We ordered this Brano model to replace our second fume hood in a 10 year old house. Highly disappointed the builder installed Electrolux one died 4 years into our homeownership and replaced it with a GE model, which worked okay, but had to completely be taken apart to simply replace a burnt out halogen bulb. After having to get a new housing for the bulb- it breaks when the bulb is removed- and replacing one only to have the other bulb go out a few months later and have to repeat the burdensome process, we were in need of a more robust and easier to clean and service model. This Brano model- fit the bill- promising easy to remove vent slats underneath, powerful fan, and bright adjustable lights- that I can attest- are easy to replace as they can easily be accessed underneath by removing the vent slats. The fact that it comes with voice controls is a feature I was not looking for and didn’t feel I needed, but having used this for 6 months now, I can honestly say has been handy and a nice perk. This unit has a powerful fan and level 1 is fast enough and moves enough air to be more than adequate for all but an open fire and smoke. Think level 1 on this model as level 3 on the other two I’ve owned (Electrolux and GE) and that should give you a pretty good idea of the power, effectiveness and efficiency of this model. Adjustable lights (3 levels) are also helpful and we find the 3 minute countdown/delay to shutoff timer especially effective for clearing out lingering smells and fumes right after we finish cooling and turn off all our gas burners. Althing we almost exclusively only use fans level 1- my daughter did burn a pasta dish- water and milf overflow on burner- and continued cooking- and having 2 more even powerful levels of fan available was definitely handy then. It has also come in handy when I burnt the bacon in the oven- next to this unit- and the higher levels of fan quickly dissipated the smoke and smell and fended off the usuals fire alarm that would go off in similar circumstances prior to purchasing this. We live that the vent slats underneath are solid metal and so easy to remove and clean and replace. Much easier to remove, more sturdy, and easier to clean than the wire mesh inserts that both our previous range hoods had. If you want a sharp looking, easy to use, powerful fan, and easy to clean range hood at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this model. We are very satisfied with our purchase!

Looks very good and shipping was fast. I only gave it four stars because I have not yet installed it so I don't know how well it operates.
