I've used and own several other sets of Bose earbuds and headphones and I've loved all of them. The Sport Open Earbuds are a very different concept in bud technology. Being open ear means they are meant to allow you to be able to hear your surroundings easily while still allowing you to connect with your music. Perfect for a gym environment or walking down the street where you need to remain connected to the world around you. They are lightweight and extremely comfortable. They can be worn for a long time and you forget you even have them on. The design allows them to be used by pretty much anyone with ears and they're easy to put on without much effort. That being said, and certainly because of the open air nature of this style of earbud, they sound exceptionally thin. Something I'm not at all used to from Bose. They clip onto each ear with the basic, easy to find buttons on the rear portion and the speakers on the front. The drivers themselves do not go into your ear canal at all, rather they sit just to the rear of the canals, but inside the body of your ear. The thing that always bothers me about this type of earbud is that there is just no bottom end to you music. The Bose app does have an EQ section where you can make small adjustments to the tone, but it's basically a three band EQ so you don't have much control over the sound at all. In addition to the EQ, there's an Auto Volume switch. The idea here is that with it On, it will raise or lower the volume according to the surrounding noise in the environment you happen to be in. This may or may not be useful to you based on the places you wear them. The case is nice. Not much new here and I have a lot of earbuds that use a similar style. That's not a bad thing, the case works well. It stands up on it's own even with the lid open. What's a real benefit, is that the case is able to charge wirelessly. It worked well for me just by using my desktop phone charger. The lid is transparent, for whatever reason. I guess if you're in the habit of setting your earbuds down outside the case, you can see if they're actually in the case...? Anyway, on one end is a USB-C port and on the opposite end is a button to activate the Blue-Tooth discovery. I have an S24 Ultra and it found the earbuds and paired with them quickly and easily. I didn't need the app installed for that to happen. The app has some useful functionality, but is not needed to just do a quick setup and start listening. But it will show you things like the charge of each bud and also the case, which is handy. It does allow multi-point connection and has a switch for that, which is activated by default. There's also tabs to show you hints about the media control buttons, phone calls, charging, etc.. When you first go through the setup process, it will guide you through a tutorial on exactly how to wear them and how to put them in. The controls are very easy to find. There's only one button on each bud. So they are thankfully easy to find (something a lot of other buds seem to miss the point on). Basically, the number of times you click the buttons gets you through things like play/pause. Skip forward or reverse, answer calls and increase or decrease the volume, although I tend to just use my phone volume buttons for that, but that will depend on how close your phone is to you. Helpful during a workout for sure. I had no problem hearing phone conversations, and they seemed quite clear. Battery life is good, as expected. I don't really see a battery life issue with many earbuds these days and these are no different. Overall, I'm very torn on how to actually rate these guys. I love Bose products, and I have quite a few. They're always solid performers and always sound fantastic. For me, regardless of my environment, I don't really care for open ear buds in general. The reason is simple, they have no bass! And these are unfortunately, no different. However, I know a lot of people just like to have comfortable earbuds that are not the kind that seal out all the noise around them because of the environment in which they're used. So for those people, these would be a great choice. For me, I always prefer a more high end sound with good dynamic range. The kind you get from a pair of earbuds that do seal themselves in your ears. It all comes down to personal preference. Taking these earbuds for what they are designed for and evaluating them on that design, I'll split the difference and give them a four out of five. Comfort being a 5, but sound quality being a 3.

After spending some time with the Bose Sport Open Earbuds, I’ve been impressed with how comfortable they are and how well they balance good sound with the ability to stay aware of what is happening around you. The design is different from traditional earbuds. Instead of going directly into your ear canal, they wrap around the outside of your ear with a small circular speaker resting near the opening of your ear. The rubberized portion of the earbud helps keep them securely in place, and they are lightweight and flexible enough that putting them on and taking them off is very easy. There is also a little room to adjust them up or down to find the best position for comfort and sound. With an IP54 rating, they are also resistant to sweat, splashes and dust, which makes them a good option for walking, running or working out. Connecting them through Bluetooth was effortless, especially with the Bose app guiding the process. Each earbud has a physical button on the barrel that controls playback, volume, skipping tracks and going back to the previous song. You can also answer and end phone calls directly from the earbuds. There isn't a dedicated mute button, but that can easily be handled through your phone. A long press on the left earbud can also be assigned as a shortcut. I like having the option to use this for my voice assistant or to quickly open Spotify and continue where I left off. The Bose app is very well done. Along with connection controls and firmware updates, it includes an equalizer for customizing the sound, multipoint connectivity for switching between devices such as a phone and laptop, battery information for both the earbuds and charging case, and access to Bose product support. There are also short animated demonstrations showing exactly how the earbuds should be worn, which I found surprisingly helpful. You can even rename the earbuds using one of Bose's suggestions such as "Ghost Mode" or "Shooting Star," or create your own name. Sound quality has been very good considering these are an open-ear design. The bass is better than I expected, while vocals and higher tones come through sharp and clean. I especially appreciate having the equalizer available so I can adjust the sound to my preference. There is no active noise cancellation, but that isn't really the purpose of these earbuds. They are designed specifically to let outside sound in so you can hear traffic, people or other activity around you. If you're looking for complete isolation from your surroundings, these probably aren't the right choice. Battery life has also been excellent so far. I fully charged everything once and have used the earbuds for roughly six hours total. The charging case has quickly brought them back to 100% and still shows about 70% remaining. Based on my experience so far, getting close to 30 hours of total listening time before having to plug the case back in seems very realistic. The ability to recharge with either USB-C or wireless charging is another nice convenience. Overall, the Bose Sport Open Earbuds are a great option for someone who wants comfortable earbuds with very good sound but doesn't want to be completely disconnected from their surroundings. They stay securely in place, the Bose app adds plenty of useful features, and the battery life has been excellent. For walking, exercising or everyday use when situational awareness matters, I've really enjoyed using them.

Overall these Bose Sport earbuds are comfortable to wear when working out hard and provide good quality audio for an open ear design. They stayed secure whether I was doing interval work on an elliptical or doing hyper back extensions where my head drops towards the floor and then raise back up quickly. They allow in external sounds enough to keep you aware so they are great for running outside as well. The Bose app is bare minimum with very limited customization so you cannot reassign the earbud buttons. Bottom line is these are great for working out but I’ll stick with my Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds when it comes to listening to music while relaxing. Pros: - Secure fit that’s comfortable - Audio quality is very good for open earbuds - Sweat and water resistant which is great for workouts Cons: - No auto pause when you remove an earbud - Function control buttons on the earbud are not customizable - Limited 3 band preset equalizers in the app - No Mute function while in a phone call The ear buds wrap around your ear lobe with a small speaker just outside the ear canal. The larger control section sits just behind your ear lobe and the function button on each earbud is mechanical which means you actually push the button in for it to function. I found the buttons were easy to access and use however they have very limited to no customization. You can only configure the Left Shortcut button to either access the Voice Assistant or to access Spotify – no other functions are changeable. The overall audio quality is good for a open earbud however there is limited adjustability in the app. There are four preset equalizer settings and one that is customizable but its only a 3 band setting so you have limited ability to change the overall sound quality. The Bose app does allow you to turn on Auto Volume which automatically increases the volume in noisy environments. I found this worked very well when wearing them in the gym however I had to turn it off in quieter environments so that I could get the volume low enough for my liking.

As someone who has always loved Bose products, I was excited to get the Bose Sport Open Earbuds. I left them in their case to fully charge and my iPhone's Bose app detected them right away. To get the best sound, I adjusted the fit by gripping the cylindrical section, placing the hook over each ear and then rotating the cylinder so it sits behind the ear. They fit securely yet felt extremely comfortable and you can move them up or down to get the right angle for your ears, just being careful not to pull or bend the arm too far. These do not offer ANC but I don't need it so isn't an issue with me. Connecting via Bluetooth was seamless, which I really appreciated. Charging is simple as well ~ just shut the case lid and a light indicates the remaining battery and you can power them with a USB-C cord or use wireless charging. The controls are straightforward. Tapping the button on either side will play or pause media. Pressing it twice skips to the next track, while pressing it three times goes back to the previous one. To adjust the volume, hold down the button on the right bud to turn it up and the button on the left bud to turn it down. For calls a single press on either bud answers an incoming call and pressing again will answer a second call while placing the first one on hold ~ pressing once more ends or declines a call. The equalizer settings offers great options for Bass Boost, Bass Reducer, Treble Boost and Treble Reducer, along with Source, Shortcut Tips and Product Support. When it comes to phone calls, I was very impressed by how quickly the earbuds pair with my iPhone ~ voices come through crystal clear on both ends with no static, dropouts, or interruptions. They are so lightweight that I often forget I have them on even after hanging up. Overall these Bose earbuds outperform every other pair I own in terms of call quality, clarity, music, comfort and battery performance. They remain firmly in place regardless of what I am doing and I would absolutely recommend buying them.

Powerful punch from a little set. Bose makes a great earbud and now a open earbud what else can you say. I really like the style and the comfort these have they hang on the ear they are sol light if i didn't have sound on i wouldn't know i had them on. I like these because they have a great big sound without being shoved into my ear. These are last years model i don't know what more they could have improved on. The one thing is i don't like that i can't control the volume with these you have a button on the back side behind your ear that you have to press to play stop pick up calls. I do like that if i want to play music all you do is press that button and you music will start playing from what app you have that was cool. I had them on when my wife was driving use around and i was still able to watch and listen to the game and talk to hear not making her feel left out. I did have a problem today with these when i couldn't get one of them to connect it was a little strange that i had to keep replacing them back in the case and still wouldn't work right.

If you picked these up expecting classic Bose bass and immersive sound, you’re going to be disappointed. These are built entirely around staying aware of your environment, and while they nail the fit, the audio experience comes with major compromises. Fit & Comfort ⚬ Extremely Secure: The over-ear hook keeps them locked in place. Whether you’re running, working out, or moving around all day, they don't budge. ⚬ All-Day Wear: Because nothing is jammed inside your ear canal, there’s zero ear fatigue or pressure buildup. If you hate traditional ear tips, the comfort here is a genuine highlight. Sound Quality & Volume ⚬ Lacks Low End: The sound is thin and tinny with virtually non-existent bass. Open-air drivers have a hard time producing low-end thump without an in-ear seal, and even tweaking the EQ in the Bose app barely moves the needle. ⚬ Harsh at High Volume: They don't get very loud. When you crank them toward max volume to compensate for street or gym noise, the audio becomes harsh and sharp with far too much treble. Office & Daily Usability ⚬ Environmental Awareness: Perfect for outdoor running where hearing traffic is a safety priority, or an office desk where you need to chat with coworkers without taking an earbud out. ⚬ Sound Leakage: Because these are essentially tiny speakers directed at your ears, people sitting right next to you in a quiet office will hear what you're listening to once you push past medium volume. These are strictly situational utility earbuds. If situational awareness and comfort matter more to you than music quality, they get the job done—but if you care about full, rich sound, you'll want to pass.

Cons • Bass is very weak: below 60% volume it’s present but thin, and above 60% it becomes almost nonexistent. • No “Find My Earbuds” feature: easy to misplace due to their small size, and there’s no built in way to locate them. • Limited audio depth: the open-ear design already reduces low-end performance, but these fall behind competitors in richness and fullness. Overall Impression The Bose Sport Open Earbuds are comfortable, lightweight, and great for active use, but they fall short in audio performance. The bass response is noticeably lacking, especially at higher volumes, and the absence of a “find your earbuds” feature feels like a missed opportunity. Battery life is solid, the case recharges quickly, and multipoint pairing is a welcome addition, but the sound limitations keep them from feeling like a premium open-ear option.

I am not really a gadget guy, but I do try to get a run in most mornings before the house wakes up, and I picked up the Bose Sport Open Earbuds mainly for that. I have never loved shoving traditional buds deep into my ears, and I was tired of my old ones working loose halfway through a run. Setup could not have been simpler. I downloaded the Bose Music app, the earbuds paired with my iPhone in a matter of seconds, and I was listening to a podcast before I even finished tying my shoes. No fumbling around, no manual required, which is exactly how it should be. Where these earbuds really stand out is on the run itself. Instead of sealing off your ear canal, the open design sits just above it, so I can still hear cars coming up behind me, my dog barking in the yard, or my wife calling me in for dinner. That matters a lot more to me these days than it used to. I run on streets with a decent amount of traffic, and not having my hearing blocked off makes me feel noticeably safer than I did with regular in ear buds. They also seem to hold up fine in sweat and a light drizzle, which is exactly what you want out of something built for outdoor workouts rather than the couch. Day to day, these have become my default for anything active around the house. Mowing the lawn, walking the dog, running quick errands, they just work without a lot of fuss involved. Battery life is rated at around 8 hours, which is plenty to cover several runs before a charge is needed. One quirk worth mentioning, the case itself does not actually charge the buds. You pop them onto a small charging base instead, so it takes a minute to build that habit if you are coming from buds that charge right in the case like most do. The one real adjustment has been the fit. These do not go into your ear canal like most buds. They hook over the top of your ear and rest against the outside instead. Coming from years of the standard in ear style, that took some getting used to. They feel a little different, almost like something is resting on your ear rather than sitting inside it. Nothing painful, just not what I was expecting the first time I put them on. I think with more time wearing them regularly that feeling will keep fading, but it is worth knowing going in that the fit is a real departure from typical earbuds, and it is not going to feel familiar right out of the box. Sound quality is solid for what these are designed to do. You are not going to get deep bass or the isolation of a sealed bud, but that is sort of the whole point. They are built to let outside sound in while still giving you enough audio to enjoy a podcast or a playlist during a workout. Overall, I would recommend these to anyone who spends a lot of time running or walking outside and wants to stay aware of their surroundings while still listening to something. Parents keeping an ear out for kids, people running near traffic, or anyone who has never liked the sealed in ear feeling would probably appreciate these. They are probably not the right pick if you are chasing the best possible sound quality or want noise cancellation for the gym or office. For safety and convenience during outdoor activity though, they have earned a permanent spot in my gym bag.

The Bose - Sport Open-ear Running Earbuds with secure fit are a relaxed, open-ear option for active wear. With a sleek fit, a fashionable look applied to an earbud. Out of the box, the case maintained initial battery charge from factors and the ear buds were ready to go - used for over a week on/off at night for 2-4 hours without needing to charge the case. The ear buds have not died during my normal wear use of about 4-5 hours per night (consistent with reported 7 hours on single charge). Pairing was less simple than I expected - in that once entering into pairing mode, my iPhone actually did not find the device in Bluetooth initially - rather I ended up downloading the Bose app and then they were found/paired appropriately. With the app, there is a basic equalizer function, which I have adjusted bass to be increased per my preference. The sound is well balanced by default but does not carry a massive "umph" factor in bass. Crisp overall sound and have been my preferred ear bud since obtaining. You can still hear the world around you - which is a major open air feature but without being obnoxious in that my wife has not complained of sound level, she did with my previous pair of open air earbuds. The open fit in like a cusp around the middle-to-lower ear depending on desired comfort level. Directing sound into the external ear canal. I found that I did have to adjust the wearing location over the first few days - as day I caused a slight bit of discomfort after about 20-mins. I have now found a good position to wear these without further issue or discomfort. I have been moving pretty rigorously with these and have not had any issue/concern of them falling out. I am also able to reach out the earbud to scratch ear when needed. Can lay with them on side without causing too much discomfort as well. Overall, clear sounding, quick charging open-ear earbud with adequate battery life, providing a secure fit to allow for athletic activities/endurance while staying in position.

Bose Sport Open Earbuds Wireless Bluetooth are leading in a new generation of open earbuds. I was not sure that I was going to like to open ear style for earbuds but what an amazing surprise. The Bose Sport Open Earbuds have impeccable sound with clear crisp audio from bass and treble. The setup was really simple as opening the Bose Sport Open Earbuds case and my Samsung Smartphone recognized my Bluetooth connection and paired with my Smartphone. I downloaded the Bose App and pressed the button the side for the blue light status. I used the How To Wear feature to get the perfect fit for my earlobe by hooking the Bose Sport Open earbuds around my ear. The fit was great and the earbuds snapped right in place snugly, shaking my head from side to side without experiencing any movement from the Bose Sport Open Earbuds. The Bose Open Earbuds have a multipoint connection where you can connect two devices at the same time with 30 feet. I connected my Asus Chromebook and was able to switch back and forth between listening to both devices with Spotify. There Product Tips in using your Bose Sport Open Earbuds such as Media Control with earbud barrel to play or pause audio. Skip Forward/Backward -Double press to skip to next track, triple press to skip to previous track. Volume Control-Press and hold button on right ear or increase in volume, press and hold left earbud to decrease the volume. Answer a phone call by pressing the button on either earbud barrel and even press again to answer a second call and put the current call on hold. You can even charge your earbuds in the case and also charge wirelessly. I can't say enough about The Bose Sport Open Earbuds Wireless Bluetooth especially after going to a run enjoying the open ear equalizer bass sound and secure connection.

I have had countless headphones and earbuds over the years. All different shapes and styles. On ear, over ear, sport, with and without noise cancelling, wired and wireless. I have recently started dabbling in "open ear" earbuds because they are more comfortable for me while wearing them for extended periods. Styles with silicone ear tips that push into your ears provide much more sound isolation, bass, and in some cases volume. However, after wearing them all day, or sometimes even an hour or two, they can cause pain, and I have to take them out. Open-air models are very light and airy. In my experience, they don't have as powerful bass, nor do they block out as much ambient noise, or even provide high quality noise cancellation. However, they are very comfortable. These new Bose Sport Open Earbuds are a clip on style, and so far I have been impressed. They are still pretty small, but they have big sound. Bass is pretty good for a bud that doesn't press into your ear. Audio is clear overall. The charging case is a decent size. Not tiny, but not too big for a pocket either. Setup was quick and easy on my PIxel 11 Pro. They stay in place really well, and I didn't have to adjust them while walking, talking, doing chores around the house, or anything. These earbuds would be great for daily use, office use, around the house, or in the gym. Assuming your gym doesn't have loud music blasting, these buds provide plenty of volume to hear them in most environments.

I own many different types and brands and styles of earbuds. Of course, Bose has long since been a well-known brand, but is also one I’m quite familiar with. And so, I can attest to the quality and outstanding performance of their audio devices. These Bose Sport Open Earbuds impressed. I’ve tried other “open” style earbuds, and found these to be far superior when it comes to comfort. Pairing my new earbuds was a seamless procedure. Since I own other Bose products, I already had an account, so signed in via the App and added them as a new device. The Bose app shows the battery level for each earbud and the charging case; there’s a volume slider, equalizer, and the option to set a shortcut for the left and right earbuds - voice assist or Spotify. After trying out a variety of songs (and genres) on my favorites list, I can definitely hear the difference between the Bass Boost, Treble Boost, Bass Reducer, and Treble Reducer settings. Call quality was clear. Battery life, so far, has been really decent. Tap/touch controls for the left and right earbuds were simple and easy enough to remember. I found that I could wear these Bose Sport Open Earbuds for several hours at a time; they were that comfortable. The charging case is compact and can be tucked into a pocket, purse, or backpack. And while a charging cord doesn’t come with the earbuds, the case requires a USB-C, which most people will likely have already since many devices now use that type of connector.

These are excellent headphones! They are comfortable to wear for hours at a time and don't block out all of the world around, so you can safely go for a run or a ride while still maintaining some awareness of your surroundings. SOUND: Great for the form factor. If you're listening to bass-heavy music like something electronic or some pop, you might find the bass level lacking a little, but overall they're great. I've tried a couple of other buds like this style, and these have the best bass. The rest of the frequencies are also good, but the bass bore mentioning. BATTERY: Good battery life. They will easily last for hours and generally be comfortable to wear the whole time as well. Definitely better than in-ear headphones for comfort. CONTROLS: Straight forward and usable since these have a physical button! Others that I've tried are capacitive touch controls and those can be finicky, especially when working out. These are a physical button to press, so you know that you're actually doing it right. ALTERNATE USE: While these are labeled for "sport" I've also found them to be great when sleeping. If you're sharing a bed and wake up at 2am, want to listen to something to help get back to sleep, these will be way more comfortable than in-ear headphones, still be quiet enough to not wake your partner, and each side can connect independently so you can just use one in the non-pillow side.

These earbuds are state of the art. the first thing that I like about these earbuds are the fact the they wrap around the ear. When i put these on, they were comfortable, light and easily fit into the ear. They sat nicely to the point where I almost didn’t notice I had them on. I like these because i can walk, exercise and hear things the are going on around me but yet still endure a full deep sound of music as well as audiobooks. The sound quality. The sound is very smooth and even-keeled. I love that you can control the volume, and turn them on and off being able to navigate to a telephone call all from the heeadphone. It wastage to pair its with my ipad as well as my iPhone. The battery life is very substantial. I used these for approximately 3 hours and I still had plenty of life left . I love the fact you can do a full workout sedation without worry about them losing battery life. These connect as soon as I open up the device that I am going to use. to end up. I noticed that they connect rather quickly. I would recommend these especially for a person with small ears such as myself. They stay put and don’t fall out which i find a challenge with earbuds might you stuff in the ear vs these that clip to the ear, great Christmas gifts
