The Burning Sensation will scorch your senses as it takes you into the heart of the Burning Man experience. In 2001 some 20,000+ souls made a pilgrimage to the Black Rock Desert to practice radical self-expression and self-reliance in a temporary, commerce-free community. At the end a 50-foot high, neon-lit, wooden effigy is burned, igniting a wild, tribal, allnight celebration. The world s largest venue for public art, Burning Man has elements of a Vegas acid trip, a nudist colony, a pyrotechnic convention, the Rose Bowl parade, a rave, the Museum of Modern Art, and a Mad Max movie dispersed over the 107 degree desert. The film captures intense footage of several art events as well as interviews with Burning Man organizers Larry Harvey (also co-founder), Crimson Rose and Will Roger who explain how, what started in 1986 as an impromptu Summer Solstice celebration, put on by a few friends at a beach in San Francisco, has turned into a full-blown exercise in city planning and management with a hefty price-tag. This temporary city is the 6th largest in Nevada. Some of the featured art events include Burial In Space by Woodpussy (a group of musicians and pyro-technicians who blast their deceased founder into space in a rocket of their own creation); Nebulous Entity and Futura Deluxe (two large, roving installation pieces engineered using mathematics derived from fields of neural networks, ecological systems and fractals); and a performance artist Dea Million who stages her wedding to America.

SENT is a documentary on Fr. Stan Fortuna, a jazz, hip hop Franciscan priest who mixes music with message and serves the poor in the South Bronx and internationally. Before his calling to the priesthood, he was a professional jazz bassist and still plays Birdland with his trio when time permits. Fr. Stan is a founding member of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal who embrace "radical poverty" and live an ascetic lifestyle of friars in some of the poorest areas in North America, South America and Europe. Due to his talent for music, Fr. Stan has been invited to do concerts and preach the Gospel in numerous countries around the world. SENT follows Fr. Stan to various events and provides insight into his passion for music and for his faith.
FIELDS OF FUEL is a feature length theatrical documentary about one man's search for a solution to America's dependence on foreign oil. It tells the story of Josh Tickell, an alternative fuel zealot who grew up in the shadows of a Louisiana oil refinery. Ten years ago he set out on a mission to promote biodiesel, a clean burning, renewable fuel by touring the country in The Veggie Van, a motor home fueled by used French fry oil. His road trip earned him national media attention. But America wasn't ready to listen. Instead they bought SUVs and hummers. Ten years later in a post 9-11 world our country is engulfed in an oil war, our environment is being destroyed and gas prices have gone through the roof. FIELDS OF FUEL is the story of how Josh launches the Veggie Van on a new biodiesel-fueled quest to find out how we got into this mess and more importantly, how we get out. What he finds on his journey are new solutions to problems, new reasons to hope for the future and a growing grassroots movement passionate about the need for sustainable American made fuel.
