Really happy with this razor. I've had a series 7 for about 12 years, it still works as fine as it ever did. This series 8 is a big jump in cutting quality. I suppose it's because of the motor having a higher cpm ( cutting actions per minute) than a 12 year old series 7. It's quieter and cuts better with little irritation. It also came with the cleaning unit and charging case, great for travel. Got it on sale for $249.

Sharp and smooth. This is definitely the best electric shaver i ever owned. I tried other makes and brands, nothing compares to this braun. This model even came with a powercase for traveling. I love it!

These were pretty solid but considering the price I couldn’t give more stars. They didn’t do well with longer hairs and irritated my skin a bit. Ended up returning for the series 9.

First of all let me say that i have been a Norelco user all my life and I’m now 71. Each time I needed a new razor I bought the best new Norelco I could afford.My current Norelco is a Series 9000 which is one of their more high end razors. I bought it because I was becoming dissatisfied with my old Series 9000. Initially it worked ok but it didn’t seem much better than the one I had. I used my new 9000 until I felt I had to replace the shaing heads. Instead of an improvement I was frustrated with the overly sharp blades. It took about a week to break it in. In the months that follwed i became very upset with the difficult time I was having getting a close shave. It got to the point where I just couldn’t get a decent shave and hated the whole act of shaving. I decided to try something else. I considered Panasonic and Braun. I was very leery of buying a razor that didn’t look like my Norelco. I didn’t think I’d like a straight razor head. I was afraid it wouldn’t shave my neck very well. Well, I was so wrong. I purchased a Braun series 8 razor and I was shocked. The shave was so smooth and took half the time. I couldn’t believe it. Now i am happy to shave because I can get the result I expect. Smooth everywhere. In addition, I bought the Braun on April 26 and just charged it on May 23. I have never had a Norelco that could do that. It came with a powered case which must also be charged. If you travel, you won’t need a vharging cord because the case will give you an additional 50% power so you could go two extra weeks without your cord. I just used the cleaning station for the first time and after cleaning the razor was perfectly clean. It station also charges your razor. I must admit the instructions that come with the razor are awful. They assume that you will be able to figure everything out from a series of pictures with no verbal explanation. I had to goto YouTube and watch videos to learn how to use the cleaning station. I also learned that the cleaning solution is reusable up to 30 times. I will probably clean the razor more iften now that I know that. Bottom line is that I have made the switch and will not be hoing back. In my opinion the Braun is worth the money spent It took a lifetime but I’m a Braun fan now!

So far my son really loves it so far. Says gives closer shave than Remington. Deducted a star because of price and instructions are not good and the cleaning setup is confusing. Solid value on sale but full retail is too pricey vs performance.

I've been using the shaver for probably 3 weeks now and I am amazed how wonderful it shaves! It's way quicker than any other favor I've had and yet it doesn't give you rug burn like most new Shavers will. And I have not had to charge it yet I can't believe how long this thing goes on a charge, my previous shaver would have to be charged every 4 days. Anyone on the fence contemplating buying this charger I would 100% tell you to jump and do it I know it's expensive but it is well worth the money! And if you purchase it on a Best Buy card you get however many months of zero interest to pay it off and if you're part of The Geek Squad you automatically get a 24-month warranty so it's a win-win ! One feature that I didn't fully understand when I was looking into buying this shaver is what I call the little shaver coffin it comes in LOL it's a big storage pod that protects it when you're traveling and it actually a battery pack that charges it so you can charge it without even being plugged into the wall, that's pretty darn awesome!

I'm very happy with my Braun shaver, it is comfortable, close, and the shaver keeps its charge for a good while. I also like the slide up trimmer. I'm retired and don't shave every day, but it's still on the first charge after a month. It's a bit pricey, but you also get a cleaning unit. For me, it's worth the price.

I have never liked electric razors, because of an injury. I have to use one for a while. This series 8 Braun shaver works very well. The instructions that came with the shaver are a finalist for the worst instructions ever, connected with any appliance or automobile that I’ve owned in decades.

Great purchase overall. I have relatively sensitive skin and almost every other shaving method gives me razor burn. With this, I have none. The home base is nice and keeps the shaver clean and charged. I travel a lot for work and the charging case comes in very handy.

Great shaver. I get a very smooth shave every time. Only need to charge it every 3 or 4 weeks. It replaced a Braun series 5 shaver. The series 8 is by far a better shaver.

Awesome shaver and leaves little to no bumps or irritation. Cleaning kit is so helpful and the travel case makes it easy to take on trips.

Very nice long battery charge. Case is also very nice hard to misplace. The beard trimmer is also very nice and works well.

Great Razor!! Most electric razors don't work for me and they have a hard time with thick hair. This one works great! Recommend if you are cursed with thick facial hair.

The Braun Series 8 shaver works great. This is the 3rd Braun electric shaver that I have purchased during the last 30 years. The product is well made. The electric charging station feature of the sturdy travel case is a nice feature. The cleaning and charging station works well.

So far so good. I didn't need to charge it out of the box and have used it a few times and still retains a charge.

Great razor love the pop up trimmer not much different than the7 series. Based on the price difference I would rate the 7 just as good as the 8 Both of them give a close shave w no irritation

I had the previous model, however this model is definitely better.

The series 8 works really well compared to some of the cheaper electric razors I've used in the past.

Upgraded from a model I purchased 8 years ago. Despite new blades the old one wasn’t shaving as well any longer. This one has been phenomenal and have only charged once in two weeks. Daily rinsing out.
