Q: Will License Plate Lights interfere with the Night Vision?
A: In general no, but if you are in rain or snow there is interference to an extent - depends on how hard it coming down. More interference from the camera's lights on the unit itself but you can still see. It is the same for all backup cameras mounted in the area in my experience. I have been through a couple of this model.
Q: Will best buy install this?
A: I think it depends on your location and if they have a vehicle center. But yes, if you buy it from Best Buy.
Q: Is the camera on while driving or is it just for back up?
A: That depends on your head unit and settings - it isn't a function of the actual camera. I can turn it on with my head unit and leave it on the screen if I so desire. It does not record either way if that is a concern. You may be looking for a Dash cam setup with a rear view camera. If you bought a camera separate from your head unit with it's own screen, it would depend on that unit.
