I've been using Braun Clean & Renew for quite a few years now, and apart from one of the earliest cleaning stations (which leaked fluid onto my counter regularly) it's worked quite well--get a sparkly clean shaver every time. If you've got the time, you can probably manual clean well enough and skip the self-clean station altogether. I've never liked the added cost, but it is a bit of a time saver. I still brush and tap out the bigger debris particles before running the self-clean routine. I shave every day, and run the self-clean routine every other day. A cartridge typically lasts me a little over two months with this routine (using ~5 year old Series 7 cleaning station). My dad has a newer Series 8, and only runs the self-clean routine one to two times a week. He recently mentioned a cartridge lasts him about three months. I received different-looking Clean & Renew cartridges in my latest Best Buy order (August 6, 2024). So different I thought they were fraudulent and considered returning them. Reading other reviews online I found quite a few other people with the same dilemma. Instead of returning, I decided to call Braun and ask them. The customer service representative I spoke with said the Clean & Renew system underwent a "sustainability" redesign early this year (i.e., how can we reduce the amount of material used, increase profits, and save the world at the same time?). So the cartridges lost their "wings", but the newer design still plugs into my self-clean station just fine and has been working just as well. I posted some pictures of the newer cartridges.

Braun is the best shaver on the market without question. And, the models that use this cartridge to clean the shaver make daily use a breeze. Does anyone remember when we needed to take off the head and brush away residue in the past. No need for anything but a daily dose of cleaner. This particular refill is better than past cartridges that had a very heavy lemon smell. Works great and lasts for weeks at a time. Excellent purchase.

Cleans the blade very well and leaves it fresh after every use. Removes hair and residue easily, and the shaver feels like new. Simple to use and lasts a long time. Definitely worth buying for better hygiene and performance.

I really like this cleaner. It has a pleasant smell and cleans the razor very well. I didn't know if I was even going to use this when I bought the razor, or if I'd charge and manually clean, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked after using the sample that came with my razor.

Simple/easy to use and cleans much better than plain water: cleans, sanitizes, lubricates (all-in-one) with a noticeable difference in razor function vs cleaning with water alone. Also, eliminates hard water mineral build-up on razor. Each cartridge can last few weeks, reasonably priced, and maintains optimal razor function. Based on my long-term experience, Braun makes high quality products that you will be most satisfied with.

This product cleans my electric razor in the Braun recharging cleaning unit. My wife thought I should buy the Braun electric razor with the cleaning unit. It has turned out to be wonderful. The liquid smell good and cleans and lubes the razor. Glad I have the cleaning unit and this cleaner works great and is easy to change. Wouldn't want to be without it.

These cartridges help keep my razor clean. I have been using this product well over a year, and my razor has been well kept, thanks to this product. Minerals can build up in a shaver if tap water is used, say nothing of a chalky hair chamber when chlorine is among the substances. The cartridges give off a nice, lemony-fresh scent during cleaning. Shaving is not always a fun ritual, but the clean smell that is maintained in the blade overnight makes the whole process of shaving and cleaning easier.

A must have for a clean and it lubes the shaver head as well. For best results clean your shaver head with liquid soap and hot water before placing it in your charging station.

Works great to clean your Braun razor. Removes hair stubble and facial oils from blades for a clean refresh next shave. The multi pack is also a great money saver.

I have used the Braun series razors for about 6 years now. The cartridge type of razor is my favorite. The cleaner and conditioner cartridge helps to make my shave closer with less irritation. It is easy to install too. The price is right.

I have been using these cartridges for a decade now. First for my Series 7 shaver, and now my new Series 9. They're easy to use and work great for cleaning the shaver head.

These come in a 4 pack. They are easy to use and keep the Braun 9 shaver working well and clean. I think this is a great affordable deal. It's a hit or miss if your store carries them, but they don't seem too hard to find.

Ive been using a self cleaning system since the 3 series of shavers came out. Using this system has eliminated the constant acne issues I had in my younger days. Last week i upgraded to a 7 series razor and guess what? They still use these same cartridges! Thus I'll continue to use these to keep my face smooth and severe acne free!

I have been using this product 8 years and it really cleans and lubricates my Braun Series 9 Shaver very well. And before that my Braun Series 5! Get the 9 you will be happy you spent the extra money!

This is a great product. There are really no other choices for it but buying it through BestBuy you can get great value. I use it every time after a shave. It cleans the electric razor very very well and it feels like using a new and fresh electric razor even after years of usage.
