The signal is transmitted to the speaker through a specialized connection between the speaker and back box. Further instructions are provided in the box. Great speaker but non existant after sales service
Excellent ceiling speaker! made my 7.1 B & W speaker system complete and a great upgrade from the 5.1 system I have in my living room. Great sound but bad warranty service from B & W!

Clean
I mean… it just generally sounds great and very clean & clear. I’ll take this quality over a larger woofer that can do slightly lower end. That isn’t what you should be relying on your ceiling speakers to do in the first place.
