Purchased this to replace a competitor's temperature controlled tea kettle that had broken. It is a quality product. Pro's: - can set temperature - solidly built - heats water fast & quietly Only One Con: Why does it beep so much? It beeps when the water is hot -- that's good. But what's the point of beeping when . . . - the kettle is lifted off the base. (I know that; it's in my hand) - the kettle is put back on the base. (Again, it's in my hand) - change the water temp setting. (There's a visual light to tell me that) - start the kettle. (Again, the light changes color to tell me that) The beeps are moderately loud, so if you are using this in a quiet setting it may be annoying. Breville should at least allow one to turn off the beeps.

I've had this Breville kettle for about a month now, and I am extremely happy with the purchase. It boils water very quickly and the temperature settings are a great convenience, as I love green and white tea and my husband only drinks black. I set the temperature for green, pour water for my tea, then put the pot back and set it for black. A few seconds later it's ready. My only complaint is that it beeps too often, as every time you remove it from the base or put it back, it lets you know! A beep when it reaches the set temperature would be enough. But that is a minor distraction and I hardly notice it anymore. All in all, a great kettle that I highly recommend. I only hope it lasts forever!

Great kettle. Solid build. Different temps is nice. Looks nice. A little loud for some reason. Wish it had WiFi! Bought a second one for my parents.

Wife still uses it still to this very day, hasn’t been an issues. Does get gross after awhile with lime scale built up from hard water, just use vinegar to dissolve it and rinse.

I used an electric kettle last summer at my cousin's home. I decided to purchase this one since it has a selection of temperatures and is in the price range I wanted to spend. The water is heated quickly and being able to select a lower temperature than boiling is excellent for Green Tea. The selections indicate what type of Tea is used for the temperature as well. I am very happy with this product.
