A: Yes it can be setup vertically, although when you do the unit becomes very unstable. I just bought it and will be returning it for this reason.

A: Yes, it comes with different mounts for a phone , a hero or a camara.
A: For me, I have the iPhone 8, but I would have to take the otter box case (rubber part) off to put the phone on, but it’s not a big issue, it takes a second. Worth it!
