I was really excited when this was planned to come out. I remember ordering this movie off pay-per-view back when I was in high school and how much it used to make me laugh and make me scared. The performances have obviously gone down quality since I last washed it, but it was still a fun revisit. You can't beat the price either. That and comes with a digital copy, yes please! It's funny that they're doing all these remakes of Buffy right now so this was a cool item to get.

Many people forget that this gloriously cheesy, lovely movie was the world's introduction to Buffy, the Vampire Slayer (albeit a less dark and serious version than fans of the tv show may be used to), and a product of Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV), Angel (TV), Firefly (TV), Dr. Horrible, The Avengers, etc....) as well as the triumphant return of Paul Reubens, aka Pee-wee Herman. I love that classic actors like Rutger Hauer and Donald Sutherland get in on the fun, with Kristy Swanson, Luke Perry, Hilary Swank, David Arquette , and Stephen Root (remember Milton, from Office Space? Not to mention a huge list of acting and voice credits), really making this campy vampire movie classic. If you're looking for "serious" vampire flicks, this isn't for you. If you're looking for some laughs, great one-liners and the story of a classic, early 90's valley girl, turned the latest in a long-line of initially reluctant Slayers, give this a try. If you look carefully, you might also see the tiny cameos from Ben Affleck, Alexis Arquette, Seth Green, Ricki Lake and even Slash, from Guns N Roses!

This movie does not have many extras and the packaging is very few with an eco back so if you are all about environmental stuff this should make you happy. The video and audio quality is great and it comes with a digital download that is great for people looking to watch anywhere they travel. Would recommend to those that are really interest or have watched the Tv SHOW.

This one is still a classic. Most of the film holds up over time, even though some of the moments in it are cringe-worthy by today's standards. It was Joss Whedons first film, and the extremely clever dialog and plot showcase this. Kristy Swanson is great as Buffy. It was still fun to watch Lo these many years later! Yes, that the TV series was based on this movie.

So, not the greatest film but talk about superb hammy performances from, Rutger Hauer, Paul rubens and Donald sutherland, top that off with 80's heart throbs Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry ( a little dash of David Arquette) and you have 90 minutes of pure fun. Also it has cred for being the spark that became Buffy and Angel in the 90's.

FUNNY THING IS. I SAW THIS MOVIE THE FIRST TIME LONG AFTER GETTING INTO & BUYING THE ENTIRE SERIES. MS SWANSON. PULLED IT OFF WELL ENOUGH. LUKE PERRY WAS SUCH A DREAMBOAT.

If you were into the BTVS TV show by Joss Whedon, then you have got to check out where it all began!!! This is a funny cult classic of the 90's. If you are part of the Whedonverse or just like cheesy-funny vampire movie, this is A MUST SEE!!!

Watched this as a kid and it used to scare me so much, as I got older never understood why it was scary, more corny than anything. Since I’d watched it so much as a kid definitely had to get it for blu-Ray and 25th anniversary edition!

What’s not to like about this campy darkish comedy. It had been a while since I had seen it, found it on sale and figured why not. Not necessary to own this, but worth a watch, and for a low enough price worth owning.

This film is the sort-of precursor to the series of the same title. Honestly, the series was better than the film, but the movie set the tone very well. Great dark comedy, and a worthy addition to any fan's collection.

This is one of those movies that is so silly it is funny! Good story line, cheesy acting intentionally, that's what makes it funny. I do recommend it for those days you need a laugh and just don't want to be serious.

A valley girl (Kristy Swanson) is chosen to eradicate her town of vampires. Donald Sutherland plays her advisor. Several familiar faces appear in the movie. Quite a few unintentionally funny moments.

For those that remember this movie, it became an instant classic. The death seen of Paul Reubens alone still makes me laugh. Do not watch the TV series until you see the movie that started it all.

The hilarious film that gave way to the iconic television show. Kristy Swanson, Luke Perry, Rutger Hauer, and of course Paul “PeeWee” Rubens in the cult classic comedy! I love this film.

The movie before the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer is charming and funny, with strong performances from Kristy Swanson and Donald Sutherland--and an exceptional one by Paul Reubens.

Loved this movie when it came out in 1992. Had the vhs and no way to play it. Found it on blu-ray. Just saddened they took Luke off the cover art and only kept one main character.

What a wonderful movie & a great way to remember Luke Perry. This is also the movie that inspired the series. Great 90s movie with action, teenage angst, & some romance.

This is a great movie for horror fan, I loved that they made this movie in the early 90’s. It kind of reminds me of the 90’s X-men cartoons but with vampires.

Buffy gets cramps whenever they(vampires) are around. She has her own detector and the skills to find them and put them where they belong.(back in the cemetery)
