This Brother All In One Laser Printer checks off all the boxes that I wanted in a printer. Toner vs ink, a document feeder for scanning which I do a large amount of and fast printing. Installation was very simple and I really like the fact that it's wireless. This printer is Energy Star rated which I like as well.

I needed to replace my B& W laser printer and did research and this one looked the best. I found it to be true, very fast printing, easy set-up, works well with PC and Mac. The only downside is it’s a bit bigger than my last one, but it does two sided copies so that’s an added plus. No complaints.

For the money, an excellent buy!

---SETUP--- The setup for the Brother DCP L2250 printer may require some help because of its bulky size and weight. It is recommended that you download the software via a computer instead of a mobile phone, so that’s what I did. Installation was a breeze and connecting the printer to my WiFi network was simple with the WPS button from my router and the WiFi button on the printer. ---FEATURES--- The key feature of this printer is that it can hold 250 pages in the tray, can print double-sided, can print wirelessly, and is an all in one solution for businesses (print, scan, fax). ---PERFORMANCE--- The performance of this printer is fast for small business needs. I’m a teacher and sometimes the school’s printer fails or is being used by many of my coworkers. I took this printer to my classroom and I printed 50 pages, front and back in about 5 minutes (it can do 36 pages per minute when single sided). The printer didn’t slow down and all pages came out with a great crisp look. ---EXPECTATIONS--- The product meets my expectations. I tried out the scanner mode on a wrinkled certificate award that I had received but valued. I fed it through the top auto-document feeder and it scanned my certificate in full color perfectly. I then printed a copy just to test out the side feeder using cardstock and the printer didn’t fail to impress. The only downside I found to the printer is that in the button panel itself, it only had buttons for up and down arrows to navigate. The problem is that frequently, you are asked to make options that are left and right of each other with arrows pointing up or down as your choices. This gets confusing and slows down productivity, but it just takes some time to relearn it’s quirks. I would have prefered a whole crosspad (up, down, left, right arrows) for easier menu navigation when not printing directly from a computer or mobile phone. ---VALUE--- The price for the printer in terms of value is quite competitive compared to other laser printers. ---APPROVAL--- I highly recommend this product for people who own businesses and are looking for an all in one solution to their business needs. This printer uses toner instead of ink and can only print in black and white. If your business fits this criteria, it’s a great entry level office printer with a few odd choices for button options. Still, it won’t disappoint.

I have used only inkjet printers over the years and have always suffered from two problems: Either the ink would run out too quickly and I had to buy expensive replacements, or the ink would dry up in the dispenser if I went too long in between printing sessions. For these reasons I have always wanted a laser printer that uses a toner cartridge. I am stoked that I don't have to worry about ink for a long time as toner cartridges last forever. Pros: - Easy to set up. I used the printer menu to connect to my wireless network then installed the Mopria app on my phone and was printing wirelessly in no time flat. - As stated above, toner cartridges last forever. You don't have to worry about them drying up or running out after printing a few photos. - Can print on both sides of the paper Cons: - Black and white printing only. But I actually don't mind this as it's easy to upload and print photos at your local drug store or to use an online service to mail them to you. It is way cheaper than buying your own ink. - The menu display is poor. Printers from 10 years ago had interfaces like this one. While it's easy enough to navigate, it just seems like ancient technology. The buttons you press to navigate also seem cheap and feel like they could wear out over time. Overall, this is an excellent option for your printing needs. I recommend that everyone kick inkjet printers to the curb and go with laser printers, as you will save a lot of money and frustration.
Typing the wifi credentials is a painful process. Also the scanner stops working frequently. Not recommended

I have used brother printer for years. This is great upgrade from my non wireless Brother printer. It was time for an upgrade since I need to connect it to several devices besides one PC. Now I can connect it to 2 cellphones & 2 PC's to print import documents. The scanner and copier are a great feature. The software that it comes with help utilize the printer better. The instructions that it came with helped in setting it up with the wifi. Overall right now it's a great printer.

Brother printers have always been my go to printer, Simply all of them have been reliable, value packed, easy to setup, easy to operate, low cost per page, and this one the, DCP-L2550DW has been no disappointment in any way. It was one the easiest to setup and it can print from my laptop, tablet, and phone.

This printer replaced Brother's previous model. That printer was 12 years old and is now still working at my parents' house. The setup was a complete breeze. And since owning it last fall, I have run at least 4 reams of paper through it and replaced the toner once. The advantage of this printer is it will automatically print two sides and will collate multiple copies of a document. After 2000 pages it has yet to jam once. It scans well. I have not tried using its fax function. I found this printer for less money elsewhere but Best Buy, keeping their word, honoured the price difference to my card immediately. Before you set this printer up..... (here comes the protip) do not put the Brother starter cartridge in. Order some lovely generic TN-350 cartridges from EZInk and start with those. This completely bypasses the possibility that your printer will howl "foul!" about using off-brand carts; which are, of course, 1/4 the price of Genuine Brother cartridges. Sometimes a printer will recognize if you slipped in generic and will flood you with dire messages about authenticity. But I have never had a lick of trouble using generic toner. Ever. Compared to my previous Brother printer the copier function is twice as fast. And it makes excellent copies. Not a single jam yet.

The 2550 does a decent job printing documents 2 sided, but doesnt do so hot with copying and scanning. Only copies and scans one side. Print quality is good, unit is not too loud, connectivity to macbook, macbook air, and Ipad is not so good. All my lder Brothers connected flawlessly, ut this one has problems with the software the printer preferences are not like they used to be. They have really dumbed down and gone south. Geek Squad support sucks. Nit worth the 4 year plan. The customer service is horrible. You have to figure out everything yourself because they dont have a clue. Best Buy has really gone down hill. Do not recommend geek squad support for printers. Prices better at Amazon.

Great printer. Quiet operation and very quick. I would definitely recommend this printer if a black and white all in one without fax functionality is all you need.

I have owned ink jet printers in the past. So far, this laser printer is quite the step up in speed and simplicity. Wireless is very nice feature

Got tired of paying insane prices for ink so got this laser printer from Brother. Loved it so much, gifted one to my sister as well. I print very rarely so having something that does not dry is very important to me. Print speed is fast. Scan could be better but works for my case. Scanning with the ADF introduced a slight tilt to the scanned docs. Wish Brother could figure that out. Scanning software that comes with this is pretty basic. My old HP had cropping which this does not. Overall this works great for an office type situation.
