I'm a long time video editor, but only an amateur photographer. I decided to take the leap from the Canon M50 into the Full-Frame world of the Canon R6, and I absolutely love it. Pros: 1. Feels great in the hand.Easy to hold. 2. IBIS is great even for handheld video shots 3. Overheating has not been an issue for me yet, and I have recorded a decent amount of 4k videos throughout 3-4 hour photography / video sessions. 4. CLOG looks amazing, especially through a CamLink / directly recording from HDMI 5. Autofocus is fast 6. Eye autofocus is great on people, and works 75%-ish of the time on animals in my experience. Sometimes it will grab the fur / back / feathers instead of eyes. 7. Dual card slots are great - already saved me a day of shooting when my computer decided to eat a card 8. Flip screen is easy to use 9. Menu system is super easy to use and navigate. I can change settings on the fly and within 30 seconds be in a completely different shooting mode Cons: 1. Battery does NOT charge in the camera without the very overpriced adapter. This also means it's a bit of a bust for streaming. You can use a third party adapter at your own risk to supply power. 2. EF adapter is required to use EF lenses, and those are quite hard to find right now. 3. Lens lineup isn't huge in the RF market right now, but it looks to be expanding These cons aren't necessarily exclusive to the Canon R6, but I do feel like they bring the value of the ecosystem down a bit as a whole. That being said I am absolutely in love with this camera body and plan to use it for many years to come. I am currently using the kit lens as well as the RF 35mm, and both produce great images and videos. All in all, love it.

absolute WORK HORSE of a camera, Great low light - perfect for concerts and events. Still great for portraits! I will be getting a R5C soon to pair it for better video. The R6 is not great for video, even with updates it tends to overheat. Still everything I could need or want for the price for stills.

Husband loves his new camera. He use to have a camera from 2012, and he needed an upgrade. Now he takes it everywhere and has started to fall in love with photography again. He even started picking up new clients. Definitely recommend!

Great quality and price. HD is solid and 4K is sharp. Overheats in 4K60. Light weight and good battery life. Easy to use. Awesome for what I do, cars, weddings and real estate.

I love the camera and Lense. I'm not a photographer, I'm a point and shot. The quality of my photos is outstanding. I am so glade that I made this purchase. I use the equipment at church photographing events. Great purchase!

This the first Canon camera purchased within the first few months of release. Great camera, very intuitive and easy to use. This came has the same interface as other canon’s I have owned. I have been shooting photos only for 2 1/2 years and must say this r6 does wonderful job. I’m very happy with the eye focus on my animal photos. I never had any reservations about the 20 mg pixel sensor. This camera my go camera, I never leave home without it! Very glad I bought this new technology from Canon.

There is a way to shut off the shutter count and make the camera silent when shooting. The pictures are great and every youtube video shows it as very good for the price. Not five stars as I would like another smaller lens for closeups but that is just a stupid thing to say as it came as it did. Much of it is great and so I gave it as a gift.

Incredible quality. I purchased to take videos and photos of my son with hopes of starting a small photography business and I’m loving it so far.

A good camera. I use this to replace my old a7m2, and I feel ir is way better. Good quality, especially with this affordable 24-105 f/4-7.1 if you dan’t afford f/2.8.

I was interested in doing sports photography and did tons of research for the best camera and came upon this one. By far the best camera I have come across. I come with one battery that’s last about two to three hours a lens with covers and it has two SIM card ports for backup. I’ve had this camera for almost two years and it was the best purchase I made it very versatile for different activities

I would have given the Canon R6 5 stars if Canon had not left out the top LCD display from this model. That feature is so valuable for quickly changing settings and it was on many of their previous, less expensive models. Now it's gone to save cost and or to make space for other controls. The top mounted LCD display is included with the R5 model. I made the Canon R6 purchase mainly so I could make 4K video using my existing Canon EOS lenses (with adaptor) Overall, I love what the camera puts out for 4K video and photo quality. Auto-focus is so vastly improved improved over my 7D body. I don't regret the purchase at all... and I use it to make money with both video and photos. I held off purchasing previous mirrorless models from Canon due mostly to reports of their 4K not being super sharp. The 4K video from the R6 is excellent and very sharp. This camera has so many new features they'll take a while to learn and master.

Respect to canon one of the best photography and videographer cameras in the world.

Amateur photographer that knows nothing. I've been looking at and wanting a camera for a long time now and decided to go with this one for my first camera. Looking a reviews and comparing with other cameras, this is one of the best choice I've made. Fantastic camera, takes really nice photos. I'm still learning about photography and this is a great start. Will be buying more lens for this for this camera.

Great camera, great investment. Still learning how to use it. Lots of great features, such as the setting the zoom point yourself, 2 memory cards, i have mounted a canon zoom 100-400 lens and it works great

Love it! It’s the best camera I’ve ever bought! I started with a m50 and this R6 makes me wonder why I didn’t change a while ago. I was pleased with the M50 for the value, but the R6 is just amazing! Im not a professional, but I feel like it makes me take some great photos! It is a bit price but I can see the value.

I just updated my camera from a Canon 5D Mark iii, and i have to say, I'm very impressed! Overall, i can't believe how easy it was to get use to the new camera, and how fun it is to use with all the new features. I can't wait to use it more!
