Q: Can you use an external mic with this camera?
A: I have not been able to find an external microphone port on this camera.
A: Most of the differences between the original Canon PowerShot G9X vs the newer mark II are subtle, e.g. the newer camera has better bluetooth connectivity options (such as transferring pictures directly to your cell phone). However, one of the bigger differences between the two cameras is the processor. The G9X mark II has a newer, more powerful Digic 7 processor. This facilitates quite a few improvements, including a higher continuous shooting rate and better focus tracking. This also makes a big difference for those interested in shooting in the RAW picture format. Otherwise, both cameras are quite similar.
Q: Does the camera come with an SD card, or should I buy a separate one?
A: It does not come with a card. Get at least a 16GB.
Q: Does the camera come with a separate battery charger, or must it be charged through the camera?
A: It comes with a separet charger.
A: Yes. Nice little feature. I use it often. The app also allows you to transfer images from camera to your device
Q: Does this camera record videos, and if so, how’s the sound quality?
A: Yes, it does record videos. They are excellent, and the sound quality is excellent on mine.
Q: Does the camera comes with clear protection film over the screen?
A: No. However, you can purchase clear protective film and cut it to size.
Q: does the camera have a viewfinder
A: No, it does not. You use the LCD touchscreen.
