    • Image Sensor Size: 35mm Full Frame (36 x 24 mm)
    • Effective Pixels: 45 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
    • Standardized Video Resolution: 8K (4320p) (An approximated measurement of the product’s video resolution. This may not be the exact resolution of the product, which may be slightly more or less when using a pixel-by-pixel measurement.)
  • General
    • Brand: Canon
    • Model Number: 5077C024
    • Product Name: EOS R5 C 8K Video Mirrorless Cinema Camera with RF24-70 f/2.8 L IS USM Lens
    • Color: Black
    • Product Set: Body + RF24-70mm Lens
    • Camera Model Family: Canon R5
    • Digital Camera Type: Mirrorless Camera with Lens
  • Imaging
    • Image Sensor Type: CMOS (CCD and CMOS are the two main technologies used in image sensors. CCD, the older of the two types, turns analog light signals into digital pixels. This conversion happens without distortion, resulting in high-quality images. Newer CMOS sensors use transistors at each pixel to move electrical charges. CMOS sensors are typically less expensive, but also require more light to create distortion-free images.)
    • Image Sensor Size: 35mm Full Frame (36 x 24 mm)
    • Total Pixels: 47 megapixels (Generally, the more pixels, the higher the image resolution and the finer the detail that can be seen.)
    • Digital Zoom: 10x (A digital zoom is accomplished electronically, with no adjustment of the camera's optics, and no optical resolution gained in the process. The existing data is not enhanced or added to, merely displayed at a lower resolution, thereby giving an illusion of an enlarged image.)
    • In-Camera Image Stabilization: true (This feature helps reduce image blurring from camera motion. In-camera stabilization means the image sensor itself moves to counteract detected motion.)
    • Low Light/High Sensitivity: true (High sensitivity digital imaging devices are designed to work in low light conditions to produce a high dynamic range image.)
    • Image File Format(s): JPEG, RAW (Standardized software format(s) of storing digital images. The type of format chosen for capturing and compressing the image can determine quality, level of detail, and storage space required.)
  • Focus
    • Autofocus: true (Allows the camera to automatically focus through the lens, rather than by adjusting the lens manually.)
    • Eye Autofocus (Eye AF): false (Automatically seeks out and focuses on the subject's eye and holds it as the camera and subject move and as the photographer shoots at high frame rates.)
  • Exposure Control
    • Shutter Speeds: When [Mechanical] or [Elec. 1st- curtain] is set: 1/8000-30 sec, bulb When [Electronic] is set: 1/8000-0.5 sec. (The length of time the shutter remains open when the shutter release is activated, expressed in fractions of seconds. The longer the shutter is open, the more light that is able to be captured by the camera sensor.)
    • Minimum Aperture: f/22 (The smallest opening of a lens, typically expressed in f-numbers. The larger the number, the smaller the aperture and the less light that can enter the lens. A smaller aperture creates a larger depth of field, which keeps both foreground and background in focus.)
    • Maximum Aperture: f/2.8 (The limit to how wide a lens can be open, typically expressed in f-numbers. The smaller the number, the larger the aperture and the more light that can enter the lens. A larger aperture creates a shallower depth of field, helpful for keeping subjects in focus and blurring background details.)
    • Minimum ISO: 100 (ISO is the measurement of a camera image sensor's light sensitivity. When there is plenty of light, using the lowest ISO setting available will typically result in a higher quality image.)
    • Maximum ISO: 51200 (ISO is the measurement of a camera image sensor's light sensitivity. In low-light environments, using a higher ISO setting helps to capture a sharp, bright image.)
    • Maximum Expandable ISO: 102400 (ISO is the measurement of a camera image sensor's light sensitivity. Expandable ISO settings use software to simulate brighter images than the device's native ISO range is capable of capturing.)
    • Brightness Control: true (Allows the camera to adjust the brightness of a captured image for optimal exposure.)
    • Burst Mode: true (Also referred to as continuous shooting. This feature captures multiple shots in rapid succession.)

    THE HYBRID CAMERA

This is such a true hybrid camera in todays world. All thw bideo features im used to coming from black magic (BMPCC6k) with the full prodessional photo features. Im a photigrpaher first but always been fascinated with video as it it basically a lot of oicturebin one haha. Also, video was oaying me more at the time. Im coning from t6i on the photo side so this I a huge upgrade. I shot my bmpcc in all types of formats from social media (vertical), event recaps, convert highlights, weddings, doc and interview and run and gun work. Everything manual of course and I absoultetly loved it. Still do. I just wish it could have been used for photos (it fan but not like traditional photo camera). I literally stopped offering photographs because seeing the quality from bmpcc6k image couldbt compared to t6i without a studio photo shoot feel. BOOM, I knew the r5c was the one for me. Took me some time to finalky get it but it is exaclty what I knew I needed. Went ahead with the 24-70. My first full fram camera. Havent shot a large scale video on it yet but pretty fun for video. Photos are a no brainer. Much more professionak looking than shooting with my iphone 15 pro which honestly took beautifuk pics at 48mp I think but nothing beats an actual camera. Excited to get norw work on this. Glad I can just take on camera now for regukar recarp events to capture both contents if needed and I still have my bmpcc6k as b cam. Love the dual recording too. Peace of mind for professional paid gigs (or anything honestly lol). If I didnt do video to start with, I probablt would have hone with the r6ii because it is about 1k cheaper but I genuinely used things like false color and wanted to experiment with the 8k resolution for things like the digital crops to expand on some of my lenses as I work on getting this expensive rf glass. Focusing is beautiful. For photos, one or two batteries will get you through a day. Video, you can shoot 4k h265 60fps for maybe 30 minutes. Def recommend external battery (npf or vmount) if you are planning on really shooting but the option is there if you want to have light weight. Just bo 8k or raw recording without external battery. If you just photos but want video maybe, id recommend r6ii or even r5ii but if youre like me coning from video oriented side like bmpcc6k and actually used those features, just get it. Youll already be used to righing things up for video anyway so it no big problem fr.
