I've only been using the product for less than a week and so far, it is performing as promised. Getting started was a little dicey not having any resources to refer to setting up geofences, etc. but I have worked through all of that through trial-and-error method. I suggest the extended battery pack unless you have unrestricted access to the vehicle, otherwise, the unit alone will only last for 3-10 days on its own depending upon how much the person drives in a day. Also, we haven't had any snow or inclement weather yet since I've had it, so I don't know how well it will hold up with that. Overall, so far, I'm happy I made the purchase. If you buy this unit make sure you get the insurance to go with it in case your unit falls off, gets discovered, or gets lost and you're unable to retrieve the unit. I've already had to replace one unit. Note: If the car has a low front end (any sedan or regular car) think about placing the unit in the back under the back bumper on the frame of the car. I did not have luck trying to place the unit on the frame on the side of the car or under the front bumper (Honda Civic Si) but the back bumper was perfect for it. Make sure you can't move the unit once it's affixed to the frame, otherwise, it will fall off eventually because of bad road conditions, snow, etc. It is NOT a small unit to place, so be smart about placing it out of site!
