This is our second Breville tea kettle (still have both). It could not be easier to use and clean. It boils water very quickly. I think the price is quite high compared to other brands I have owned - Capresso, Salton - but it does seem faster and I like that it is all stainless.

I like that it heats water really fast, and it looks classy in our new kitchen. I also like the large capacity. Sometimes I can see the water is boiling but the auto switch hasn't turned off yet, and if taken off the base, I don't like that it doesn't switch off as other (sometimes cheaper) brands do. That means when I return the kettle to the base, it is still powered up, even if the kettle is empty. This would be a great safety feature to add.

This Kettle is exactly what we needed. The other kettle we had did not have an easy lid to open. This one opens quite slowly and is easy to fill. Large capacity and the clear glass allows one to see the water boil quite vigorously.

Boils water fast. Use it for more than tea/coffee. Love that I never have to worry about it boiling dry.

I bought this as a gift for my mom to replace an older electric kettle that had reached its end of life. It’s been months now, and we talk a few times a week. Without fail she tells me, “I just love my new kettle!”

Bad quality the base is marked brown in 3 months, I need to return or exchange for other version. I don’t recommenders to buy the product.

Had it for a little over a year. Since I live in Florida I make maybe few teas a month. Shortly after warranty expired the lid start to open on its own while boiling water. Very dangerous since you can close it or you will burn your hand.

Guaranteed to fail right around the one year mark. It's a bit expensive to run that risk. The lid will stop catching and or will prematurely open with just a little steam build up before the water is even hot. Automatic shutoff will start to fail. I hoped that in buying a more expensive product it would have better performance. Now I wish I had purchased a less expensive unit

If I knew this kettle carried the warning I wouldn't of purchased it. It does not state this anywhere in the description of this product. I called Breville and they couldn't tell me what part of this kettle warranted the warning. Therefore it will be returned.

Huge waste of money. The plastic lid is ill designed and will stop catching right after your warranty is up and you will be left with an expensive kettle with a lid you cannot close.
