This is a wonderful printer that works exactly as presented. While I don't use it every day, when I need it, I need it. I'd would recommend this printer to anyone needing a great black and white laser printer. What do I like most about it? Answer: I like that it only has to take 1 black cartridge and I get 3,000 copies out of it. Go for it! PS It also prints two sided printing as well!

Takes a few minutes to set up, wish they had an individual video for each product but honestly such a joy when it started print. Screw ink cartridges for life! Fine to keep on the floor as shown, connects to a wall outlet fairly easily (cable is decently long.)

I have previously owned HP printer and it constantly wouldnt connect to wifi. I downloaded the Brother APP and connected first attemot. And I have had no issues connecting from other devices and tablets.

This printer is an excellent choice for home use. We don’t print often and don’t require color, so it’s perfect for our needs. The cartridge lasts years and won’t dry out like typical home printers. Setting it up was a breeze, and I love printing directly from my phone.

This is a fine little printer. I went for the two-sided option to save a bit of paper from time to time. The printer likes wireless access with both Windows and Linux machines. Much appreciated! The unit is light in weight, which makes it simple to move from place to place. I consider that an excellent feature.

I’ve gone through a few HP and Epson printers, wasted so much money on ink cartridges, $30-$50 each that feels like they need to be replaced every 50 pages. Prints are blurry especially with usps bar codes. Finally switched to this Brother printer since I mostly print black and white. It prints so much more quiet (I used to hear my Epson printer from downstairs while it was upstairs) and so crisp! The usps bar codes are so fine and so clear. Can’t complain, also, this timer looks like it will print hundreds if not thousands before it needs to be replaced. No regrets here!

I bought the a Brothers Laser Printer because I owned 2 other printers with ink cartridges that broke down. The set-up was very easy and now enjoy the quality printer.

It’s very easy to set up it connected with no problem or hesitation. It walked me through the instructions. The only thing that’s disappointing is that it doesn’t have a copy feature otherwise it’s great and very very user-friendly.

This is a great value ! Starter ink gives 500 pages. Once you need to replace toner it is a very easy process. Very happy to have this at work !

I got an old printer sold as new for full price.My warranty was from last year and I just got it this June Got with customer care and wasn given any discount nor any extended warranty rather was with best buy agent for almost an hour. They tried to sell me annual best buy membership!! I was cheated and scammed by best buy and they didn’t even bother reducing price to that of a used printer!! Never buying again!!

Overall, this printer excels in convenience and efficiency, making it an excellent choice for anyone seeking a reliable, hassle-free device—I'd highly recommend it.

The brother HL-L2460DW is an excellent low cost and efficient printer. I use Brother laser printers from monochrome to color and all have been great. The 2460DW is replacing a Brother 2070N I got in 2006 that lasted through multiple drums and toner and never stopped cranking out paper. But it’s gotten old. I got it in 2006 for $140 and the 2460DW is basically the current version of it now for an MSRP of $160. More memory, more features, and 17 years of improvements. I got the 2460DW because I want an Ethernet port on the printer to connect to my home network. Anyone operating wirelessly can still connect and print to the printer. The printer also has wireless (2.4GHz and 5GHz bands) built in, and an USB connection. One big difference between the 2460DW and the non ethernet versions, the 2400D and the 2405W, is the 2460DW has double the memory of them. The 2460DW has 128MB RAM the others only 64MB RAM. The 2460DW also prints faster in single and double sided mode than the other two versions. The 2460 is compact, about 7”x14” and 15lbs. and holds 250 sheets of paper (20 lbs). It has automatic double sided printed if wanted. It comes with a standard toner cartridge, ~1200 pages, and has an XL cartridge, ~3000 pages. The cartridges are the TN830 and TN830XL respectively. Setup is easy. Basically, unpack and slide in the drum/cartridge unit, plug int and turn on. There is a 1 line LCD screen to help in setup. I was able to assign an IP address directly through the interface. If not, you can use wi-fi or USB. Setting up the printer through the software was simple too, although for wired you use the wireless selection, and it installs fine. The 1 line LCD screen conveys a lot of information and lets you alter the printer as you wish, but it’s easier through the software. For low end printer you won’t get an LCD screen, but, the 1 line LCD line does the job. A sticker on the back has the default password and MAC addresses. The Brother BRAdmin Professional 4 software utility picked up my printer and all its settings with no issues. I can see it with all my other Brother printers. If you don’t want to install the full software and just print, using the Windows add printer function will also work fine. Windows saw the printer and installed the basic drivers on other computers and laptops. You can also get software to print from mobile devices. I had no issues using them. The 2460DW prints up to 1200x1200 dpi. Black and white and grayscale look fantastic. Letter size 1 sided is up to 36 pages a minute and 2 sided up to 8.5 double sided pages a minute. First page can print in less than 8.5 seconds. I used with standard 20lbs paper and had no issues. No jams or blemishes on the paper. The printed area will hold up to 100 pages. There is a manual slot for envelops and other paper types too. Overall, it’s not too loud and prints come out great. Saves a ton of money over inkjet if you don’t need color. Laser printers are precise, fast, and this one not too expensive. Manuals and printer specific software and drivers can all be found on the Brother website if needed or wanted. If you don’t need a scanner/fax/copier and don’t have huge volumes to print this Brother printer works. Its recommended monthly volume is ~2,500 pages. It’s a simple printer and works, and the build quality seems good. The printer can also be used with Brother refresh if you know how much toner you need on a consistent basis. I expect this printer to last a long time.

This printer replaces a +20yr old Brother printer. I went to get a toner cartridge for it and it was hard to find, and when I found it it was more expensive than I expected. My old printer was 300dpi, this one is 1200dpi. My old printer printed 10-12ppm, this one prints 36ppm. My old printer was not wireless, I could not easily print to it from my phone or tablet. My old printer had no security services, this one has all the latest. My old printer consumed 12w in standby, this consumes 0.4w. Both printed double sided, but this one is SO much faster. my old printer had 4gb memory, this one has 64gb (handling graphics much better). And this printer is so much quieter when printing (49db). I took the toner out of its package, removed the protective plastic on the cartridge, ran the cleaner back and forth (green tab on cartridge) and then inserted the cartridge. I turned it on, and then followed instructions using the Brother "Mobile Connect" application, which optionally allows you to print on your printer from anywhere in the world (over the internet, when registering it and setting up an account with Brother). And this printer is eligible to work with the Brother Refresh program, which will ship you new printer cartridges before you run out of toner (program based on number average number of pages printed per month). Set up was complete in under 5 minutes. Extremely easy to do with their app. I printed a couple of documents that I had on my phone and found that the quality of normal and fine printing to be nearly identical. Normal uses less toner. And the speed to get the first page printed was under 8 seconds. The output was exceptional. So for a few dollars more than a new cartridge for my old printer I have a printer that is 3x faster, with 3x the quality output and it's quieter and uses far less power and I can print on it wirelessly. New standard output cartridges are about $50/cartridge (less than half what I need to spend on a new cartridge for my old printer. Seems like a winner all the way around. I am most happy with my upgraded Brother printer. If I get another 20 years out of this printer it's an excellent deal.

The Brother - HL-L2460DW is a nice budget friendly printer with duplex printing that’s great for a home office. Setup is easy and straightforward with the brother app and even someone who isn’t good with setting up tech can have it up and running quickly. Besides the duplex printing feature the other big feature for me is being able to print from an iPhone or iPad via AirPrint. Using more and more mobile devices this is a huge convenience when not on my pc. Though I’m not sure it’s needed with a printer, it is capable of using either 2.4ghz or 5ghz wireless spectrum. While using the app to setup the machine is easy, the app doesn’t have much functionality. You can use it to print, though with AirPrint you don’t need to. You can’t update the firmware for the machine with the app which is kinda surprising. When you try it directs you to Brothers website and wants you to create an account. Not the end of the world especially if you are using this with a pc, as it can easily be done from there. Overall, it’s a nice budget friendly printer with good speed and duplex printing.
