One of the best wine movies out there. I watch it maybe 2-3 times a year.

Good story that takes place in 1976. At the time French wines snobbery were considered the premium wines in the world. An Englishman (Alan Rickman) who had a wine shop in Paris wants to have a blind wine taste test comparing wines from around the world to expand his reputation and business. Focuses on his trip to Napa Valley to gather wines for contest and the California wines winnings in the contest and improved reputation as some of the best wines in the world. Enjoyed film.

This is a great movie for wine lovers, especially those of the NAPA/Sonoma area, or anyone that loves a great human interest story. Lots of footage of the wine area, and the struggles of starting a winery. I recommend it to all my friends and have bought several copies of the DVD and hand them out with a bottle of Chateau Montelena Chardonnay and Staggs Leap Cabernet.

I forgot how great this movie is!! Tons of good actors and acting. Good story line. One of the best soundtracks you could have in a movie. Definitely worth purchasing!

The acting is great and the on location filming brings the beauty of California's wine region to the screen.

Based on the Blind tasting that occurred in France that put Napa Valley and USA wine on the map. Excellent cast.

This movie, based on real facts, is very entertaining as well as informative. Alan Rickman is a hoot and was perfect for this part. We have purchased additional copies to give to our friends who also love a good glass of wine.

This is a really cool look at how Napa and Sonoma Valleys got on the map as legitimate wine makers. Great scenery of the area and some interesting stuff about wine-making.

While it takes just a little while to get going, this movie really picks up and winds up being a very comfortable ride.

Highly recommend this movie if you love wine. The movie might cost $14.99 but it might make you book a trip to Napa Valley.
