’s no handle or indention to aid griping and grabbing from a bag.

The second generation of Bose QuietComfort Noise Canceling Headphones (QC2) builds on the solid reputation that Bose already has in the market for premium audio products. I have used the original QuietComfort Noise Canceling Headphones for years now and absolutely love them. Opening the box on these second-generation headphones, you are greeted with a plain white box with 'PRESS PLAY, PAUSE THE REST', open it up and you have a nice carry case inside containing your headphones, the charging cable and an airline adapter so you can plug them into the screen on an airplane. On the inside of the white box is a QR code for you to download the Bose Corporation app (black icon with a white 'B' on it). Launch the app, turn on your headphones (slide the switch and hold it forward for 3+ seconds and let go). You are now in pairing mode and can see about connecting your headphones to the app. Once you are connected, you can now set them up to your liking. Straight out of the box, they sounded phenomenal to me. So warm and inviting, with a really nice balance of bass to mids and highs. I did end up adjusting the EQ just slightly for a little more treble, but the bass was perfect! And the noise canceling is absolutely amazing. The headphones make you feel like you are in a literal vacuum, listening only to what is piped into them. My first test track was a song by 'Battle Drone' called 'Hannibal'. Soft vocals, with a rising crescendo of guitars and drums, building into an anthemic rock song. Everything sounds tight, clear and crisp, with warm bass. A full-bodied feeling throughout your head, with no interruptions from the outside world. You are left to focus on your music source, in my case, Spotify. The inside of the ear cups is a nice contrasting blue, the speakers inside are angled towards you, giving you more direct sound into the ear. They are comfortable; however, your ears can get quite warm. I have small ears, so the ear cups to swallow my ears, meaning they sit inside the headphones rather than them resting on top of my ears. They battery has lasted well; I've not had any concerns about listening time throughout the day. They charge pretty quickly which is great to get back to listening to your favorite songs. Overall, the Bose QuietComfort second generation have taken what they delivered with the originals and added some more finesse to them. The sound is absolutely phenomenal! It's like being transported off to another place. It really is like having music pumped into a vacuum, and your head is floating in the middle of it. Absolutely love them!

Unboxing Experience: The moment I opened the box; I got that familiar “Bose knows what they’re doing” feeling. The packaging opens slowly, almost like its intentionally building anticipation. Inside, the hard‑shell case is the first thing you see — clean, compact, and surprisingly premium. Opening the case feels like lifting the lid on something expensive. The headphones are centered perfectly and folded to fit, and the matte black finish looks better in person than in any product photo. They have that soft‑touch texture that makes you want to pick them up immediately. Even the accessories are organized instead of tossed in. It’s a simple unboxing, but it feels classy. First Impressions: The second these go on your head, you understand why people swear by Bose. The ear cushions feel like memory foam pillows, and the clamping force is just right. No adjusting, no fiddling — they sit naturally. Turn them on, and the world drops out. The noise cancellation is so good it feels like a muted reality. Music sounds clean and full, and switching on Immersive Audio gives everything a wider, more open feel. It’s not a gimmick — it genuinely changes how certain songs sound. Daily Use: After a few weeks of using these every day, they’ve basically become my go‑to for everything. For work, they are a lifesaver — I can be sitting in a noisy office, and once these go on, it’s like someone has shut the door on the world. I get way more focused because of them. Battery life easily gets through a full day, and the controls are responsive once you get used to them. The build is durable without being heavy, and the case makes it easy to toss them in a bag without worrying. Build Quality: 1. Matte black finish that doesn’t show fingerprints 2. Smooth, sturdy hinges 3. Cushions that stay soft and breathable 4. Case that feels protective without being bulky 5. Everything about them feels intentionally designed. Pros & Cons: Pros: 1. Immersive Audio can use more battery Final Verdict: These headphones feel like a long‑term purchase — the kind you buy once and don’t think about replacing them for years. They’re comfortable, quiet, and deliver rich, effortless sounds. If you want headphones that make the world disappear and make your music, feel bigger, the Bose QuietComfort Wireless Headphones are absolutely worth it.

Bose QuietComfort (2nd Gen) Over Ear Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones check a lot of the boxes when it comes to desirable features for headphones. Bose is one of the top brands in this category, so I had a high expectation. And boy, it did not disappoint! Here are the main pros. True to the brand, these headphones reproduce music beautifully. The sound is so excellent on these headphones that I heard some new features in music that I never noticed before. I was missing out on things that made music more enjoyable, like subtle mutitrack textures and rhythmic features I heard for the first time upon using the Bose headphone. So, the main reason to buy Bose is definitely there. Gorgeous sound. Another major pro is its noise canceling feature. It is far superior to any other headphones which claim to offer it. When I put these Bose headphones, the world became silent. The fit and feel of the rig is great as well. I found the padding to be more comfortable than some other brands I have used recently. Connecting to Bluetooth was super easy, and even though I downloaded the app, it's not necessary. Next, here comes the cons but they are minor. The control scheme isn't as intuitive as I would like. The toggle on the Bluetooth button doubles as the power switch, and this isn't necessarily as ergonomic as one may expect from Bose. I did enjoy the fact that the chassis of the speakers aren't bristling with controls to hit by accident, and that could be motivation to limit the number of controls. If so, I would say that's working, although more obvious labeling scheme could've been more helpful. Another con is that these headphones are warm on the ears and it takes some getting used to. It's summer at the moment, and the warmth of the headphones is a drawback, but I'll likely appreciate the warmth in the coming winter months. Oeverall, these headphones are excellent and I highly recommend it, especially to those music enthusasits!

TL;DR, a 4.5star, solid pair of well rounded, very comfortable, ANC headphones. The headband and ear cushions are soft, plush, and lightweight. The cans fit over the ear without gaps or squishing. The headband fits snug so it doesn’t slide off but it is very comfortable - perfect for long hours of use. It has button configuration on the cans rather than touch. I personally prefer this. I think it’s pretty straight forward to use and I don’t have to worry about accidentally touching it and changing volume or skipping songs. The sound quality has gotten better from the original QC. The audio quality is balanced, almost rich, and EQ is good out of the box. With that being said, if you dabble in customized EQ, it’s not incredibly customizable but good enough to get you through day to day use. The noise cancellation on these are great. It blocks out most of the background noise. If your volume is relatively low, you can hear loud noises and people nearby sound muffled. Sound leakage is subjective - since everyone’s listening volume varies greatly. With that being said, I tested with my iphone, set volume to 50% and there was no leakage even when my ears were pressed against the cans. When volume was 100%, I was able to hear about 3-4 feet away. While I prefer music in “Quiet” mode just because the sound quality is noticeably different in my ears, I can absolutely see the appeal for Immersive audio for most people. There is definitely a feeling of being “surrounded” by sound while “Quiet” mode sounds more “in front of you / your ear.” Battery life is good, about 25 hours or so. The battery life changes based on ANC usage. It does last through a full day of work, commuting or traveling. This maybe is a non-issue and I’m nitpicking but I wish the battery life read accurately. When you turn it on after a fresh charge, it reads 100%. Within 5 minutes, it drops to 90%. Then drops in increments of 10% and not knowing exactly how long I actually have with the 10% is a bit annoying. I also really like that this comes with some essentials: Hard case to keep the headphones protected in a bag or backpack. Aux cable to be used in airplanes or with devices that don’t have bluetooth USB-C to USB-C cable to minimize the amount of cables to carry around Overall, I would recommend this if you’re in the market for a lightweight, comfortable, and balanced pair of headphones for commuting, traveling or just daily use. If you’re an audiophilia, these headphones may leave you feeling wanting something more.

I was very excited to receive these headphones. They make a great first impression. First at all, once I tried them on it was pleasant to feel the smooth headband, adjustable sliders, super soft cushioning oval shaped earcups that gives a great seal for isolation.  These are my first BOSE Headphones, however i have had different stand-alone Bose Speakers, always getting great sound experience, but I was really curious how these will perform in stereo mode. The headphones I got are black with a sleek look and the buttons are very intuitive. The setup is super easy, the first thing I did when I opened the box was scan the QR code found inside to install the Bose app that connects with the headphones. I signed into my Bose account in the app and I let the headphones charge for about an hour and I began the process. To turn them on, just press the switch small handle on the left ear with the Bluetooth sign on it. The headphones make a sound to signal that it’s turned on and at the same time have the app open because it will immediately start looking for the headphones so it can pair. I have an Iphone, once it’s paired to the phone and the app, it will show on your BT list as "BOSE QC2 HP". You can see what features you can adjust on the app depending on how you want your audio to sound. For example, one of the features that the app offers are called “Modes”. This shows four different modes that you can choose between which are quiet, aware, immersion, and cinema. You can also go back and forward between these by just pressing the button next to the on/off switch on the left ear. Quiet mode seems to be completely quiet mode, but my favorite is cinema. In cinema mode, the music sounds very clear. You can also remove noise control, change the immersion audio, and create shortcuts all from the app. I personally like how you can control most things from the headphones themselves so I don’t have to continuously go into the app to change things. The right ear has three buttons all next to each other. The two buttons on the ends control the volume and the middle controls whether you want to skip a song or go back. Two presses is "pass" and three is "go back". The right ear also has the charging port. My favorite accessory that comes with this headset is the case. I’ve had headphones that do not come with a case and it is very inefficient because they can easily get ruined in my backpack when I travel and I find myself worried about them getting squished under my laptop and other things, but this case is perfect with the headphones. The headphones are obviously foldable to be able to fix into the sturdy case.  And this is a huge advantage over other brands because it is more compact and more efficient for traveling. The case has a pocket inside where you will find the charging cable USB-C and it also comes with the USB-C to stereo headphones which can come in very handy to be able to connect directly with another devices. The headphones also come with microphones to be able to speak directly with someone without having to use your phone. As I mentioned before, these are my first set of Bose headphones as well as my first experience in Bose Stereo mode, and I was not dissapointed. I love how they sound and how practical they are. They are far superior to the other headphones I’ve had over the years. Overall, these headphones offer extreme comfort and great sound. The voices and instruments are clearly heard and the cinema experience make it feel like you are actually at the movies. 

Bose has finally updated the QuietComfort that originally came out in 2023 and has become long in the tooth. While both gen 1 and gen 2 looks nearly identical, a few button design choices makes it clear that these are Gen 2. The Gen 2 moved the power button from the backside to a better place along the edge. The power button is a physical toggle that’s tied to Bluetooth pairing. I love the physical power toggle when compared to many headphones with long press buttons. Both new and old gens retain the 3 action buttons on the right cup. Up/down volume and middle pause/play. The left side has the new power toggle and sound mode change button. The sound profile change button can be Quiet (100% ANC), Aware (transparency mode), Immersion (virtual surround), and Cinema. I have my gen 2 set to Quiet and Aware. I find the Immersion mode to sound slightly off on podcasts and recordings that were meant to be in 2 channels. Speaking of app, you can also set the equalizer if you want more bass, mids or treble. I find that you will need to tweak the EQ to your liking as the flat profile was very boring out of the box. While the app isn’t necessary for everyday use, setting the EQ and sound modes is worth exploring to get the most out of these gen 2 quietcomforts. After dialing in the EQ, the sound is impressive for what I would consider a mid-tier plus range. Bose does have an Ultra version of the QuietComfort that would be considered their flagship model. The sound stage is impressive and the newly added spatial audio, which was once only in the ultra, is now available in the regular QuietComfort gen2. The active noise canceling works fantastic drowning out background noise. The ear cups and headband all have nice cushy padding that lets me rock out all day with little fatigue. Besides music, taking phone calls with these headphones works great and the people on the other end can hear me just fine. Do note that these headphones does not have a proximity sensor so these will keep playing music even if you take them off your head. In summary, if you’re a Bose fan or one that demands one of the best ANC in the market, this long awaited QuietComfort Gen 2 is for you. It punches above its weight class in the mid-tier+ range in over-the-ear ANC headphones. It sounds significantly better than my $150 Sony headphones with ANC but not as good as the Apple AirPods Max 2. But then again, Airpods Max 2 is nearly 2x the cost of the Bose.

Bose is always a solid audio choice for me. This is not my first Bose headphone product and will not be my last. I own a pair of first generation Bose Quiet comfort headphones and loved those. The Quiet Comfort 2 second generation headphones are head and shoulders above those!! These are so light and comfortable, I quickly forget I have them on. Out of the box, they paired with no issues through the Bose app. (I cannot recommend enough, download the Bose app to enhance your listening experience.) In the app you can adjust your bass, mids, and treble to your ear’s preferred listening experience. In the app you can also set your quick button, or change your listening experience. The spacial audio is so immersive and is a phenomenal listening experience. You can set it up if you’re moving around to follow you or have it set you for if you are sitting still. Noise cancellation in these Bose Quiet Comfort 2 is some of the best I have experienced hands down! There are times when you need to shut out the outside world and have your own rock concert, quiet disco, or just not hear any unwanted noise. These take me on a mental vacation to my own world of music or movies. It’s definitely needed at times, especially at the end of a long day. I find that aware mode could be better to help hear the outside world when I need to make sure I am staying safe while listening to music going out for a walk. However, I mostly use the Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones at home for music listening while relaxing. (Not gonna lie I own so many types of headphones! So these are my chillin shut the world out ones.) The audio during calls is great and I’m told they could hear me perfectly on the other end. This is my new favorite pair of over the ear headphones to date. The audio quality is what I expect from Bose, the comfort is top notch. I can wear these for extended periods of time and know these will be my go to on flights from here on out. I am definitely loving these new Bose Quiet Comfort 2 over the ear headphones.

I’m reviewing the Bose QuietComfort second gen headphones from the perspective of a casual headphone user. As an owner of the Sony XM4, I can at least provide some comparisons between the QuietComfort to that of the XM4. Unfortunately, I haven’t used the first generation of the QuietComfort so I cannot provide a direct comparison of its comfort and audio quality. At the very least though I can talk about the design. From looking at pictures of the first gen compared to the second gen, the designs are very similar. However, there is one notable absence on the second gen, the lack of a 3.5mm port. The power button is now where the 3.5mm jack is for the second gen. I do not understand why this feature is removed. At the very least, a USB C to 3.5mm cable is included, but still a port like this shouldn’t be removed. Audio quality wise, the QuietComfort and the XM4 are both really good with the QuietComfort being a tad better according to my ears (as expected because it’s newer than the XM4). What you prefer might depend on your preferences. Keep in mind this is out of the box without altering the equalizer with their respective apps. The XM4 is a bit more bass heavy, while the QuietComfort focuses more on mids. That said, the bass on the QuietComfort is still rather good and can always be adjusted. Dialogue and vocals are very clear on the QuietComfort. However, what the QuietComfort does really well is noise cancellation. Of course, this is to be expected because the second gen is much newer compared to the XM4. It really does a good job filtering out any noise. Moreover, you can swap between “immersion” and “aware” easily with the press of a button on the left cup. Immersion is for active noise cancellation, while aware lets you hear the environment around you. Much like the name suggests, the QuietComfort is really comfortable compared to the XM4. I feel like there is less pressure on my ears with the cups resting against my ears compared to the XM4. This makes it much more comfortable to wear over a longer period of time since with the XM4 after a while, the top of my head starts feeling a bit tight. The Bose QuietComfort Gen 2 headphones are a great purchase if you’re looking for some comfortable, portable headphones with active noise cancellation and great audio quality. The only issue is if you need a 3.5mm port, which unfortunately has been removed from the prior gen.

I have used some Bose equipment before, namely their soundbars and speakers, but I decided to give their QuietComfort line of headphones a try because they reportedly have best in class noise cancellation and a good, neutral soundscape which allows lows, mids and highs to product properly. For a brand that is known for luxury and quality, the packaging leaves much to be desired but what matters is what's on the inside. The unboxing experience is underwhelming if you're into that thing. Inside, you get a nice hard carrying case, your headphones, some cables and that's it. No manual or other pack-ins. Instead, the inside of the packaging has a simple diagram showing what each button does and a QR code to download the Bose app for basically everything you will need to setup and use your headphones. Aesthetically, I was....underwhelmed? First impressions put the QCs in the same league as maybe my Apple Studio Beats3 headphones but not on the level of my Sonos Ace. The fit and finish was decent but after some exploration and research I realized these were designed to be incredibly light and comfortable first and foremost. They just don't ooze premium build but it is what it is. Comfort wise, yes, they deliver. They slip right on and the heavily cushioned ear cushions mold right to your ears and you can actually hear air escaping as they compress and mold themselves to your ears. Instead of trying to cover around the ear they hit you with a bombardment of cushion to form a seal and this ends up working out better overall. I do like the fact you do not need to create an account to use the app. I wish every company did this. The app lets you control many aspects of your headphones including updates, spatial sound profiles and equalizer. So let's cover sound first. They are FANTASTIC. I'm comparing these to my Sonos Ace and Studio Beats3. The Sonos were my previous favorites for audio but the QCs best them pretty easily and it is because of one thing. Neutral soundscape. I think this is the first time I've encountered headphones that go for balance over pushing bass or treble causing me to run to the equalizer to try and balance everything manually. Right out of the box, the soundscape is beautifully tuned to just be as neutral as possible. Bass isn't too thumping but rich. Treble is crisp and present but not tympanic tearing levels. As a result, hidden mids are able to hold their own good and proper. The QCs passed all my baseline testing with flying colors, but there are two specific songs I use that trip up many "great" sets of cans. They are Kitaro's "Caravansary" (remastered) and The Spinners "The Rubberband Man" (remastered). Within both are very subtle mids and transitioning highs that just about every set of cans I've tested could not separate and produce in a meaningful way except some reference studio cans and Sennheiser 800 S I tested in the past. Imagine my surprise while I was merrily bopping along to Caravansary and suddenly those subtle rolling mids were clearly front and center. I then switched to The Rubberband Man and my delight continued to increased as the distinct twang of the rubber bands were so clearly front and center and properly balanced. I actually took the QCs off and stared at them with a big smile on my face. The rest of the night was spent pouring over old and new favorites delighting in a great, great soundscape especially at this price point. I spent several additional days watching content on my AppleTV 4k going back and forth with the Studio3, Sonos Ace and QCs and the QCs are the best of the lot. This was after having previously compared the Sonos Ace to my other dozen or so pairs of headphones and declaring them the winner for my personal use. Noise cancellation is very important to me for sleeping and watching movies/shows and the QCs deliver. They are on the same level as the Sonos Ace, but what differentiates Bose is their ear cushion technology. The Sonos Ace use a nice, cupping that is large enough to form a seal around the ear while Bose forms a seal on and around the ear using a wide, airy, very pliable, soft cushion that forms a larger, more encompassing seal. This elevates the Bose ANC overall experience to a slightly better level. If anything disrupts the Sonos seal (which can happen shifting or if a sleep mask strap gets in), you suddenly have some external noise coming in. The Bose QCs can experience the same effect but because of the larger, wider softer, more pliable material and the seal it forms, it greatly reduces the chances of that happening. In the end, I do not have faith in the build quality to sleep with the QCs as they do not feel as robust as the Sonos Ace but I will use them for everything else. I have cracked and broken many pairs of ANC headphones for sleeping including two pairs of expensive Studio headphones while I have used the Sonos Ace for over two years now and they are no worse for the wear. On the other hand, the QCs will replace my Sonos Ace and every other pair for everything else I do as I find the ANC and soundscape to be exceptional.

The Bose QuietComfort 2nd Gen headphones are the newest premium noise canceling headphones in the Bose lineup featuring many new and improved features. • Unboxing – The unboxing process is quick and easy. It comes with a black carrying case containing the QuietComfort Gen 2 headphones, USB-C to USB-C cable and 3.5 mm to USB-C cable. Unfortunately, no power adaptor is included and per the USB charger requirement the power adaptor must be between 1.8 and 2.5 watts for maximum charging speed. The included USB-C to USB-C cable will charge the headphones during wired listening; although, apparently you can still listen to music even when the battery is depleted in passive mode (no noise cancellation or active EQ). Under optimal charging conditions the headphones will gain 2.5 hours of playback with 15 minutes of charging. • Design – Redesigned wider headband with super smooth and quiet adjustment and new colors to include Rosewood Mauve, Dewdrop Mint, and Eucalyptus Green. While I have black, I really like the Dewdrop Mint color. The ear cups are made of protein leather and fit my ears nicely. The headphones are lightweight and remain cool and comfortable with prolonged use. • Sound – As expected Bose continues to lead the industry in the immersive premium sound exeperience. Bose offers Immersive Audio which adds significant depth producing a concert-like soundstage rather than the classic stereo sound we are all used to. When I close my eyes, I feel like I am at the concert. A truly cool experience. The Immersive Audio can be set to Still so the audio stays in place when you move your head or to Motion so the audio follows you. There is a great demo in the Bose app so you can select your preference. Note, in the preset Immersion mode noise cancellation cannot be adjusted; however, you can make your own custom mode to address this. There is also a Cinema mode which adds to Immersive Audio bringing dialogue front and center boosting clarity. Lastly, there is updated ActiveSense Technology that helps remove unwanted noise when in Aware mode. Aware mode uses the microphone arrays to detect the sounds in your surroundings and recreate them in the headphones rather than it sounding like you are wearing earmuffs. • Microphone – The microphone works great for both calls and gaming with solid background noise suppression. • App – The Bose app is well designed and easy to navigate. It has mode selection with the ability to make your own custom mode, multi-point connection for pairing 2 devices at the same time for seamless switching, noise cancellation, immersive audio, equalizer, shortcut for the action button, tips, and product support. Overall, the Bose QuietComfort 2nd Gen headphones offer a sleek light weight design with great colors and an immersive premium audio experience. I highly recommend.

This is my review of the Bose Quietcomfort 2nd Gen wireless headphones. First Impression: Bose really slimmed up the headset compared to the 1st gen. The band is sleeker and has a uniform cushion that sits comfortably on the top of your head. The width adjustment slides out of the band rather than clicking. The hinge has more rotation leaving a better fit to the ears. The ear padding appears thicker creating a better seal. The physical buttons are smaller, smoother, and flusher. The sound is slightly better than 1st gen. They feel more comfortable and don’t get hot after a long movie. Design: Much has changed and a lot has stayed the same. These still look like a mid range headset. The plastic doesn’t feel brittle and no creaking when running on the treadmill with them. The buttons I need to get used to coming from the 1st gen. 1st gen has power button on the side of the earphone were 2nd gen now has it on the button. 1st gen I could feel the buttons with indented plus or minus (possibly helpful for visually impaired). 2nd gen buttons are flat and smooth. It will just have to become muscle memory to remember the button mapping. The arms are less thick and aren’t as wide as 1st gen. 2nd gen has better hinge rotation but I am not sure it is a more robust design that won’t break when compared to the 1st gen hinge. The ear cup opening is smaller than the 1st gen. No issues though with my ears and while wearing glasses. Sound: Slightly improved sound from 1st gen. Clarity of the vocals is top. Looks likes Bose focused on this. Bass is there but not overwhelming. I don’t think Bose was going for bass as the signature sound on these. Glad they didn’t because everything sounds crisp all the way to the mids. I really enjoy these while watching youtube videos and movies. Music from Spotify also sounds like the composer wanted it to. Connectivity: Bluetooth connection was fast to by my iphone and pc. In the hard case there is a usb-c to 3.5mm jack. I haven’t used it because it is too short. No Bluetooth drop out experienced. ANC: ANC is better than 1st gen. In Cinema mode I can’t hear anything around me. It is super quiet. I have not had a chance to test ANC on an airplane yet. I don’t get any negative feedback in ANC mode. Should you buy? Yes, if you currently don’t have Bose wireless headphones. If you have 1st Gen I don’t think Bose did enough to entice an upgrade. That is why I am giving this headset 4 stars instead of 5. Sound wise they are 5 stars.

These are my first Bose QC pair of headphones so I don't have anything older/direct to compare to but I've been pleasantly happy with the experience *First off for whatever reason these do not currently connect to my Pixel 10 on Android 17. Thought I'd just note it, but it works on iOS 26. (Bose app is still buggy) The comfort! It's real. Premium materials make way for lightness and they just don't tire me out after a long time. They still DO though so there is more to it and obviously I never go into it expecting to completely forget I’m wearing headphones. My only complaint is about the adjustments and because they are pretty much all plastic, extending them feels super cheap; however they do go really far so these should be good for large heads as well - no problem! Sound quality as an enthusiast (not total audiophile) felt spot on! I did have to adjust the treble to +3 in the bose app and that improved it even more in most areas for me. Volume is also outstanding so now pair that with the - ANC! The ANC on these just beats out anything I've tried in the past even from the fruit company! It's also gradually adjustable versus just an on/off switch. I only tested these at home/outdoors as I've just finished up all my travels for the year but I'm sure these would be amazing for any flights as well! Battery life is a mixed bag for me and it's also very easy to accidentally leave these on (standby is ok) . I found they lasted me a full day though, just had to remember to plug them in. The biggest problem for me though was the Bose app. Like I said earlier it was not usable for me on the newest Android 17 but even on iOS 26 the connection/visibility of the device would often drop in the app and there were a lot of random disconnects and pauses. All of this should be ironed out for an expensive pair like this, but it's currently not. Besides that these are a solid recommendation

These BOSE QUIETCOMFORT 2nd generation headphones are an experience that you just have to hear to believe. I wanted a set of headphones the would be easy to travel with and keep out the out wanted noises. A pair that I could lounge around the house and enjoy music while doing different task that wouldn’t put pressure on my ears and cause discomfort. These BOSE headphones hit all of my request and did it to perfection. Setup and comport of the BOSE QUIETCOMFORT headphones is as straight forward as it gets. Bluetooth connection was seamless. No special steps needed. Wearing these headphones is extremely comfortable. I have always been a fan of over-the-ear and the coziness they provide. The BOSE feel like they are softly hugging your head and not putting excessive pressure on my ears. I can honestly say that I can wear this for extended hours and not have any worry about creating a sensitive spot. Sound quality of the BOSE excites once again. I have never owned any BOSE headphones. I have a home surround sound system and a few travel speakers. So, I know the sound quality of BOSE and these headphones have surpassed my expectations of what a set of headphones should sound like. The high notes are crisp; the midrange allows you to hear all of the instrument notes and the low range of these plays notes that you don’t normally hear on others. At medium volume and with the active noise cancellation, I was easily able to tune out the world and immerse myself in hours of music. When watching a video or listening to an audio book, voice comes across clear. When using these BOSE to watch a movie it, produces a cinematic sound. I have to say that the BOSE QUIETCOMFORT 2nd generation headphones are a great buy. They are extremely comfortable. Easy to travel with, due to the provided case and all the cables you need to keep them charged or connected. They sound amazing and it’s a listening experience that me putting it into words can’t really do them justice. I highly recommend picking these up and I promise you will not be disappointed.

The Bose QuietComfort 2 has been a great purchase. The noise cancellation is excellent and does a really good job of blocking out background noise, especially while traveling or working in a noisy environment. The sound quality is clear and balanced, with good bass without being overwhelming. They are also very comfortable to wear for long periods, and the fit feels secure without putting too much pressure on my ears. Battery life has been solid, and the controls are easy to use. Overall, these are a great choice if you want premium sound quality, strong noise cancellation, and all-day comfort. Very happy with the purchase!

First, the headphones are very comfortable. I compared these to the Beats and the Bose CQ are so much more comfortable and go around your ears. The immersive sound is the bomb. I highly recommend the Bose. They're higher priced but worth it as a long-term use/investment. They charge quickly and the noise-cancelling is incredible.

Is great but sometimes have connectivity issues but overall is a great headphone.
