A: The Bamboo Cutting Board we manufacture for this model makes a perfect heat deflector as it is designed to allow it to remain on top of the oven at all times including during extended operation.
Q: How hot does the outside of the oven get? Does the handle get hot?
A: The outside of the oven does get very hot. The handle, not so much. I just place my oven near an opened window so that it will cool off faster.
A: This oven is 1800 watts. At 1800 watts, the current required for a 120 V circuit would be 15 amps. Recommended that on a circuit no more than 80% of a circuit should be utilized. So.... 20 amp circuit x 0.8 = 16 amps. You need a circuit with probably 20 amps. Now other things can be used on the circuit but not necessarily all at the same time. Hope this helps.
A: There are pans that come with it, but I use other pans all the time. The only one I would consider "special" is the airfry basket, but you can use any pan you like under it to catch drippings. I actually ordered one of those copper air fry pans to use in this. It comes with a basket and drip pan. The pan I use now for drippings is actually the broil pan that came with the oven. No problems with using my other pans or anything flaking off. If it does, I'll just go get another. All pans wear out at some point, I guess. Hope this helps.
A: Yes, when cooking foods that have a lot of moisture in them, the Breville® BOV900 Smart Oven® Air will ventilate steam from around the door which can cause the control LCD screen to fog up.
Q: Does it bring a drip pan for when the air fryer is in use?
A: All Breville® Smart Ovens® including the BOV900 Smart Oven® Air, do come with a crumb tray included. The baking pan can also be placed on the bottom rack when air frying to prevent drips from coming into contact with the elements.
Q: Can I put 2 air fryer baskets in at the same time if I buy an extra basket?
A: Yes, two air fry baskets can be used at once in the Breville® BOV900 Smart Oven® Air.
Q: what is ths option 'proof' mean? is it like steam?
A: The proof function of the oven doesn't make steam but holds a steady temperature for bread rising.
