Great Album -- underrated -- the pressing has excellent sound

“The Rising” by Bruce Springsteen has been has his seminal testament in the aftermath of 9/11. The album consist of many moods and stories, some uplifting, many ominous and drenched in loss. I have “enjoyed” listening to this album since its initial release, nearly 20 years ago. Then, recently, on the somber 20th Anniversary of those events, I bought vinyl copies for each of my sons (now in their 20’s).

Not disappointed one bit in the pressing of The Rising reissue. This has long been on my wishlist to add to my collection and I'm glad Bruce finally got around to reissuing it! Sleeve and discs are high quality, top notch production and of course the music is timeless. Sounds just as good as when it came out in '02. Of course there's a lot of emotion tied to this record as it was a sort of therapy for the nation after 9/11, but after all this time it doesn't seem dated, hokey or misplaced.

This is an excellent pressing of this album by The Boss. Highly recommended.
